Project Overview
Have you ever wanted to be an idol or join a band? If so this is the project for you! Welcome to the project sekai fan dub page! This is a project for those who want to have fun and do voice acting as a hobby. We are going to be dubbing the main stories, area chats, songs, and so on! Our videos will all be posted and uploaded to our YouTube channel which can be found here: https://youtube.com/channel/UCeDsxYfCW-gh4YfVdVCu21g

Rules:
1. You MUST be 13+ to audition.
2. Discord will be our main way of communication so it is required that you have it.
3. Your microphone quality should be decent enough to hear you. Some background noise is okay, but static and talking should not be heard.
4. You are allowed to do your own take on the characters, no need to try and be as accurate as possible! If you do this though please try to stay within the same range.
5. Singing is REQUIRED in the audition, however if you are not comfortable please state that whenever you audition.
6. You MUST have your discord handle whenever you post your audition otherwise it will be ignored because we will be unable to identify you when casting comes.
Audition Notes:
1. Knowledge of the game and story is not required.
2. We prefer if you are able to sing + voice act, however if you are unable to sing or are uncomfortable that is okay! For the audition we will require it though just to understand your vocal range better. If you wish to not sing in case of being cast please specify whenever you audition.

Hatsune Miku is a virtual star known to many people around the world. In the world of sekai she helps people to realize their true feelings and creates a world just for them. Along with her are her other virtual singer friends.
Her voice range is pretty large, however she is generally seen as higher pitched and happy. The only version of her where she js not like this is in her Nightcord 25:00 where she sounds more monotone. Please keep in mind when auditioning for this role that she will have a lot of lines for each of the six groups and her vocal range can change. You are free to make your own interpretation of the character.

Kaito is known for being a virtual singer with his other friends. He is well known all over the world. In the sekai universe he works together with the other singers to help people realize their true feelings.
Kaito’s range doesn’t change much unlike the other members. Kaito has a version in every sekai so he will have a bit of lines so please keep that in mind when auditioning. He is rather laid back, calm, and always willing to listen to what you have to say. Since he is a young adult (around 23-25) he should sound more mature and not like a child. You are free to do your own take though.

Len Kagamine is one of the virtual singers in Miku’s group! He is always seen getting into heated debates with his twin sister, but at the end of the day they make up and are fine again! He’s always wanting to help others and take some risks along the way.
Len has 5 counter parts to his regular self. While most of them are the same there is one that will require a more monotone voice. Typically, he is energetic and has a high pitch voiced. You are free to do your own interpretation of him. Females are allowed to audition for this role as well. Please keep in mind he will have a lot of lines.

Rin Kagamine is one of the virtual singers who helps Miku in the sekai! Together with her friends she helps people realize what their true feelings are. Compared to Len, she is a bit more of a hot head and always has enough energy to keep her going!
Rin has 5 counter parts to her so you need to make sure you are able to handle a bit of a tone shift for her. While 4/5 of her sekais stay the same energy wise, one of them is more monotone and expressionless. Typically, Rin is more energetic though so she should sound a bit childish. You are free to do your own interpretation though. Please keep in mind she will have a lot of lines.

Meiko is one of the main virtual singers in the game. She is trying to help people realize their true feelings with the rest of the cast. Out of everyone she is seen as more mature and calm, even owning her own café in the street sekai. Meiko is one of the oldest in the cast, loving to tease people here and there.
Meiko’s voice is medium-lower range as she is meant to be portrayed as mature. If you audition for her you should be around 15+ since she mentions drinking a fair bit in some interactions. Her tone is usually more playful, however she can be a bit less emotionless whenever it comes to the Nightcord 25:00 sekai. If you audition for her please keep in mind she has a lot of lines. Feel free to make your own interpretation of her.

Ichika is Leo/Need’s vocalist and guitarist. She seems aloof at first glance, but is friendly and caring when you get to know her. She’s known her bandmates since they were little, but a certain event drove a wedge between them. Ichika loves listening to Miku songs.
Ichika’s vocal range is medium as she can be seen as more quiet. She is generally a sweet girl who has a really powerful vocal range.

Saki is Leo/Need’s keyboardist. She is always cheerful and is the funny one out of the group. Saki just returned to school, having missed much of junior high due to poor health. She was always looking forward enjoying high school life and reuniting with old friends, but finds that things have become.. complicated.
Saki’s voice is higher pitched and can be heard with all of her energy whenever she speaks. Her singing voice is a bit lower though. If you try to voice her feel free to do whatever you want as long as you keep the general vibe of her personality.

