Takaba is a 35-year-old man with dark hair and light eyes, usually wearing his signature eccentric, superhero-esque comedy costume featuring a white and red color scheme, a grinning heart symbol on the chest, and smiley-face accents. A relentlessly silly and optimistic soul, Takaba is a struggling, failed comedian whose jokes almost always bomb terribly with everyone around him. Despite complete lack of audience success, he possesses unshakeable self-confidence in his own humor. He is deeply kind-hearted, fiercely opposed to unnecessary cruelty, and uses his comedy-obsessed outlook to mask a genuine desire to bring joy—and to cope with a lonely past. Unbeknownst to him, his absolute conviction in what is "funny" literally bends reality via his innate technique, Comedian.
