[SSBU Machinima] Elites of Light

Project Overview

Hello! Chaos X here again but this time making a Machinima project called "Elites of Light." I've been planning this project for about 7 months now but I hadn't exactly pitched it until now. During those 7 months, I was planning out the series as well as making scripts. So far, I have nearly most of them done so I thought that this would be the perfect time to try this project out and from the experience that I had from my other projects, I'm going to take this one more seriously.

What's Elites of Light about?

11 years after the Subspace War and the Original Elite Smashers disbanded, the World of Light were on the dangers of Subspace, which was spreading around quickly. Because of this, the Champions of the 4th decided to form a new Elite group. Who do they call to lead the group? An S-rank fighter? A surviving member of the Original Elite Smashers? Another Champion? A low-tier hotel porter name Isabelle?! What could possibly go wrong...


RULES:

  • Decent Mic (Little to No Background Noises)
  • Experienced in Voice Acting
  • Be dedicated and have time for the project
  • Be at least 18 or older
  • Be okay with cursing (some swears like the F word won't be used)
  • Must have a Discord
     

The characters below are the important characters that will be in ACT 1. More characters will be added in future casting calls. I look forward to listening to these auditions!

  • The Casting Call has ended.

    Thank you all for auditioning for Elites of Light ACT 1. The final round of characters has been casted. Although this casting call has ended, there will be another one when ACT 2 starts, so be on the look-out when that arrives. I appreciate everyone who decided to audition and support the series. I honestly didn't think I would reach over 200 auditions. The casting for this was really hard for me but I do love hearing all these different takes for these characters.   • Final Round of Characters for ACT 1

    As mentioned, I recently started college so I hadn't gotten much time to work on the next episode. What I decided to do was send every script for ACT 1 out for the cast to record so then when I get back and finish on episode 4, I can work on the next one a little faster. Doing so, I am in need of more additional characters, in fact, the final 8 characters: - Samus - Pichu (M) - Shulk - Lucas - Link - Fox - Kirby - Ms. General The deadline for this will be on September 12, 2020!   • Casting Call #2 is Finished!

    Thank you for everyone that auditioned! I'm surprised on how many auditions I got for these 5 new guys. Because of that, some of the casting was really hard to make. However, in the end, these were the final results. Those that were casted, I will be getting your Discords soon! There will be another Casting Call but once we reached the episode of an additional characters. As of now, it's time I continue to work on episode 2~ - Chaos X

  • More Characters Added!!!

    Hello everyone! For the next two episodes, we are looking for 5 additional characters for the series. Those characters are: Athena the Orange Inkling, Bowser, Joker, Arséne, and Mega Man. More info on their character and voice samples are within the casting call! I hope you can audition! ^^ I also had to change the age rating in the rules to 18+ so no one by under the age of 18 can audition anymore.   • Casting Call #1 Ended!

    Thank you all for audition for the first Casting Call for Elites of Light. It was difficult to cast most of the characters because you all did so great! Unfortunately, no one got casted as Isabelle and Bayonetta because I didn't find the voice I was looking for. So as a last resort, I decided that I will take on those two roles. However, everyone else was casted. For that were casted, I will message you to send me a friend request on Discord so we can start production on Elites of Light. BIO:

Samus, also known as Samus Aran, is a Veteran Fighter that used to be in the Original Elite Smashers during the 64 Era-Brawl Era. During the 2nd act of the Subspace War, Samus was on a mission to reduce the number of Subspace Robots in the Subspace Zone. However, her mission was put on a halt after her ship crashed in Venom. No one knew about her whereabouts and she was declared dead. After a couple of years, she awoke in the Subspace Zone, confused about the new world. Surviving in the Subspace on her own, she travels with a Pichu, who helped her resume her mission. She's determined to complete her mission and will get hostile if she feels threatened. 

