Project Overview

Hi everyone! Thanks for taking a look at this project!

Sea Hears Project is the code name for a visual novel where players can choose which character to play as. Each character has their own unique story arch that plays alongside the main plot. Sea Hears Project is not a romance novel, but a complex and evolving project that develops as the player creates meaningful decisions.

The roles of these voice actors are not for the game itself, but for advertising videos to push these characters into the limelight and help drive up interest. This project itself is supported by a very small community, so most payments are made through a personal account from someone with a big dream. Sea Hears Project is simply a work of love, but with solid support perhaps it can achieve more.

    Hi everyone, Thank you so much for your incredible auditions! It's been amazing to listen to the auditions so far, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by talent. Annabel is an 11 year old girl who is enrolled in Taru International Academy for Magi. She is a playable character in the Sea Hears visual novel.

Annabel knew there was no choice but to attend the academy. Not only was she a Magi but as her parents would discuss in hushed whispers, Annabel was too vulnerable and had too much potential to lose control over her powers. Annabel must choose how to deal with the trauma of her past, while keeping the truth close away from suspicious students. After all, her parents used the word vulnerable right? And if Annabel was vulnerable... What would that mean for the students?

While it is preferable that Annabel's accent is Cantonese, it is not required and all accents are welcome to audition. This project is aiming at making an advertisement video introducing Annabel as a character in a visual novel game code named 'Sea Hears Project'. Annabel's voice should sound genuine and a little tom-boyish. We may be looking to secure a close relation with a successful voice actor if the video draws enough attention.

Jan Li provides a minor role as an 'expert in Cantari politics'. Her voice appears on the Annabel Character Video Intro which is made to advertise Annabel as a playable character in the game. Her voice will also appear in the visual novel. Jan Li may have a Chinese accent, but it is not necessary. Please feel free to audition with accents that are natural and comfortable for you. 

We may be looking to secure a close relation with a successful voice actor if the video draws enough attention.

The Annabel Character Intro Video seeks to advertise Annabel as a playable character in a visual novel. These voices occur at the beginning of the video to build up atmosphere and hint at Annabel's character arch. There is no particular gender requirement for voices. It may be that a voice actor could be hired for more than one voice, and therefore would receive multiple payments per voice. It is ideal that each voice sounds very distinct from each other, to create a disjointed, uncomfortable feeling for the viewer.

Please note the payment would be $2.50 per line. (Maximum 5 words per line)

There are three minor roles that have three minor lines each.

These voices are for a Youtube video to advertise Annabel as a playable character in a visual novel. The advertisement will hint at Annabel's traumatic story arch.

The payment for each role is $3.50. It may be possible to hire the same actor for more than one role. If so, they would receive the payment per role.
