Psycho Girls — Original Series | Writers, Creative Collaborators & Voice Actors Wanted
Project Overview
Psycho Girls is an original supernatural mystery series currently in pre-production.
The story follows a group of six young women whose everyday lives begin to collide with something far stranger. At regular intervals, they are pulled away from the normal world and into a distorted reality where they are forced to face dangerous trials, unexplained creatures, and mysteries connected to a growing number of disappearances.
Despite the supernatural premise, the series is primarily character-driven. A major focus is the relationship between the protagonists: their friendships, conflicts, insecurities, humor, and how they change as the story progresses.
The tone combines comedy, mystery, supernatural horror, action, and everyday character moments, with influences including Persona, NANA, Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and False Memory.
The project is currently being developed as an approximately 20-minute animated pilot, with the intention of expanding it into a larger series if the project gains enough interest and support.
Production uses generative AI as part of the visual animation pipeline, combined with traditional editing, sound design, writing, direction, and other production work.
At the moment, I’m primarily looking for screenwriters / creative collaborators and voice actors. For voice acting, the main priority is casting the six female protagonists, although there will also be male and supporting roles.
This is a small, independent, low-budget project, currently being developed largely by one person. I want to be transparent about the scale of the production from the beginning. I can offer some compensation for certain roles, but the budget is very limited.

Writer
I’m looking for a screenwriter / creative collaborator to help develop Psycho Girls, an original supernatural series currently in pre-production.
The project already has its main concept, characters, world, story direction, and part of the pilot developed. I’m looking for someone who can go beyond proofreading or polishing dialogue and contribute creatively to the script: identifying scenes that aren’t working, proposing stronger alternatives, improving character dynamics, restructuring sequences when necessary, and helping make the characters feel distinctive, believable, and emotionally engaging.
Character writing and dialogue are especially important. I’m looking for someone comfortable with character-driven storytelling, comedy, mystery, supernatural elements, and fast-paced cinematic storytelling.
Some of the main tonal and creative references include the Persona series, NANA, Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and False Memory.
The pilot is approximately 20 minutes long, and this could potentially become an ongoing collaboration if we work well together.
The series is being produced using AI-assisted animation and other generative AI tools, so you should be comfortable working on a project that incorporates AI into its visual production pipeline.
Please keep in mind that this is currently a small, independent, low-budget project. I’m developing and producing it largely on my own, with very limited financial resources, so I want to be transparent about the scale of the production from the beginning. My goal is to build something ambitious creatively despite those limitations, and potentially grow the project over time.

Voice Actor
I’m looking for voice actors for Psycho Girls, an original supernatural animated series currently in pre-production.
The main priority at the moment is casting the six female protagonists, although male voice actors are also welcome to audition for supporting and future characters.
The series is heavily character-driven, so having real voice actors is very important to me. This is a very small independent production with a limited budget, but I do want to offer some paid compensation for voice work whenever possible.
I’m looking for natural, expressive performances rather than an overly exaggerated “anime dub” style. The series includes comedy, everyday conversations, emotional scenes, mystery, arguments, and intense action sequences, so versatility is important.
Actors with a wide vocal and acting range are especially welcome, particularly if you’re able to convincingly perform multiple characters.
The animation is produced using generative AI as part of the visual production process.
This is currently a small, low-budget project, being developed by one person with limited resources. I want to be transparent about that from the beginning, although I’ll do my best to offer some financial compensation to the actors where possible.
