Project Overview


Sins of the Spider follows a young adult Peter Parker, who is fresh out of University and trying to make the world a better place - despite the city's pushback against his colourful counterpart. In a routine scuffle with an armed robber, he finds himself caught up in a world of criminal conspiracy, and left to his own devices to face Sin Eater. 

This interpretation of the characters and New York would be grounded and heavy on character development and relationships. In terms of narrative comparison, it would be written much like a Netflix Drama. The pilot in question is a three-episode arc, with each episode being of varying lengths.

 If a series were to ever follow from this, actors are more than welcome to return, though it is not necessary. If a character specifies that it is "returning," it is a common character that will more than likely appear in a possible series. Keep this in mind when auditioning, though remember that ultimately the best person for the role will be cast - regardless of availability in the future. 
  1. -For the sake of keeping a tight cast, the majority of actors/actresses may be asked to play extras from time to time.


The pilot would be animated in a low poly cell chaded 3D art-style, (picture something along the lines of a low poly version of the Ultimate Spider-Man Game) with tech reflecting late PS1 games and early PS2 games. However, it would still take advantage of modern technologies and advancements in animation. Lip sync and facial expression would be included as well as detached fingers, and animation would be less stilted. Necessary technology includes - what else - a high-quality microphone. A USB Condenser microphone with quality comparable to that of a Blue Snowball (iCE) is the minimum. All actors will record and cooperate via our Discord server. Links to that will be provided upon being cast. Each cast member will record their audio independently and share the files through discord for later manipulation/implementation into the series.
