DETAILS

For those who don't know, Gotye released "Somebody That I Used To Know ft. Kimbra" on July 5, 2011 (if I'm correct). I'd like to do a cover for it as a 10-year tribute for, in my opinion, one of the most popular songs of that decade! Since none of my local female friends are capable or interested, I'm turning to this. If you get the part, we'll communicate via Discord and go from there.

REQUIREMENTS


  • You must be at least 16 years old

  • Must have a decent quality microphone with little to no background noise

  • It is recommended that the vocal range is between alto and mezzo-soprano

  • Must be able to belt notes

  • You must have a Discord account

PAYMENT

It won't be much but it will be a showing of thanks for being a part of my cover! :)

    And just like that, auditions are over! Over 20 people auditioned and I can't wait to sit down and listen to them all over again to make a final decision! Here are my final thoughts to all those who auditioned: Each of you has a unique personality and style in your voice, so don't feel down if you don't get the part. I have all your discord tags in case I might need a specific voice for any future projects. Speaking of casting, I most likely will be reviewing all auditions tonight and will cast the person sometime tomorrow, as I am wrapping up a small project that will be posted on my YouTube channel sometime today or tomorrow :) Again, thank you so much to all of you who have auditioned for my project and have been following my updates!     Hello, everyone! I just want to first say thank you so much to those who have auditioned so far! I will say that based on what I'm seeing so far, it is going to be a tough decision on who will get this part. Once the deadline is over, it will probably take me a few days to review all the auditions and select the person. Overall, everyone did a fantastic job, and you definitely should be proud!