Voice Example: Low-Medium female voice; similar to her original voice but more in range

BIO:
Pichu is an electric type Pokemon, who travels in the Subspace Zone with a Bounty Hunter named Samus Aran, after finding her awakened from her ship crash. Upon meeting her, he stood by her side and was surprised that she understood his language. The two travel to the Subspace Zone to complete Samus’ mission. Although he’s not the strongest Pokemon, he still has a fiery will to help his friend.

BIO:
Shulk is a bounty hunter that roams in the Subspace Zone and is the only member of a group called “Subspace Killers of the 3rd” (SK 3rd for short). His unique ability to see into the future allowed him to survive in the Subspace Zone by himself. However, there used to be members in SK 3rd, but each of them didn’t make it. He seems to hold his opinions on how the Melee Forces and the Smash Borders work but has also tried helping those who were cast aside from the borders. His only rule… he can only kill Subspace. Aside from that, he respects the boundaries of other friends and tends to feel like he’s not doing enough to help people.

BIO:
Lucas is a kid who rests in a mansion, the current hideout for the SK 3rd. Not much is known from Lucas, according to Shulk. Lucas holds a lot inside and seems to be hesitant about the idea of fighting. As he’s not much of a fighter, he still tries to help Shulk as he helped him when he was alone in the Subspace Zone. For a kid his age, he seems to have some sort of power resting inside of him that he doesn’t want to show. Especially his past...

BIO:
Link is a member of the Melee Forces and was one of the original members of the Elite Smashers. Link was just only a champion in Hyrule and was just protecting Princess Zelda, another member of the Melee Forces. He took a stand with Mario against the Subspace and put everything he got up during the war. During the 64 Era-Brawl Era, Link was the talkative type, his most favorite topic would be about the wild. However, all that playfulness he had was wiped away after he lost many of his friends in the war, failing Hyrule in the process. Now he’s a man with a few words. After the group disbanded, he joined the Melee Forces. Only a few soldiers can understand Link through his grunts and crouches, but that’s his only way of speaking.

BIO:
Fox was one of the original members of the Elite Smashers during the 64 Era-Brawl Era. Before joining the Elite Smashers, he was a leader of a space army known as Star Fox, traveling into space to stay away from danger. However, it didn’t last long and Fox lost 2 of his teammates except for one, Falco. When the Subspace war happened and Mario stood up against the Subspace, Fox joined forces while Falco joined the Melee Forces. He died in the Brawl Era after getting mind-controlled by Mewtwo. When he was alive, he was known to be intelligent and cunning, who often bickered with Link when they had “hunting for foxes” as a topic.

BIO:
Kirby was one of the original members of the Elite Smashers during the 64 Era-Brawl Era. He was one of the first members to join the Elites but was also considered to be the weakest. Despite that, he was later known to be a savior in the World of Light as legends were told that he sacrificed himself to save the world from the Subspace War from the Subspace Brawlers. He was still able to pack a punch and use his copy abilities to his advantage. When he was still alive, he was known to be a cheerful, adorable guy with determination deep inside him.

BIO:
Ms. General is a high chief of a mysterious group known as "Rebellion X." Not much is known of the identity of this general. All that is known is that she lives within the Subspace Zone and has rebuilt the army of Subspace Robots that were own created by Mewtwo during the 2nd Act of the Subspace. She is a woman that has caught the interest of Joker in his journey to hunt down this mysterious woman.

BIO:

Athena is a newcomer in the World of Light. She is a newbie and is the adopted daughter of Ivysaur, a friend of Villager's. After the Ridley and the Arena Ferox club incident, she was left in the care of Villager. Although, she is fine with being around her adopted father, she despite talking to the other fighters and would give attitude to them when she clearly doesn't like someone. She does this, especially towards the members of the Champions of the 4th and Villager. She hates fighting the most but seems to know a thing or two about it, despite her limitations with her ink. Also much mentioned that she has a deep fear of water as that is one of the things that can potentially kill her.

