In an attempt to get a girl to go to prom with them, Kaj and Lukas have gotten themselves into a high-stakes game of gay chicken. Only one can win, and neither intends to back down. Rage Quit is a Boys Love manga about two regular teenagers with the social skills of a protein-fixated gym bro and a chronically online gamer.

Hi everyone! It is genuinely, absolutely mindboggling to see how many submissions there are. I want to thank everyone who tried out for the project, there are genuinely so many super talented and amazing voices among you, and too many to choose from.
At this time, we have completed 2nd round auditions and have begun selecting candidates for each role. If you were not selected or did not hear from us, thank you so much for auditioning and we wish you the best with your future projects and auditions.
We are still leaving auditions open for singers---we have not begun casting those roles yet. But at this time we will not be looking at any new auditions for other roles. Thanks again!
Looking for a singer to perform as Kaj in an original indie rock song. If you can also voice act, please apply for both roles—having the same performer for both would be ideal and will increase your odds!
His voice is the complement of Lukas’. His voice is lower energy and deep (for a teenager). He sounds (mostly) level-headed. But he’s got just as bad a temper as Lukas and will scream his head off if he gets pissed enough.
Please include your best sample so we can understand your voice and talent! During the 2nd round, we will provide an indie rock demo to provide vocals for.
*Say something you think would fit*

His voice is the complement of Kaj’s. Despite his dudebro persona, he’s got the voice of a screechy high-school gremlin. He always sounds smug, but if his confidence is shot, that all breaks down into a squeaky kid. Notably, his voice is not androgynous—both his and Kaj’s voices are masculine.

Protagonist. Recurring.
Kaj *cough* Sorry, Kai, is a high-school gamer and Discord troll. His whole aura and voice feel a little depressing. But make no mistake, he’s as passionate as they come. Get him riled up and he won’t back down, even if he is as thin as a twig.
*thinking.* No way!! That’d be social suicide! I wasn’t really expecting any chance at all, though… I could beat this sucker, but at what cost? Would it even be worth it?
I could beat this sucker, but at what cost? Would it even be worth it? *tired and flat* Listen- We can get out of this without looking like morons. No bullshit, just the bare minimum and we let Pia pick whoever at the end. Deal?
*starts slow and builds into a rage* I came here to make peace. But if you’re not going to listen to reason, then… I’LL DESTROY YOU, ROMANTICALLY! I’ll love you like your mom never could, you worm!
Protagonist. Recurring.
Lukas is a complete gymbro. He’s obsessed with his training and diet, but he’s still a scrawny teenager whose voice is still in the process of dropping. He’s a ball of spite with his focus completely aimed at “loving” Kai to death.
Line Index: 1st: Ch1 Pt6, 2nd: Ch1 Pt12, 3rd: Ch1 Pt13
*thinking. he just realized he’s in over his head.* Shit. Idiot. Well done, Lukas! Classic, really! You and your big mouth… Robin is never going to let you hear the end of this!
*smug* If you’re not ready to commit 100% to this game of chicken… Then you better be ready to get run over- WITH LOVE!!
*enraged* OH IT’S SO ON!! Saturday at 12 O’Clock at the bus stop! First date is on me! 1-1 Bastard!!
Antagonist. Recurring.
Pia is the most popular girl in school. She’s the student council president, regional badminton champ, and runs the book club. She’s cute as hell to boot: to everyone, she appears like the perfect model student. But she has a secret dark side.
For the most part, Pia has an extremely charismatic, charming voice. She’s intelligent and well spoken, yet still clearly a teenage girl. But when her inner demon slips out, she sounds like a demon.
Line Index: 1st: Ch1 Pt4, 2nd: Ch1 Pt5, 3rd: Ch1 Pt8
No need to get rowdy! I’m so sorry about the girls, they just get defensive. I’m super flattered!
If you must fight about it, let’s do it properly! We’ll have a contest for my hand!! Whoever wins can take me to prom.
*demonically evil* They won’t last a week.
Supporting. Recurring.
Emily is Pia’s best friend. A tomboy obsessed with protecting her friend.
Emily has a lower voice than most girls her age, a bit of a complement to Pia’s. She speaks fairly flatly or in an angry tone most of the time.
Line Index: 1st: Ch1 Pt2, 2nd: Ch1 Pt4, 3rd: Ch1 Pt7
You’d think she’d be really mean, but she always stands up for the other girls. I think that’s why they respect her so much.
*taken aback* WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED TO FRIES BEFORE GUYS!?
*said with calm, cold anger, which slowly rages out* Yes… They should eat every lunch together. At school. In the canteen. Where we can see them!
Supporting. Recurring.
Robin is the biggest 9th grader you’ve ever seen. He’s a very stereotypical gym bro. He takes the gym seriously… So seriously, he failed 9th grade and is retaking the year.
He’s got a deeper voice than the rest of the boys; the extra year on them helps. But despite his gymbro-ness, he is level-headed and rather rational-sounding. While he doesn’t show it, he cares quite a bit about his best friend, Lukas.
Line Index: 1st and 2nd: Ch1 Pt1, 2nd: Ch1 Pt2
Pretty messed up, bro.
Wait, you haven’t heard?
Have you seen her at badminton practice? She’s so hot, dude. …Don’t tell my girlfriend I said that.
Antagonist. Recurring.
Thinly framed and oozing charisma that’s used for evil, Dave often leads the “boy pack” of jerks that mock Kaj and Lukas in the cafeteria. He acts as a voice for all their insecurities about doing this bet.
Line Index: 1st and 2nd: Ch1 Pt14, 2nd: Ch1 Pt15
Get a room, yeah?
So you’re really doing it, huh?
Soooo like … Who’s the girl?
The narrator’s voice stands in striking contrast to the cast, with a much more adult tone than the surrounding teens. It’s a voice that carries far more weight than these situations really require. It’s a vocalization of the exaggerated thoughts of these high schoolers.
Line Index: 1st: Ch1 Pt1, 2nd: Ch1 Pt2
How far would you go… To get a girl to go to prom with you?
Pia has been the most popular girl in class since kindergarten. And for good reason… You could ask anyone in school… Taking her to prom would cement a legacy.
6 Minor Roles. Recurring.
A group of boys surrounding their informal leader, Dave. They find the bet between Kaj and Lukas just as hilarious and tend to fill in with “helpful” comments.
They're having their first fight! Are you gonna kiss and make up?
Damn, I can't imagine not already having a date for prom.
OOOOO!!!
They can't be for real, can they?
Wait- Is that the chocolate you gave me??
