Space Economy Video Game
Project Overview
[Not Named Yet] is a space strategy game about building a life and a fortune out among the stars. You start with a small ship, a handful of credits, and a galaxy you haven’t explored yet. From there, it’s up to you how you make your way.
You can trade between stations, haul cargo, take contracts, discover new systems, build a fleet, hunt pirates, or become a pirate yourself. Every match is a little different depending on where you go, what ships you build, and how the other captains around you play. The goal is simple: make your fortune and retire before everyone else does.
I’m looking for voice actors to play the First Mates who accompany the player throughout a match. They react to what the player is actually doing like discovering a new system, finding cargo floating in space, getting into a fight, losing a ship, making a good trade, or occasionally just filling the silence on a long trip.
There are several different First Mate personalities, including a Naval Officer, Explorer, Trader, Mercenary, Pirate, Engineer, and Rogue/Smuggler (Subject to change). Each has their own way of looking at the galaxy, so I’m looking for performances that actually give them some character rather than just reading off game notifications.
It’s a pretty big set of lines, but most of them are short interactions and reactions. The idea is that after playing for a while, your First Mate starts to feel like someone who’s actually been along for the ride.
I’m also looking for 3D artists to help build out the ships, stations, props, and other pieces that make up Fortuna Astra’s galaxy. The style is grounded sci-fi with a little space-western character—I want ships that feel functional, lived-in, and recognizable at a glance rather than overly clean or generic. A lot of the game is viewed from an isometric or top-down perspective, so strong silhouettes and readable designs are especially important.
I have a very pre-alpha build already made as well as a prototype you can currently play online.
I have 14 archetypes in total. The first-mate is going to be giving callouts to the captain (player) when events happen. If you are interested I will be giving you the list so you can see what archetypes are available.
Good morning captain!
All hands on deck sir!
Ready to pillage captain!
Looking for 3D artist who are comfortable with building planets, sci-fi ships, and space stations. The ships would be lightly animated but not heavily. Detail is not crazy heavy, the game is isometric 3D so the assets are a little smaller.