Voice Sample: I don't have a specific voice for her but I do want it to sound a child around the age of 10-12, so a medium range voice

  • "(Annoyed) Fighting in a tournament like this brings more stress, complications, and frustrations! Besides, there's nothing fun about it."

BIO:

Bowser was the King of Koopalings and was once a member of the Subspace Brawlers, a group of fighters that wishes to suppress the world in Subspace. 3 years after the Subspace War, Bowser was put into prison and would stay in there for the next 7 years for what he did before the war happened. However, he eventually escapes when a member of the Subspace Brawlers breaks him out. Although he was a member of the group, he sees his group in a whole different way as they're the reason why a certain princess that he cared for is dead. In fact, his view on the world and himself has changed since the war, having more empathy for humans and subspace alike.

BIO:

Joker, also goes by Ren Amamiya, is a fighter that roams in the shadows of the World of Light. He travels around with a Shadow named Arséne, whom he refers to as his Persona. Although he has no invitation, he manages to sneak inside of the borders and remain there, watching what goes down in borders and the Melee Forces. He wasn't always like that however as he used to be an entirely different kind of person in the Subspace Zone. Joker has two different personas: a serious smooth talking thief and an average quirky high school student. He tends to talk to himself and analyze things as it is a force of habit for him. Arséne is in the mind of his user, Joker, and he despite it anytime he misuses his power and time for something as low as flirting with female fighters.

  • "After 7 years of Bowser's imprisonment, I never thought the Subspace Brawlers would ever do something like this."

  • "(Flirting) I wouldn't mind seeing a cutie like you play out there (chuckles)."

  • "(thinking to himself) Hmm… alright… The Ice Climbers are coming down at 20 meters launch rate with at least 65% of damage on them. Using my knife, I can launch them up to 15 meters in the air and 5 meters on the ground, which can allow me to hit them in the air and earn myself a point. (Evil chuckles) Yes! This is perfect!"

BIO:

A shadow, known as a Persona, that is living inside of Joker, a fugitive in the World of Light. Arséne doesn't appreciate it whenever Joker misuses his powers for something as low as flirting with female fighters. Arséne is meant to give Joker a boost in strength and power, able to easily damage fighters. He is one of the reasons why people believe Meta Knight should steal Joker's abilities away. Whenever Arséne is summoned and his powers are used, Joker has a hard time to contain himself, allowing for Arséne to take the lead during the fight, which is why Joker uses him for emergencies. Joker is the only one that can speak and see him, so there's no escaping a conversation between the two.

BIO:

Mega Man is a veteran fighter that is the current Border Crosser after an incident occurred in the borders. Before the sudden change, he was a nurse assistant for fighters that was created by Professor Peach during the Melee Era. During the war, he would help Dr. Mario assist the fighters that were injured from the battle but not all could be saved. With a lack of any sort of emotions, he does what his purpose is told to do. Sometimes, he scans a fighter just to know if they're safe to associate with.


Voice Sample: Robotic (Don't mind if it sounds young or old, of course not old man old); I will take whatever spin you have of the character.

  • "Not to worry. I was a trained nurse before my purpose was changed. You'll be alright."

Voice Preference: High-medium

Isabelle is a newcomer in the World Of Light as she was accepted to enter the Smash Borders. Her first debut job was to assign fighters into their rooms in Tomodachi Life Suite. Although, she is quite clumsy at her job, she does her best to do great and strives to become a Smasher one day, even though her purpose is to just be a Hotel Porter. She's very nice and tends to be too nice to fighters, even when they're mean. She was then assigned a task by one of the Champions of The 4th, Palutena, who order her to branch a new Elite Group to defend the World of Light.

  • "(Cheerful) Hello! Welcome to Tomodachi Life Suite! My name is Isabelle and I'll be your hotel porter."

  • "(Rambling) I couldn't believe that the Champions would pick me. I thought I was dreaming really! I just… (Excited) Ahh! I really look forward to smash! (Nervous) You know, the fighting kind not the… weird kind, hehe."