Honami is Leo/Need’s drummer. She excels in both sports and schoolwork and has a kind and caring personality. Honami has been friends with her band members since childhood, but drifted apart during junior high school.
Whenever she talks she sounds formal and speaks pretty softly. Compared to others of the cast she is more quiet spoken and polite. She has a medium range, but could also be put a bit higher.

(Calm) Hello everyone. I’m the drummer for Leo/Need, and my name is Honami Mochizuki. I’m on drums because I was a percussionist in brass band during junior high.
(Confused, slowly turns into joy and passion) What else… Oh, I like to stargaze. I often find myself just staring up at the sky at night without realizing it.

Shiho is Leo/Need’s bassist. Shiho needs her space and dislikes clingy people like her sister. She tends to totally get absorbed in her hobbies and doesn’t care what others may think of her. She used to be very close with her band members until something happened that caused a rift in their friendship.
She is the most closed off character in the cast compared to others she she is soft spoken and always calm. Despite the way she acts though she tends to get embarrassed easily. For her voice she should sound calm and have a lower voice range. Her singing is also lower so preferably someone who is an alto.

Minori is hard working and driven, traits that can be seen in her single minded pursuit of a career as an idol. Becoming an idol has been her dream ever since she saw Haruka performing in the idol group ASRUN. Minori has been to a lot of auditions, but so far no success.
Minori is always full of energy and is one of the more happy members of the cast. She has a optimistic attitude and speaks sweetly. Her singing voice is no different either as it’s a high pitched and sweet tone. If you audition for her make sure you have a lot of energy to portray her.

Haruka was a member of the nationally famous idol group ASRUN. Her incredible charisma made her the most popular member of that group, but unfortunately it disbanded. Her favorite animal is a penguin and she will often squeal of happiness when seeing one.
Haruka’s voice is a medium range with a very calm and happy go lucky tone. She is always looking to a bright future and does her best to support her peers. If you audition for her please try to sound reassuring with your voice, but feel free to intemperate her in your own unique way.

Airi used to be a TV personality, appearing on many variety shows. She’s very confident to the point of coming off as pushy sometimes. Despite being passionate and invested in her budding idol career, something happened that resulted in her quitting her talent agency.
Airi has a lot of energy and is not afraid to express her opinion to other people. She enjoys what she does though and shows a lot of confidence to other people. Her voice can be any range as long as it is not low. Feel free to add your own interpretation of her!

Shizuku is affiliated with the idol group Cheerful*Days. Her mysterious and mature aura are hit with her fans, but have earned her the jealousy of fellow group members. Shizuku loves to talk to others and share stories about her younger sister.
Her voice is soft and welcoming yet has a bit of a mature side to it. If you audition for Shizuku you should be able to pull off that type of tone with a medium range. This can be pushed between low and high though as long as you keep her tone.

Kohane is very shy and lacks self confidence. Her passion for music began when she saw An jamming with other musicians at a live music cafe bar. It was her first encounter with rap and fast-paced music unlike anything she’d learn at school.
Kohane is quiet, soft spoken, and very kind. Her voice should be on the high-medium pitch range. Her tone needs to sound shy as that is a huge part of her character. You do not need to rap, but if you plan on singing for her you may want to learn to or be able to since her group revolves around this type of music.

The easy-going yet spirited daughter of a retired musician who had quite the reputation on the streets of Shibuya. An’s goal is to put on a show that surpasses her Dad’s RAD WEEKEND gig.
An’s voice can be interpreted in many different ways so for vocal range you can do anything aside from low. She is known for having a bit of energy and being a free spirit so you may want to try and incorporate that. The group she is in involves rap so if you are able to do that please showcase it!

Akito was inspired to get into music by An’s Dad. He sings with his partner Toya at the BAD DOGS clubhouse. He seems like a gentle mannered-boy, but there’s also another side to his personality where he can be more emotional getting upset or sad.
Akito’s voice is powering and he is good at beatboxing. He has a lot of power in his normal voice as well and isn’t afraid to express emotions. If you audition for him I prefer you know how to rap and or beatbox since this is a huge part of his character. If not that’s okay, but try your best.

Reserved and taciturn. His strict Dad, a classical musican, had Toya take music classes for especially talented children from a young age. This early education brought results, but in an act of defiance against his Father, Toya became a street musician.
He is a soft speaker and known for being stoic and calm unlike his other group members. His range would be medium, but feel free to do whatever you want with him as long as you get his personality and tone down. It is preferred you know how to rap since he does a lot in his singing, but not required.

