Sonic Revenant takes place two years after Sonic Forces (Frontiers happened it's just barely mentioned due to this project being written pre-Frontiers but some changes will be made to cater to it.) Sonic and friends have been apart for a while but come together when Phantom Ruby replicas start popping up, leading to the resurrection of a mysterious foe that Sonic and his friends have no memory of. The adventure splits into two time periods as Tails and Eggman try to escape the dark future while Sonic and Team 06 try to change it. Sonic Revenant is planned for 13 episodes.
