Sage Cycle

Project Overview

Sage Cycle is a family friendly animated Sci-fi film series that follows two generations in each film. Blending Pacifica futurism, cyber punk, biopunk, military scifi, mecha, political thriller, and romance as well as wuxia elements. It is independently financed by the sister duo, Joanna & EJ Works, the series executive producers and directors.

Our voice actor pay rate starts at $6 an hour USD but is negotiable.

Most of the roles posted here have specific ethnicities/race, however we do have several open ethnic roles on the casting call list too.

Auditions will be open until Aug 28th 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Even though I review auditions as they come in my team and I won't be making casting decisions until we close the casting call and have finished reviewing all auditions submitted here, via e-mail and other postings. We will be contacting Actors no later then Sep. 4th with casting decisions.


Feedback: If you would like feedback on your audition I'll do my best to private message you as soon as I am able to. If you ask for feedback when you post your audition but I don't messaged you within three days of your submission don't be afraid to message me first. Especially if you're considering submitting a second recording. 


MINORS: Sage Cycle is a family friendly production. There is no sexual content, cussing, or gratuitous violence. However, there will be violence, death, and heavy themes that is not be suitable for all children under age 10. That being said, this is still a film production, if you're under age 18 and are being considered for a part I will have to interview you and your parent(s)/guardian via zoom (cameras on) to make sure they are aware of the part and consent to you working with us before I can officially cast you for anything. This is for the safety of all parties, but especially yours.

  • Offers are out!

    We have received replies from most of the Voice Actors we've sent offers to, but it being a holiday weekend we're still waiting to hear back from some.

    There were a lot of very talented people auditioning so if you didn't receive an offer for a role in Sage Cycle please, please, do not be discouraged! Some times it isn't about someone else being better, but a choice just has to be made. Keep working on your acting craft.

    I think I finished sending feedback to everyone who requested it, but if you had asked for feedback and didn't receive a message from me you can private message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

  • Offers are being sent out,

    We've begun to send out offers to actors for specific roles.

    Some have already accepted. I am having trouble getting CCC to show the assigned roles to the actors on CCC however.

    REQUESTED FEEDBACK:
    I am making slow progress on this list, my apologies. I am limited to how fast I am able to send multiple messages on CCC and most of my correspondence yesterday and today were in regards to casting.

    Thank you all for your auditions!

    The casting team will finish reviewing all the auditions received here and on other platforms. We will be contacting voice actors between Sep. 2nd-4th.

    Feedback: I still owe a couple of actors feedback, I will get to those soon.

    Decline or not decline: So far I have only used the "Decline" feature for auditions that did not fit specified ethnic casting for specific roles.
    If you auditioned for a role and are not contacted by me by September 4th please check to see if someone else has been marked as casted for that role. I do not like marking auditions as "Declined" because I can't read actors minds and everyone has different preferences on these things. So just keep an eye out on how roles are marked.

    If you sent an audition via e-mail I will be replying to you directly to let you know the results as soon as I can, if you have already been private messaging me I will message you directly, and of course if you have been selected I will be messaging you directly.

    Just a few notes:
    1. I didn't include it into the initial posting and I think I should have so I'm putting it here just to make sure that everyone following will see.

Polynesian or Pacific Islanders Only. Samoan VA preferred. 10 year old child queen, the story begins shortly after the assassination of her family. The new Queen must find away to protect her people from the invading forces of Musytari.
Bright, wears her feelings on her sleeves,  and reactionary. Atarah matures over the course of the series. Her kingdom is Fuga, decedents of Samoans who terraformed parts of the Musytari System along with other Polynesian people.

Prefer actor with Dwarfism for this role. Saint Omri is male, appears to be in his late 30’s, and is a dwarf in his human form. A genetically engineered Jadian he was created to hunt down qi cultivators. He shape shifts into a large bear. Ashamed of some of his wartime experiences but a proud father. Has done independent smuggling work and is also associated with the North Star space pirates. Sarcastic, perceptive, and strategist, becomes the team dad.

She has hopes of using her qi gifts to become a great Paladin like the founder of The Order, not just a nun.

Black/African character: Background character for much of the series, he's the Duke of Kinshasa. Clever tactician, Mischievous, pianist, lover of the arts, and highly motivated to succeed. Hard to impress and easily annoyed, he's quick to make a snide look or comment. Berlioz has a closer relationship to his older sister, Blaisie, then his younger brothers. As the political and military situation shifts Berlioz and Blaisie become formidable foes.