  • "(Slight fear in her voice) No! I'm going to stand up against you! I'm not leaving until you leave this man alone!"

Villager is a veteran fighter in the World of Light, who tends to go into illegal matches in Arena Ferox and help Isabelle with her job as he used to manage a whole island with her. He cares deeply for Isabelle and would go into psycho mode if any harm were to come to her. He has a funny charming side to him and is actual a nice guy if you don't push his buttons. He can tell if someone is lying to themselves or if they're pretending to be happy, and when he knows, he has a way to bring that out of them. 

  • "I sucked at first but I kept trying, training myself endlessly until I knew what my fighting style was like. And because of that, I lived my dream and became known as The Villager."

  • "You said quite enough in the letter you sent me. (Dramatic) But to think you would lie to your old chum like this. Hmph! How rude of you."

  • "Who am I? (Creepy laugh) Hahahahahahaha! (Sinister) You're about to find out."

Vocal Tone Example: Similar to Original

Mario is a Veteran fighter in the World of Light and was the leader of the Elite Smashers back in the early days. Mario was one of the first people to stay up against the Subspace and a branch a group filled with skilled fighters throughout the world. After they defended the World of Light, they became an icon and the Champions of the 4th honor them with great strength and power. However, after the Subspace War, the group disbanded. Mario was one of the only survivors from his group and had retired into an ordinary citizen. He tends to talk to Isabelle and give tips about fighting in smash. 

  • "(Slight fear in his tone) My name is Mario. I'm a retired Elite Smasher but I'm here to help you."

  • "(Slightly annoyed) Yes, yes. I know… (grumbles) I don't like being reminded…"

  • "Even so, you did something that no one else here did. Something that I hadn't done since… (sighs) What i'm trying to say is, you showed a trait of a true Smasher."

Vocal Tone Example: Close to the original voice

Wario is a veteran fight, who allows newcomers to enter the Smash Borders based on their smash invite. Wario also assigns each new fighter with a purpose they must serve in order to stay within the borders. He tends to crush the dreams of fighters as it makes him feel better about himself. However, he doesn't like watching small fighters getting picked on by big fighters.

  • "Listen, pup, things don't always go your way. You won't always live in the dream roster. Besides, it's for the best anyway."

  • "(Angry) The name's Wario and I have a bone to pick with fighters like you! You think you can just pick on little fighters for pride?! (scoffs) Your pride must be smaller than my monthly salary."

  • "(Laughing) Wahahahahaha!"

Ivysaur is a veteran fight, who hangs in an illegal fight club in Arena Ferox. Being good friends with Villager, the two spend their time doing illegal matches as their purpose in The World of Light was not to become a fighter. Although he doesn't fight much, he hangs around the bar with Villager.

  • "(Pumped) I was wondering when you were gonna show up. You missed the fight between Ike and Cloud!"

  • "Same here but that didn't stop me from tryin'. Sure it's an illegal fight club but it's better than nothin'."

  • "(Cringes) Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark."

Vocal Tone Example: Raspy royal-ish voice


King K. Rool is a newcomer that is a part of the illegal fight club in Arena Ferox. Although he is known to be evil based on his records of being a member of a dark organization, he was able to stay within the Smash Borders as long as he remained good. However, his purpose in the World of Light was restricted to being a normal citizen. Despite this, he desires gold and riches as well, which is why he enters the illegal fight club to obtain all the gold he wants. He treats other fighters poorly and puts them down in their place.

  • "Excuse me?! Do you know who I am?! I am King K. Rool and you're just another low-tier!"

  • "(Hysterical laugh) Hahahahaha! You're on pipsqueak."

  • "(Dramatic) They were offering gold to the winners! I had to do it! The Boss doesn't pay me so I needed this! Plus, it's gold! Gold I tell you!"

