Project Overview

I wanted to do this project a decade ago, but real life took over and it was shelved for a very long time... Until now... Now time to bring to life a fanfiction, based on the legendary educational video game! As for the project itself...

It's a fanfiction based on the legendary educational video game, Logical Journey of the Zoombinis. Here's the quick summary:

"Witness as Saetwo and her friends escape from the tyrannical Bloats and embark on an incredible and semieducational quest in search of a new home! I command you!"

REQUIREMENTS

Please note that some of these characters (especially the main ones) are recurring. I will expect commitment... and patience. Those who have auditioned may be considered as a role you have not auditioned for or extras (critters, other Zoombinis, etc.). You may also let me know if you wish to be an extra or the extra role as well as your current role. Regarding critiques, I will be prompt at handing them out at your request. You can ask me. 'I don't bite... hard.'

Even though it's a fan project for fun (and as such, won't have a budget), significant level of technical and performance quality is going to be expected. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping.

  • Deadline for auditions have been pushed back a week

    Since there is a lack of auditions for both Saetwo and Xekrai, I'm pushing auditions back an extra week.

  • Conneda Tonight, Uloobu Next Week

    Due to the person playing Uloobu dropping out, I’m opening up that role. But the role of Conneda will be cast at 11:59 PM ET tonight, so get your auditions in before then!

  • Uloobu now open

    The original VA who is portraying him has stepped down, citing personal reasons. Auditions are open and will close in one week.

  • Reopened auditions for Xekrai

    Due to a lack of communication on the original voice actor’s part, I have made a hard decision to recast the role, which means auditions are open, exclusively for Xekrai. Monday is the due date for them. So, get them in.

  • New deadline date

    I do love that I'm getting a nice flow of auditions, but there are some characters here that do need a bit of attention, especially Tyscene and Touli. For that, I'm extending auditions by one week. March 8th is the new end date. Based on what I'm getting here, I think I have some perfect selections for the NPC's that are in the specific puzzles (Stone Cold Caves, Pizza Pass, Captain Cajun's Ferryboat, Hotel Dimensia and something... Tattooed Toads)... Stay tuned!

The main protagonist. She is an impulsive, propeller-clad Zoombini. Medium to medium-high, but with a touch of softness.

  • (Figured out the puzzle in the Allergic Cliffs) "It's our features! They're allergic to certain features! See, Conneda's got sunglasses like Xekrai [Shek-rai], and I'll bet the left cliff is allergic to both of us! We just have to find out what makes each one sneeze, and we'll get everyone across!"

  • (Playful yet semi-serious about Xekrai's lack of brainpower) "You?" (then chuckles) "Xekrai, not to be offensive or anything, but... you're not exactly the brainy type."

  • (Trying to calm Echae [pronounced Ek-kei] down) "Oh, Echae, it doesn't matter. What matters is we're all still together. Now let's get going."

The overbearing, but troubled son of the Mayor of Zoombini Isle. Xekrai is bossy and is a bully towards everyone, even his younger sister, Tyscene. But his reasons for behaving this way go beyond what is on the surface... Medium to medium-low.

  • (Snapping back at Saetwo) "You think you can do a better job, four eyes?!"

  • (With so much pride and wanting to prove himself) "I'm telling you guys, one day, everybody is going to recognize that I'm IMPORTANT. Nobody's ever going to take me for granted again! I don't care what it takes, I'm gonna PROVE I belong in there! And you guys had better remember it!"

  • (Laughing after Saetwo got sneezed back by an Allergic Cliff) "Bwa ha ha ha! What was that, Saetwo? Forget how to fly?"

Xekrai's younger sister and the daughter of the Mayor of Zoombini Isle. Super-prissy and overbearing, just like her older brother. Medium-high to high. (Think Audrey from Huniepop)

  • (Snarling at Xekrai) "Yeah I wanna make something of it! The next time you think of obnoxious, I think you should look in a mirror!"

  • (Miffed at Captain Cajun for catapulting her into the river) "You know, this wouldn't be nearly as difficult if you didn't keep catapulting us into the water every time we make a mistake."

  • (Telling Echae about his groups' escape from Zoombini Isle) "Oh, sure. Besides giving us a very stern talking-to, they put guards all up and down the beach. In the watchtowers too. But I'll tell you, it's nothing a few well-aimed rocks to the head couldn't take care of."

  • (Indecisive about a topping for a pizza) "Okay, Echae, we're still missing one ingredient from Arno's pizza. Is it peppers or mushrooms?"
