Sonic the Hedgehog: Mobius 25 Years Later (166 and 167)
Project Overview
Hello, fellow voice actors! I am currently interested in casting roles for a Sonic Archie comic voice over and need your help. I will be casting first for issues 166 and 167, also titled "Mobius 25 Years Later". There is potential to cast other, future characters if the comic dub is fairly successful on Youtube when it is released. I would like to possibly do 35 years later if all goes well!
(I am unfortunately going to be self-casting as Lara-Su, since I have played her before: check out SPD64's 35 Years later project where I did have the pleasure of voicing her! :)
Here are the additional characters I will need to cast:
Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles 'Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sally Acorn, Lien-Da, Rotor the Walrus, and Dimitri.
Overall, a pretty small cast for now! Certain characters, especially Tails, will need to sound older than normal since years have gone by in this issue of the series, so keep that in mind when auditioning!
As for microphone quality, as long as it is fairly clear, that will work (I may also do a bit of editing to the audio to tweak sound levels etc.)
I have not yet set a deadline, so please audition, as I may choose quickly depending on how many auditions come in! Once I have cast the voices I am looking for, they can reference the comic scans online in order to record and submit them to me!

Sonic the Hedgehog in this issue of the comics has been basically forgotten by all of Mobius, and has seen his own children cease to exist as well as his lover, Queen Sally, being married to King Shadow. He starts off broken and worn down, but finds new confidence once he is able to face off against King Shadow later in issue 167 and regain his beloved queen back.
(Tired and burnt out, but still sarcastic) "I'll admit it, kiddo; I ask myself that a lot lately
(Broken down and Hopeless) "Not Sonia and Manik, though... They're gone forever. And Sally is married to Shadow... WHY?"
(A bit cocky and ready to fight) "Now that Sally's safe; battle royal time!"
Tails is one of Sonic's closest friends and is helping him to get back to his feet along with Lara-Su in order to take down King Shadow.
(Grim and concerned) "This isn't right."
(Relieved and a tad annoyed) "There you are! You couldn't make it easier for us?"
(A bit humorous, but glad) "Wait... you planned this all along?"
Knuckles is Lara-Su's father and also fakes Sonic's arrest, only to set him free at the beginning of issue 167. He is a stern, but concerned father towards Lara-Su.
(Proud and complimenting his daughter's achievement) "You're doing great, Lara-Su. I wasn't nearly this good at your age."
(Stern at first, but more fatherly toward the "Please") "Go wash up. I'll meet you back home. NOW Lara-Su... please."
(Genuinely scared and worried, but glad to see Lara-Su is alright, and hinting at pride) "Lara-Su! Are you alright? You're mother is going to flip! but, she will be so proud, you've been amazing!"
Shadow the Hedgehog is portrayed as the villain in this issue of the comics. He overtook the thrown and Queen Sally as his wife. Shadow needs to have a deeper, more brooding voice.
(Brooding and threatening) "You will break and tell everything. It's a matter of time."
(Gruff sounding and physical) "I am the ultimate lifeform. I never age!"
(Attack call followed by a sound of defeat) "CHAOS SPEAR! Ngh!? AARGH!"
Queen Sally is a small role presented towards the end of 167. She is ultimately saved by Sonic and the two reunite by the end, presumably talking about rewriting their future and even starting a family.
(Concerned and a bit surprised) "You know about the other timeline?"
(A sheepish, light and flustered sounding tone) "Hello, Sonic."
(Guilt and feeling of loosing one's self) "I married Shadow to bring stability to Mobius. I hoped I could tame him somewhat. I... never loved..."
Lien-Da is a villain character working under king Shadow. She needs to have a deeper, fem fatale sounding voice.
(Devious and almost seductive tone) "Don't thank me, King Shadow."
(Lighthearted, but with an underlying evil tone) "It looks like little Lara-Su is running around with the wrong crowd."
(Affirming and responding to authority) "Of course, Sire."
Dimitri appears briefly in 167 (He only has a few lines). He is a cyborg Echidna and is a member of Knuckle's family. If you wish to add a robotic effect to your audition, feel free!
(Disappointed in Lien-Da and her route of lifestyle) "You are despicable, Lien-Da! I have not been this ashamed of my bloodline since I worked with Dr. Finitevus."
Rotor has been kept as Shadow's prisoner. He's in ruff shape, but is promptly rescued by Knuckles along with Sonic and the others.
(Fake coughing, as if implied that this character is ill and has been kept locked up for some time.)
(Exhausted, but with a hint of annoyance) "How can you act like that in a time like this?"
(Quoting to Lara-Su, weak but impressed by her ability) "You have your father's strength."
