Thanks for the auditions so far! We've extended the deadline for submissions until August 31st to give others an opportunity to audition as well.
Rayman 2: The Great Escape HD - Ly's voice
Project Overview
We are New Dawn Games, a group of passionate developers and hard working Rayman fans! We're currently working on Rayman 2: The Great Escape HD, a modern remake of the first 3D Rayman game originally released in 1999. We're currently looking for a voice actor to provide their voice to Ly the fairy. The current casting call will involve dialogue for Ly to use in cutscenes.
Please note that this is an unpaid casting call! Since at New Dawn Games we're all volunteering our time to work on this passion project, there won't be a budget available. Also note that this casting call doesn't involve recordings for the whole game yet, so it would be preferable if you would also be available for a longer period of time to do additional voice work as well.
Notes to take into account when auditioning:
- Please make sure your audio is sounding nice and professional (use a decent microphone, no clipping noises, minimum room reverb, the usual things).
- Please record in mono WAV format with a sample rate of at least 48 kHz.
- Additional contact would preferably be on Discord. as we use that as our primary means of communication. Sending files can be done via mail or Discord.

Ly the fairy is a major character of the game we're reimagining. She is a fun-loving and friendly character that puts a lot of faith and trust in the heroes of the world, and is willing to help Rayman defeat the Robo-Pirate army. Also, she's a calm and very meditative character and spends most of her time meditating deep in the forest. During the game, she provides Rayan with several Silver Lums, which enhance Rayman's powers, and has a general guiding role throughout his adventure.
Her voice in the original game is an echoing, feminine voice, which we're trying to recreate in Rayman 2 HD, Anyone is free to audition, but having some familiarity with the source material is preferred.
