Zero Escape Dilemma Real Time Fandub

Zero Escape Dilemma Real Time Fandub

Project Overview

Ahoy everyone! I am Captain Antpez, I am a Vtuber on Twitch, and this is my second casting call for the third installment of Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma. I have been streaming for about 5 years now and had started on the Zero Escape series in my 3rd year of streaming where I had gathered some friends to help voice the characters and adlib some lines. I had decided to step it up a notch by doing my first casting call on the second game which we had finished up about 6 months ago! When I did that, it was honestly a blast and a great experience for both streamers who had never voiced actors before and voice actors who had never streamed before. This was essentially my way of bringing two worlds that I love together. And now I’m looking to start that again with a little bit more experience under the belt!

With introductions out of the way, let’s get into what it is I’m looking for and what is to be expected.

  1. Yes, this will technically be a fan dub of the game but will be done LIVE over on my Twitch channel, the VODs themselves will be edited and posted on Youtube. There is a catch though that separates this game from the previous two. The previous two games were full Visual Novel games. This is still a visual novel game, however, the cutscenes have all been rendered and are more like a movie. Which makes dubbing a little bit harder when it’s live therefore on to the second thing

  2. Improvisation, due to the nature of the game, I’m going to have no control over the pacing of the game because the cutscenes are all movie-like. I will have the subtitles going to help a little bit with clarity; but the subtitles don’t say who is speaking. So, in essence, this will be a lot like Snapcube’s Real Time Fandubs.

    1. Those who will be shortlisted will go into a second round of auditions that will involve more improv to see your skills as well your synergies with others.

  3. This will be a bi-weekly thing hosted on discord, so you must have a discord to be able to participate. At this time, we are looking to have streams on Sunday at 2pm PST to 3:30 PM PST (1.5 hour every two weeks)

    1. Please provide your discord handle with your audition if applying thru CCC

  4. Knowledge of the game is not mandatory, however with how this will play out, wouldn’t hurt to have it. But this won’t DQ you if you know nothing of the series as some of the returning actors have never played the game as well.

  5. Must be 18+, this is non-negotiable. The game itself is rated M and my streams are also 18+

  6. Mic quality doesn’t matter, we are looking at your ability to act and improvise

  7. When the deadline has passed, that will be it. Any auditions turned in past the deadline will not be considered.

Now to some questions you might have

Q: Do I have to attend every stream?

A: No, since this is an unpaid project, I do not expect you to be in every single stream, but I would prefer it if you could make it too as many as you can.

Q: How long will this project be for?

A: So honestly the first two games took roughly 1.5 years to complete. However, since I will have no control of the pacing for this game. I would estimate this will be a 6-8 month project. It could potentially be longer though.

Q: Do I have to be a streamer?

A: Absolutely not, that was actually what made the second game a lot more fun was the fact that half the cast weren’t streamers and the other half were. It was a lovely blend of both worlds and opened up doors on both sides.

Q: Are you looking for voice matches?

A: Nope, I want to hear your take so go wild.

Q: How 18+ is this game? Are there limits to what can be improvised?

A: I mean, not necessarily, the game itself has had some dark moments that had turned into dark humor. If anything, just don’t go overboard and make people uncomfortable.

Q: Do you offer feedback on auditions?
A:
If you wish for feedback and say so in your audition, I am more than happy to provide it. Granted I’m not a professional myself, but I’m always willing to help out when asked.

Q: How long will casting choice take past the deadline?

A: Hopefully not any longer than a week or two. I will be having the returning cast help go over the auditions to make decisions. Once we have made our choices, we will reach out to those who have been shortlisted for round two.

Q: Where are (insert character here)
A:
Characters like Junpei, Akane, Sigma, Phi, and Zero are all from the previous games in the series and will be reprised by their previous actors. Diana, though not a returning character, is based on Luna in Virtue’s Last Reward, so it only seemed fitting to have their actor return to play as Diana.

Q: Can I still participate even if I don’t get a role?
A:
You may! As this is going to be an unpaid project, there might be some sessions that an actor will be unavailable, on those days we will have a backup fill in for that session to be able to keep pacing going. You would need to be in the discord though in order to participate as a backup.

Q: I don’t know anything about the game but am interested, could I look up more about the character?

A: Absolutely! In fact, I will include links to the characters wiki’s if you wish to look more into the character!

Q: Can I audition for more than one character?

A: Absolutely, though you will only be cast for one role if selected

Deadline for this casting call will be March 29th, 2026

  • Clarification on Shortlist

    Hi Yall!

So, I have had a couple messages reaching out to me about shortlisting. That I wanted to clarify really quick.

So initially, we had a list of candidates that were shortlisted that stood out immediately to me or another team member. From there, we had to shorten that shortlist even further which got us down to a top 4-6 candidates for most roles. Those that were at our top is who was reached out to proceed on to the second round of auditions.

So, if you were shortlisted initially and didn't receive a friend request from me thru discord, that unfortunately means that your audition didn't make it to the next round. Sorry :(

I had gone head and sorted out the shortlist here on CCC to reflect those that were reached out in Discord.

