RWBY Re:Bloom Volume One
Project Overview
RWBY Re:Bloom is a rewrite of the popular web series RWBY. I am looking for voice actors to join a burgeoning cast of talented actors to voice some the iconic characters. The recording process will be session based with a scheduled recording time spanning anywhere from 15-45 minutes per scene. We will be retelling volume one with some changes here and there. Some characters may be added, some characters maybe cut, some may have expanded rolls, and some characters may change completely. I'm looking for actors who are able to work well with others and want to be apart of a growing supportive community. If you have gotten this far and feel like this is the project for you, send in an audition! We'd love to hear what you can do!

We are fostering a project of growth and development. Remember to be supportive and kind to you fellow VAs. Bullying/Insulting another VAs will not be tolerated. We're all here because we love to perform so be kind to one another and lift each other up!
You must be able to join in on recording sessions. Recording lines alone will be allowed in special, temporary circumstances, but in auditioning for this project you are agreeing to join in on recording sessions held on discord and recorded via the recording bot craig.
We are a strictly NO AI project.
Give the performance you feel the character deserves. We are not looking for who can do the best impersonation, just the actor who gives the most accurate performance to our vision. All actors are encouraged to make these characters their own in their auditions.
Any person is welcome to audition, so long as you are kind and supportive.

Pyrrha Nikos , known as the invincible girl, is seemingly as close to perfect as a person can be. A born huntress, she has spent much of her early life training and competing to be the best. She has one multiple regional tournaments before attending Beacon, making her a celebrity of sorts among the students. This success comes at a cost though, many are intimidated by her status and accolades, this has led to a lonely life placed up on an impossibly high pedestal. Despite this Pyrrha keeps a level head. She is kind and supportive to those around her, wanting to help people reach their full potential even if they can’t see it themselves. Pyrrha develops a crush on a boy by the name of Jaune Arc, the only person to not see her as the invincible girl but just as she is. Pyrrha believes in destiny, that she worked her entire life for something great, but where her destiny will take her is the real question.

I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities; I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise; but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them - that I'm on a level that they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people. That's what I like about you: when we met, you didn't even know my name; you treated me like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with - someone who just saw me for me.
When I think of destiny, I don't think of a predetermined fate you can't escape. But rather... some sort of final goal, something you work towards your entire life.
Hello again!/ I'm sorry!/ Do you believe in destiny?

We've been friends for soooooooo long! What are the odds we'd still be together? Well, not 'together-together'... Not that I'm not saying that you're not handsome; you are handsome, but that'd just be weird, right?
Save the world?! You're going on world-saving missions without us?! I'm hurt! Sad! Maybe a little hungry. That last one's not your fault...
Don't be so nervous! The worst that could happen is we lose! Then it's just a few more years of walking around school with everyone knowing we're failures, our friends will slowly abandon us to preserve their social status, we won't be able to show our faces in class, no-one will sit with us in the cafeteria, and Ren and I have no parents so we have no home left to go to, we'll be officially renamed Team LOSE-iper! *manic sobbing*

Ozpin is the headmaster of Beacon Academy. Though he is rather young he is wise beyond his years. There is a sense of mystery to him, like he seems to know more than he is letting on. He can come across as cold or even outright malicious at times. He oversees the function of the school but there seems to be something deeper going on. Something Ozpin is preparing for.

It's just that I've only seen one other scythe wielder of that skill before. A dusty old crow.
I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge--to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.
Go, tell the world what you saw. Nobody will believe you. Just like nobody believed your father…

Mercury in particular has taken a particular interest in the main character Ruby Rose. But what his intentions are are unknown.

ENOUGH! Can’t you two see some of us are trying to enjoy the ride. You can kill each other after we land!
I was just getting the lay of the land! Quit biting my head off! I thought we were supposed to “Get to know our fellow students?”
Yeah, I think I’ve had enough fun for today. So… Where’s Berry and Rocky at?
Voice Actor
Emerald is a young woman attending Beacon. The leader of team EMBR, Emerald is a character of two personalities. The facade she wears of a kind and caring new student and the more serious and devious nature that lies beneath. Emerald wishes to blend in with the rest of the students, she is cordial on the surface with an almost forced positivity to her. But when she is alone with her team the more calculated truth of her personality reveals itself. A born thief, she is an expert at deceiving and manipulating people to get what she wants. The only person who sees through her is her teammate Mercury who often irritates Emerald. Making her drop her facade to chide him.

Oh Please! You don’t have to make up excuses for him! I’m so sorry he bothered you, we’ll get out of your hair now! C’mon Mercury! Let’s get going!
Unlike YOU I’m not sloppy. Plus he should have been keeping a closer eye on his things. It was like he was begging me to take it.
Are you done showing off?

The only openly Faunus attendant in the freshman class of Beacon. Velvet is the biggest departure from the original series. Velvet is a character that has been belittled and pitied her entire life with people believing she is helpless and weak. She has come to Beacon to prove those who doubted her wrong and become a Huntress. Velvet has a mercenary mentality. She is willing to say and do anything to get ahead, leading her to engage in some rather underhanded tactics to endear herself to Cardin Winchester. Velvet sees Cardin as her “golden ticket” to becoming a Huntress, using his strength to dominate the other teams.

You see Cardin, you have something I want and I have something you need. You have the team, I have the relics. So we can team up and tolerate each other for the next 4 years to get what we want, or I can destroy the relics. Along with any hope you had of becoming a Huntsman. The choice is yours…
You’re Cardin Winchester! You deserve the best! Why settle for the third smartest student to do your homework when you could have the smartest one do it instead? These ears aren’t just for looking cute y’know! I hear things, and I just overheard something that will make that blonde loser do anything you ask him to.
Get it through your head, I DON’T WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND! I came here to become a huntress, not to make you feel good about yourself!

Hey! Why don’t you pick on someone your own size? Oh my bad! There probably isn’t someone your own size! Hahaha!
Dad’s been… Better… Daimyo’s been riding him pretty hard lately. Spends most of his days just pacing around his office or arguing with people. But he’s keeping it together.
Oh yeah, hiding Faunus traits is a common thing in Minstrel. I remember when I was a kid I would tuck my tail into my pants so the cops would leave me alone. There are some sick freaks out there who like to collect those things. They pay people, poachers I think they’re called, to hunt down Faunus and cut off their tails, ears, whatever so that the buyer can hang it in their house like a trophy. It’s vile stuff…

Penny is an artificial girl created by top Atlassian scientists to be the first of her kind, a fully synthetic being that can generate aura. Penny lived a sheltered life with constant surveillance and testing. To Atlas she is the most valuable weapon in their arsenal, but to herself she is just a girl who longs for friends. Penny longs to be a “real girl” to be able to live like everyone else without the watchful eye of General Ironwood over her. She is very positive, though rather naive and awkward. She quickly forms bonds with anyone who interacts with her, becoming incredibly clingy. This with her lack of understanding of social cues makes Penny a rather odd but endearing character.

Sen-sational! We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys!
I'm... not a real girl… Most girls are born, but I was made. I'm the world's first synthetic person capable of generating an Aura! I'm not real...
Salutations!/ I'm combat ready!/ This is going to be so much fun!
