[PAID][AUDIOBOOK] Resident Evil: The Umbrella Conspiracy

Project Overview

My Goal for this series is to have a fully dramatized audio book. I have listened to many audio books in the past and have noticed that most are just read from the book or have some music playing lightly in the background. 

My vision is to have an audio book that has all the sound effects and music but also the atmosphere that can truly make an audio book something special. 

The attached video is an example of how I would like the project to begin. The Video is the prologue and doesn't have much in variety to show the true scope and magnitude of what I am going to accomplish. But it is a start!


Requirements:

  • 18+ Only
  • No Background Noise
  • Good quality microphone
  • Have basic knowledge of source material
  • Discord account
  • Be committed to the project
  • Ability to convey emotion/inflection
  • No auto tuning


**PAYMENT**

Each role will be paid a minimum of $10 per chapter completed! Depending on the amount of lines read for the chapter, I would be willing to pay more, once agreed upon. 

PLEASE NOTE: Not all roles show up in every chapter!

  • The Final Update!

    Hello everyone and thank you for joining me on this awesome journey! With tomorrow being he last day for auditions, I've been super excited but also intimidated by the amount of auditions I got! You guys are truly amazing! During the last week, I've been on my death bed with pneumonia and have had nothing but time to think about this project. I'm still recovering a bit, but should be 100% within the week! Seeing as the doctor also gave me til Wednesday off from work, this will be my main focus. I will not be stopped! With that being said! At any time on March 2nd (tomorrow) I will start casting my Roles. My shortlist is narrowed down to 1 person per role, so if you put in an audition make sure it is the best you can produce. When I cast someone for a role, I'm going to immediately contact them via CCC and we will talk more about the future! I want to again thank you all for taking an interest in such a small indie project! -Shane

    Hey Everyone! First off, again, let me thank all of you who have taken the time to audition for my project! I'm really happy to see others are as excited about this project as much as I am. Secondly, I hope you all know that I have gone through each and every audition and listened to them all multiple times. Everyone has done such a phenomenal job and it makes choosing truly hard! But with that being said we are closing in on the deadline and I am going to have to start narrowing the list of names down. So starting Friday (2/21) I will begin shortlisting auditions! Please Note: All auditions that are not shortlisted will be rejected. Additional Note: Auditions are still welcome up until the deadline! Just understand that they will either be "Shortlisted" or "Rejected" immediately. Those who are shortlisted will be contacted by me via PM or by discord (If available).   • A quick Discord update!

    Hey everyone, First let me say THANK YOU to all of you who have auditioned! I never actually thought that this would gain any traction. And not only has it, but everyone's auditions are amazing and I'm truly thankful! With that being said, I have started up a Discord for the Youtube channel that this audiobook will be posted on in the future. Please note that this discord channel will be mandatory if you are cast for a role. But it is also a community I want to build!     "My Theory at this point is that there's a possible ritualistic cult hiding in the mountains, four to eleven members strong, with guard dogs trained to attack intruders in their territory."

  • (Continuing theory)

    "The cannibalism and dismemberment suggests ritualistic behavior, as does the presence of decomposed flesh found on some of the victims-- Like the killers are carrying parts of previous unknown victims to their attacks.  We have four separate human assailants, though eye-witness reports suggest up to ten or eleven people. And those killed by animals were all found or found to be attacked in the same vicinity, suggesting that they wandered into some kind of off-limits area. The saliva traces appear to be canine, though there's still some disagreement."

  • (Inner monologue, Nervous after hearing a noise) 

    "--Which means that someone was already here when I came in, in the shadows behind the last bank. A cop grabbing a Nap?"

In this Chris is in his mid 20s and has already worked for S.T.A.R.S. for a while.  Although not a veteran, he definitely knows his way around a sticky situation.

    "Except no one is supposed to have been here for thirty years, let alone hosted a formal dinner! Spencer had this place closed down before anyone ever stayed here--"

Wesker is the Leader of the S.T.A.R.S. team. But he also is an undercover umbrella operative sent to gather information from the Spencer estate.

He is cunning, highly intelligent and manipulative.

    "Chris!-- Good, you're here. Looks like we can stop wasting time."

    "It's a start, I know you've all read the police and coroner reports, and listened to the eye witness accounts... Now at this point, we don't know what we're dealing with and I know that all of us have some... concerns with how the RPD has been dealing with the situation. But now that we're on the case, I ---"

  • (After seeing the wreckage of bravo team, Wesker explains the plan while their helicopter lands)

    "Listen up. We've got people down in a possibly hostile environment. I want all of you armed, and I want an organized approach, a standard fan as soon as we set down. Barry, you'll take point."

    "I doubt it. It was supposed to be some kind of guest house for Umbrella's top execs. Trevor did disappear right about the time of the completion-- But Spencer is a whacko, anyway. He decided to move Umbrella's headquarters to Europe, I forget where exactly, and just boarded up the mansion. Probably a couple million bucks, straight into the crapper."

  • (After returning to the main room of the mansion and find that Wesker is missing)

    "I don't think the RPD showed up and snuck him out. Though if he did run into trouble, we would have heard the shots--"

Rebecca is the youngest S.T.A.R.S. member at only 18 years old. But don't let that fool you. She is also a genius that graduated college with a bachelors degree in chemistry at 18. Rebecca was part of Bravo team that went in original and contact with their group was lost.

    *Inner Monologue* - "Nice going, Rebecca. Way to make a good impression on your first operation. Lose your gun, get lost, blind a teammate..."

  • (After finding a document about the T-Virus and trying to understand it and explain it to Chris)

    "You're looking at a strain chart, That one's a host for generating genomic libraries containing methylated cytosine--- Or adenine residues, depending." 

    (Sees Chris Staring Blankly at her)

     "Sorry. Basically, there's a lot of, uh, stuff in here on viral infection."

  • ( Chris asks her about how she feels staying by herself while he goes to search the Mansion)

    "Makes sense, I don't have a gun and if you run into trouble, I'd only slow you down... Though, if you get your ass kicked by a mathematical theorem, don't come crying to me."