Again, there were a lot of talent in this round of auditions and became difficult to choose. It mostly came down to smaller details when deciding.

I would like to add though, that once the second round is finished and casting has been chosen, I will be opening up my server for anyone who would like to join in as a backup.

  • DM's sent!

Alright, sorry for the delay, we have sent request thru discord to those that will be proceeding to the second round of auditions.

Most have replied now and there are a couple that were sent over the weekend.

Be sure to check your discords for a request from captainantpez

  • First weekend of reviews finished

Hi everyone! Thank you for your patience! We have reviewed a majority of the auditions and waiting to get thoughts from a couple people. In the meantime, I will be reaching out to those that are currently at the top of our list so please keep an eye out for a friend request from CaptainAntpez on Discord.

I will be reaching out to do a survey/interview to further know you a little bit more.

I must say, there were a lot of strong contenders for sure and was very difficult on coming down to our top picks. Yall should be very proud of your work!

  • Deadline has passed!

Alright folks! Deadline has officially passed!

Thank you all again for auditioning, now that the deadline has passed, the team and I will be reviewing all the auditions and discussing this coming weekend. Hopefully we will have are shortlist ready by then.

What are the next steps now?

So currently the next steps is

    1. Review auditions (obviously)

    2. Team discusses those to shortlist

    3. Review shortlisted

    4. Second interview/offer role

If there is a role that we can't fully decide on, we will do a second audition for those that were shortlisted that will involve more improv to see your team syrangy. Hopefully by next week I will be reaching out to those for their second interviews so be sure to keep an eye out for a friend request from me (CaptainAntpez)

Thank you all again for auditioning! I'm blown away by the interest level this has brought!

  • 100+ Auditions?!

Holy Moley! Thank yall to have auditioned! I honestly wasn't expecting to hit the big 100. This weekend is the last weekend for anyone else who hasn't turned in their audition, be sure to do so before the weekend is over.

Once deadline has passed, we will not be accepting any new auditions and will be reviewing everyone's auditions. If you had asked for feedback this week and I haven't gotten to it yet, I apologize, this week has been a bit hectic. I will try to provide feedback to those who have requested for it.

  • I made a promise in another history that I'd definitely save you two...

  • I was thinking about you, Akane. You're uh, well, to be blunt, really hot.

  • You heard me. Shoot me. Don't worry... I won't die. Even if this body is destoryed, my conscience will be---

Eric is a member of Team Q along with Q and Mira. He works as a clerk at an ice cream shop in Nebraska and is truly passionate when it comes to ice cream. He is also Mira’s boyfriend. Eric comes off as mostly bumbling, incompetent, pitiful, and hapless. He doesn’t really have much self- confidence or high self-esteem, mostly just considering themselves a lowly ice cream shop employee. He is madly in love with Mira calling her angel or beautiful goddess and will be very protective of her as well as impress her as much as possible. He’s also very anxious and easily frightened, unable to cope with stress. And that’s what makes him dangerous to others as he becomes prone to rage and losing his composure.

  • I can definitely smile no matter what

  • SHUT UP! He was trying to make me look the fool! He probably figured I wouldn't shoot! Looks like he figured wrong! ...I won't stop. Not until you're all dead... Because one of us is the one who killed Mira.

  • Daddy...Daddy...He's the bad one...H-he said to do it... That's why I put it... In the lake... I put Chris's body in the lake... Oh no... I Must... keep smiling... Keep smiling... Keepin Smiling...

Q is an amnesic player in the decision game and is one of the three main protagonists. Based on his appearance it is believed they are a child trapped with a spherical helmet. He is part of Team Q along with Eric and Mira. Q is very polite and nervous but is seen as suspicious due to his appearance as well as his status as a stranger who is not part of the game. He is bullied constantly by Eric due to this.

  • I know to you and the others I look suspicious for a person you just met, but to me, how I am right now, everyone here is all I have. Because of that, I consider all of you very important to me! I don't want to hate anyone, I want to like you! I mean, if I don't... I'll be really sad...

  • W-wait a minute... What makes you think that was all a joke...? It was such a sad story! He just told us he's been holding in this painful past the whole time... How is that a joke?!

  • I gotta be the world's happiest kid!

Mira is Eric’s girlfriend who considers Mira as an angel and beautiful goddess. She is typically calm and level-headed during the game’s events but in reality, she is a cold-hearted serial killer who is credited with at least 18 murders. She tends to act based on logic more than emotional, brutally honest and not afraid to speak her mind. She is very intelligent and cunning. Hardly showing emotion making her appear unnaturally calm during the games.

  • If you want to transport live koi from Brazil to Japan, putting only koi fish in an aquarium will result in most of them dying. But by adding something in that same container, you won't lose a single one. A piranha.

  • Not much phases me. I'm just not that type. You could've been a Martian for all I care.

  • I want to see what a "heart" is. I think I'm the only one who doesn't know. Hey, that's where you hide it, right? I know where it is. Hurry up and show me!
