Thank you for checking out my casting call! Unlike most of our casting calls, this one is for a leading role in one of the manga dubs we are currently in the process of casting. There was originally someone cast for this role but unfortunately they are no longer able to voice it, so we are in need of someone else to take over the role.
This is a very sweet manga and is considered a slice of life style, with cute moments and comedy. It is about a girl and her Shiba Inu, Haru travelling around the post apocalyptic world today where there are no longer humans but there are dogs that can talk, aliens and other animals.
I am only leaving this casting up for 1 week since we do need to cast him asap since we would like to be ready to start uploading episodes by the beginning of June.
What I'm Looking For
Due to this and future projects like this being fandubs, unfortunately I am not able to offer monetary compensation due to copyright. Although it is unpaid though I would like to still have a level of professionalism and quality to the project. So I will be looking for people with:
Haru is one of the 2 leads in the manga. He is a male Shiba Inu who loves his master unconditionally, even when she teases him all the time. He is a sweet and caring dog, and although he is extremely intelligent and regularly tells facts, tales and stories, he is also completely oblivious in some situations as well. He does go through a range of pretty much every type of emotion throughout the series, so the person cast will need to be able to emote. He can be a bit overly dramatic as well when it comes to his master.
For his voice I picture a more sweet and gentler voice, something more young and cute for a male dog. I'm totally open to interpretations, his voice just should not be overly deep as it wouldn't fit the breed at all.
It's alright, Master. If you would just give me a bite of your food... What?! You wont?! Are you evil?! *Happy for the concern, then devastated when she says she won't share*
Aah...... She's having those sinister thoughts again... *Uncomfortable and nervous*
Cats are said to have nine lives... But if a cat is curious, it would still not have enough lives if it does every reckless thing.... Like you who got us lost here in the sea of trees!!! What were you expecting to find when that compass is spinning?! *Pondering then frustration*
Ah! Master is having that nightmare again! It's okay! It's okay! The world really HAS been destroyed!! *Panic trying to help her*
Masterrrrrr! Master where are you?!!!?!? *Calling out into the lake she fell in* MASTER!!! *Excited and relieved when she's carried out of the water* Master! Master! Master! Master! Master! Master! Master! Master! *Running in circles bouncing around so happy she's back that he's not listening to anything*
