Hello there! Mont27P here casting for our upcoming fantasy Minecraft animation spin-offs set in the wonderful world of Songs of War!
I'm one of a couple animation directors who work for the YouTube channel Squared Media (Formerly Black Plasma Studios), which currently has over 11,000,000 subscribers. Most of our animations receive over a million views in the opening month.
Songs of War is a medieval fantasy animation series set in an original universe, following a few story arcs which are all interconnected. The primary focus is on mystical objects known as "Songs," which the Ardoni species can harness to wield great powers. The complete season 1 can be viewed on our YouTube here: https://youtu.be/yCNUP2NAt-A.
We are hoping these spin-offs can help revive the chance to fund an official season 2 and 3 further in the future!
We're currently looking for talented voice actors to portray many of the new and old characters in these Songs of War spin-offs. This casting is specifically for episode 1 of 3, so there will be more chances in the future.
Ideally, we'd like to find actors who are genuinely interested in the series, the characters, and our channel in general. We’re also keen to be able to reprise these roles, so the flexibility to return for future Songs of War projects is desired.
Casting ends the night of August 25th! Get your auditions in before then! Potential extensions if needed.
REQUIREMENTS
1) Experience or talent in voice acting.
2) Clean recording quality! No audible pops, static, background noise, or room echo!
3) Ability to perform serious, cinematic, and potentially emotional acting.
4) Interest in the project and characters.
5) Ability to raise voice or yell if character requires it and still retain high quality.
6) A way to get paid. Paypal or Wise preferably.
The flat rate is a per hour/session, not in total, but I am willing to pay higher or do a different way on request for certain roles, if we really connect with a certain voice. Most roles should take at most a couple hours though, some even under an hour.
These next 2 are not requirements, but are highly recommended!
1) Discord is the easiest place to communicate both in text and voice for those given a role, but as discussed below, I'm happy to work with what methods work best for those unable to use Discord.
2) For auditions, feel free to improvise extra lines for any of the roles that only have short lines. The more samples we have the better, but the minimum should be enough for most roles.
After being given a role, I will talk to you a bit more about your character in whichever way is most convenient for you, whether it is over email, direct messages, or even voice. You will be given an updated and more complete character bio as well. Finally, you will be given a condensed script which includes all of your character's lines.
Before that, I would like to hear a few small samples of the character to really ensure you have the correct voice and setup. There is also a chance that some lines will need to be re-recorded if there was a mistake or problem.
CLOSING
Thanks everyone for reading, I look forward to hearing your auditions!