Ridley is a newcomer that fights in an illegal club at Arena Ferox. He is known to be a vicious fighter in the club but if he loses a fight, especially to a low-tier, he would do anything to make that winner suffer. There's also been stories that he killed Samus's parents, which is why he's seen as vicious. He also made a deal with a certain fighter in exchange of money. 

  • "(Laughs) Hahaha! You're as weak as I thought you would be."

  • "You know the deal, don't you? The agreement conditions. If you don't give me what I want, I'll just have to take what's valuable."

  • "(Mockingly) You and your "justice". (Growls) That attitude is the reason why your old group perished at the Subspace War and now look at you! Your group nearly lost all its men and you still want a beating?"

Vocal Tone Example: Heroic and bold, deep voice


Captain Falcon is a veteran fighter and was one of the original Elite Smashers back in the old days. Previously known as “Falcon”, he was known to be a man who can pack one of the most powerful punches in the World of Light. He volunteered to join Mario’s cause during the Subspace War. He is also known to be energetic and positive, even when things don’t look too good. He tries his best to lift everyone’s spirits. After the Subspace War and the group disbanded, Falcon too over another a group known as “The Melee Forces”, a group of portrolers in the Smash Borders, thus earning the title as “Captain Falcon”.

Falco is a veteran fighter and is a part of the Melee Forces. Falco used to be a part of a Space Army known as Star Fox. While the war was beginning, their group fell into demise, forcing Fox and Falco to join the cause of the Subspace War. After his old captain died, Falco remained a member of the Melee Forces. He now keeps a sharp eye on wanted criminals and anyone that tries to go over or enters the Smash Borders.

Sheik is a veteran fighter, also known as Princess Zelda, and is a part of the Melee Forces. She started off as just an ordinary princess that was heavily guarded by a champion name Link. The two used to bicker at each other before they decided to join the Subspace War. Zelda used her power to set a barrier when the Subspace was getting out of hand. Although she failed to protect everyone, she survived the blast but ended up losing her memory. Another part of her, Sheik, remembers the events of the Subspace War well but can only be activated when Zelda is unconscious. Sheik mostly does the fighting and is more active in the Melee Forces than Zelda is.

She is the leader of four major elites known as the Champions of the 4th. She grants the ability of knowledge, having a database for every fighter in the World of Light. A few years after the Elite Smashers disbanded, she assigned a newcomer, Isabelle, to branch a new group of fighters to protect them from the Subspace Brawlers.

Robin is a veteran fighter and is one of the Champions of the 4th. He is known to a smart tactician and was selected to help the efforts of the Subspace War. His unique skill of creating spells allowed him to become a Champion. He himself, however, feels like he was a failure as the Subspace War ended with many fighters dying and cause a friend of his to join the dark side. He grants the ability to use recovery, such as healing. He also tends to speak to himself as if he is speaking to another person. However, he only seen to be talking to himself.

Meta Knight is a veteran fighter and is one of the Champions of the 4th. He is a late member of the group as he joined after the Subspace War. Not many people know much about Meta Knight but legends were told that he was a man with great power. He granted the ability to steal or, as some people may call it, nerf fighters. While some people think he’s a jerk for that, he does it to keep things in balance. Meta Knight is a loner and talks formal to others, not ever wishing to make a conversation with anyone. Although he has a childish nature deep down. He despites any form of foolishness, especially with Bayonetta.

Some people don’t trust the guy still but Ganon’s evil personality was put aside thanks to the Goddess of Light, Palutena. He still acts intimidating to other people.

Bayonetta is a veteran fighter and is one of the Champions of the 4th. She is known to be power witch, who was seen to be an unbalanced fighter. After Meta Knight stole some of her power, she was left to be an average fighter. Knowing this fact, she continued to fight and ended up becoming a Champion. She enjoys teasing younger men and has her own way of getting what she wants. She also has her own way of showing that she cares. She grants the ability to counter attacks.

  • "(Sarcastic) Oh goodie. The good for nothing plumber is here. How… (pauses) fantastic."
