Sonic Zoom: The Ancients' Challenge

Sonic the hedgehog is the blue blur in his early 20s you know and love, except in this project he is just grieving his father's death, so he is more somber and at times a bit mad. He takes on the Ancients' Challenge to win so he can bring his father back.

Dimitri Weber is the race organizer. He is partly roboticized due to an attack from one of Eggman's robots. He decides to send a transmission to Mobians all over the planet to participate in the challenge, with the winning racer earning lots of rings and even the “Gateway Key” where you use this key on your car to open a portal so you can drive to the ancients to ask them for whatever you desire (within reason). He does not like it when his rules are broken at first, but then becomes more flexible if they help him achieve his goal.

VOICE REFERENCE: Michael Donovan (Dr. Peter Tezla in Hot Wheels World Race and Hot Wheels: Acceleracers)

Scourge the hdgehog is Sonic's twin brother who likes to live his life on the edge. He's competitive, cocky, and short tempered, yet also has a kind and caring side towards his family. He and his wife Fiona aren’t all interested in the gateway key, but instead want to win the ring prize so they can be set for the future, since they are in debt. He loves racing against Sonic in anything, no matter if he wins or loses, though he doesn't like to lose. While Sonic was the spitting image of their father, Scourge was more so the “momma’s boy,” being closer to Bernadette than Jules. This doesn't mean he doesn't miss his dad as well, though.

He does not have the phantom ruby in his chest anymore, and doesn't wear his signature mask, so no voicemod is needed for him.

Jet the Hawk is a skilled racer, but only on his extreme gear. Jet is extremely arrogant, confident, conceited and holds high standards. He boasts a massive ego, considering himself the fastest, and holds everyone else in low regard, often insulting their abilities while bragging about his own. While he is willing to praise those who impress him, he usually does so in the form of a backhanded compliment. He does not take kindly to anyone who is faster or more confident than him. Jet is usually very rude and disrespectful and has a snide sense of humor. He enjoys insulting others and rubbing his victory or other's losses in their faces. He doesn't want to look bad, though, being protective of his reputation. He joins the challenge for the money, just like Rouge.