Tsukasa has bucketloads of confidence and loves to be the center of attention, although he easily gets carried away. A theatre show he saw as a kid impressed him so much that he made it his ultimate goal to become the greatest star in the world. He’s a supportive brother to his frail sister, Saki.
Tsukasa’s voice should be filled with a lot of energy and confidence! He’s also a bit dramatic so feel free to over exaggerate things if you want! He has a lower voice, but it can be medium range as well. Keep in mind he yells a lot.

Emu is all happiness and innocence. She acts upon her ideas without a second thought, sometimes to the consternation of her friends. She’s searching for like-minded performers to help her bring a deserted stage in Phoenix Wonderland back to its formal glory.
Emu doesn’t dislike anything and has the most energy out of the whole cast. If you audition make sure you get her energy down, go crazy! She can’t sit quiet for one moment as everything is exciting! She has a high pitch as well which probably shouldn’t be changed.

Won… won… WONDERHOY! I’m Emu Otori from WonderlandsxShowtime! Hehehe. Emu’s such a cute and interesting name, don’t you think? Emu means to smile, and I was given this name so that I could always have a smile on my face. Well? Well, are you smiling yet? That’d make me really happy!

Nene joined the group at Rui’s recommendation. She’s sharp-tounhed, but honey-voiced, with the singing ability of a budding musical star. For some reason, she refuses to show herself to Tsukasa and Emu, deploying Robo-Nene to perform shows in her place.
Her voice is soft and quiet, it can work with any range, however medium is preferred. Out of the group she is the most normal and tries to let the others know how crazy their ideas are. She’s shy which is why she hides.
Director Note: Two people may get cast for this role depending on if someone does a really good Nene voice and a really got Robot Nene as her robot is in a lot of the scenes in the story.

Nene’s neighbor and childhood friend, Rui is an easy going genius. He’s meticulous about making every show the best it can be, making use of his flair for technology and inventiveness. He even builds robots to use on stage. His somewhat unique way of thinking often gets him labeled as a weirdo. He is known for teasing Tsukasa and being mischievous.
Rui’s vocal range is higher than the other males, but medium still works for him. He can be a drama king so feel free to go all out when auditioning for him. Feel free to be as chaotic as you want here.

Kanade was traumatized when her music inadvertently led someone very dear to her into depression. This unfortunate event resulted in her focusing on creating songs which inspired hope, and she created Nightcord 25:00 specifically with this goal in mind. She composes songs for the group.
Kanade’s voice is lower and doesn’t have as much emotion. She does still have some though, so please do not make her fully emotionless. The best way to think of it is sounding tired and wanting to sit alone at home.

My name is Kanade Yoisaki, from Nightcord 25:00. I mainly compose songs. Huh? Not my real name, but my handle? Okay… I’ll start again.
My name is K. I mainly compose songs for the group, but once a song is done, everyone sings it together.
We usually meet at 25:00, meaning 1:00am. Nightcord has voice chat and file sharing functions, which makes things easier for us. When did I start? I’ve been writing songs since I was a child.

The lyricist of Nightcord at 25:00, Mafuyu is goof natured, reliable, considerate, and academically talented. She’s the only member of the group who attends daytime classes. She seems to have no flaws whatsoever… or is she just putting on a facade?
Mafuyu is soft spoken, yet she can be scary at times. In order to voice her you need to be able to portray two emotions and switch back and forth easily. One side of her is polite and formal as the other one lacks emotion and only wants to feel free.

Ena’s desperate craving for recognition has led to her becoming addicted to social media. Her Dad is a famous painter, and she posts her own art online. Kanade came across Ena’s artwork, and invited her to join the group as an illustrator.
Ena’s voice is a medium-higher range. She is often known for somewhat catty attitude and wanting the spotlight to be on her. Her voice is powerful and tends to have a lot of emotion in it.

Kind of moody and obsessed with anything cute. Falling in love with one of Kanade’s songs found at random online, Mizuki created a music video for it, which in turn caught Kanade’s attention. That’s how Mizuki became the group’s animator. Friend's though may be, Mizuki keeps a big secret from the rest of the group.
Their vocal range is medium-higher pitched with a lot of emotion to it. They like to tease their friends sometimes and will often get remarks back. If you audition for them please remember to keep your vocal range in the middle if possible as they have a masculine and feminine voice.
