Project Overview
Sparkling Popstars! is a gacha idol mini-movie with a bit of romance. In this story, we follow Stephany, also known as Taffy, who dreams of being a pop star ever since young. She knows that obstacles will come ahead, but she is very certain she can surpass them.

Stephany is a 16-year-old pop star who is determined to be the best. She has a very bubbly and charismatic personality. She compares herself to her rivals a lot, causing her to make bad performances. This role does include screaming. Her voice range is medium-high.
(Crying) No, no, no! Please, I don’t have anything anymore! Don’t leave me...
(Nervous, talking to herself) I-I can do it. The others can do this, so there is... no doubt I can, right?
(Happy) Thank you for coming to my first concert! It means so much that all of you are watching and enjoying my show!
Lilian is the most popular and favored pop star of all time, despite being just 19 years of age. When Stephany climbed the ranks, she felt intimidated and did her best to rank her down, since Stephany has an identical personality as her. Even though they’re similar, Lilian just fakes her personality. Her voice range is medium-high or high.
(Happy) Aw, you guys. Thank you so much for supporting me. Don’t forget to check out my merch shop at the exit! Love you all~
(Fake happy) Hey, Taffy, right? It would be great if you would join me for my concert next week. The people would go crazy if they saw you. *laughs*
(Evil) That was way too easy. What a gullible girl.
Miles is Stephany’s manager. He’s 20-year-old and is kinder than most people. He stayed with Stephany until a new pop star was assigned to him. His range is medium.
(Kind) Hello Stephany, or rather, Taffy. I can’t wait to work with you.
(Assuring) Don’t worry, we’ll go through it together. I’ll stick with you, okay?
(Sad) Stephany, I’m sorry… I’ll have to leave you here.
Joseph is Stephany's 17-year-old best friend. He dropped out of high school and works in a lot of jobs for the fun of it. He also streams every day and is a well-known streamer.
(Arrogant) Well, I AM a pretty successful streamer. I can probably help you earn 10,000 fans or something.
(Laughing, happy) HAHAHA! You- you suck at gaming Steph- Taffy!
(Serious) Stay strong. Call me when you need, alright?
Carolyn is a 24-year-old who is rather seductive by force. This earned her the second best pop star until Stephany took it from her. Her fanbase is extremely toxic, and she hates it. She hates being an idol but does it to support herself. Her voice range is medium-low (more medium).
(Flirty) Hello, everyone. Great to see all of you. *giggles*
(Uncomfortable and irritated) I need to keep wearing these types of clothes because my identity was revealed. I’m severely disappointed with my fans…
(Happy) Thanks Taffy. I’ll do my best from now on!
Lydia is the more mature and calm 23-year-old pop star. She ranks as the third best pop star, but fell to fourth when Stephany debuted. She’s patient, composed, and caring. One of the biggest reasons she became popular was her gentle heart. Her voice range is medium.
(Calm, kind) Taffy, right? Congratulations on being the second best pop star. I look forward to seeing you more.
(Flustered) I don’t see anything strange about wearing skirts often though?
(Happy, calm) I’m seeing a lot of familiar faces every concert I do. It’s like seeing a family member again, it really makes me glad.
Amelia is a 17-year-old pop star who ranks as the fifth best pop star but fell to the sixth when Stephany debuted. Onstage, she will be seen as an elegant person, but offstage, she enjoys morning walks, exercises, and more physical activities. She is close friends with Rose and would visit the gym with her regularly. Her voice range is medium or medium-high.
(Calm) Now, are all of you ready for my performance?
(Rather annoyed) Rose, haha, what a funny joke. I know we hung out, but we never went to a gym before.
(Shocked) I’m out of the top 5?! There’s no way…
Rose is a 22-year-old pop star who has a fiery and bold personality. She’s the fourth best pop star but fell to fifth when Stephany debuted. She’s a very tough woman, but softens to people she cares about, like Amelia. She and Amelia bond by going to the gym every so often. Her voice range is medium-low (more on the medium side).
(Pumped up, loud) I’m not feeling enough energy! Come on! Raise your hands, dance to the beat, go as wild as you can!
(Teasing) Man Periwinkle, you act so different compared to when you’re in the gym with me.
(Singing to herself quietly, make up any tune you want) Falling down the ranks from fourth to fifth. That’s great.
Stephany when she was younger. Around the age of 7 to 10. Her voice range is medium-high or high.
(Excited) Mom! I want to be an idol! I want to see people smile, I want to sing, I want to-
(Muttering) Hm… Should I be Crystal… or maybe Bubblegum?
Eva is Stephany’s mother and is caring and warm-hearted. Her age is 38 and would always encourage Stephany in what she does. Later in the story, she goes away for a long business trip. Her voice range is medium or medium-low
(Encouraging) Of course! Do anything that makes you happy dear.
(Hurried) Hey dear. I need to go away for a while. I’m not sure when I’ll come back. Maybe in a year? Well then, I have to go, love you!
Madison was Stephany’s best friend until she dropped out. Madison always told her that being an idol is pretty unrealistic and she should go focus on a more realistic job. Although she is a minor role, she becomes a really important aspect to the story later on. Her voice range is medium.
(Annoyed) Stephany… How many times do I have to tell you that’s not going to turn out well? How about being a nurse or a teacher?
(Concerned and angry) Stephany! I hear you dropped out, what happened to you?! Only an idiot drops out of school!
(Smug) Oh, Stephany. Didn’t know you were here.
(Shouting) WOO! GO TAFFY!
(Disgusted) Hey, what is a loser like you doing here?
(Sad) I’m sorry but… you can’t force yourself to do anything else, okay?
I’ll need singers for the songs the girls sing. You can still audition if you’re not female, I’ll probably need some backing vocals too.
I’d suggest singing upbeat pop songs if it’s medium, medium- high or high, and more rock or slow type of songs for medium, medium-low.
This role will technically just draw or edit the characters according to what I want. It will be included in either the thumbnail or the video itself. If you get casted for this role, I expect you to finish your artwork in a week and 3 days.
