Project Overview

Some important things before auditioning

  • I am a student who is about to finish high school, which might sound a little crazy, but this is my very first creative project. Because I’m still learning, I kindly ask for patience and understanding.(Please be gentle...) Please don't expect payment, as I'm not capable of that. However, I felt bad about not wanting to pay people for their work.

  • This is a Passion Project, so if you love Pokemon, or an interesting story, this I hope will be a fun project.

  • Please have a Discord account. I want to speak with any accepted voice actors and record lines specific to the pilot and Actual Episodes, and get to know you. I know this is a business relationship, but I would strongly prefer to know the people whose voices I am using for my project. To clarify, I do not expect us to be best friends, but simply not strangers.

  • As mentioned, I am an amateur, so please bear with me. I am learning along the way. I really want things to go well and for people to enjoy working with me, so I ask for respect in return. To clarify, I am young and inexperienced; please give me leeway.

  • While I am not picky with audio, please use a clear microphone that does not sound like it's being recorded in an echo chamber or a wind tunnel. I want to be able to hear you clearly.

  • Please be interested in the long term when applying. Because this is only for testing, just to see how voice sounds with the story and to test its flow. I want to hear how scenes will sound like before fully making a project about making a show or comic.

  • I understand being busy and caught up, but please communicate, especially if you're no longer interested in the project. Please don't audition, then ghost me.

  • None of the lines has much voice direction simply because I wish to see the voice actor's interpretation. A good actor, in my personal opinion, is an actor who can make a character their own while staying within the confines rather than blindly following direction.

  • Please space out takes.

REMEMBER THIS AGAIN - This is ONLY for testing, just to see how voice sounds with the story and to test its flow. I want to hear how scenes will sound like before fully making a project about making a show or comic.

I have fully written 40 Episodes which means Season 1 is fully written. But i have 3 more seasons to write. Season 4 is a pretty important to get to, because it is pretty much a remix of the Legend ZA story, if not maybe the same. So i'm only testing how voices sound for my characters and story, but its also to train me into directing. Still if you are interested in the same role for the future, let me know later on in the testing. Also one more thing, please know that this is a PASSION project, if you are as passionate as me in making a Pokemon Fan original story, and want to bring it to life, i hope we can make something grand.

ABOUT THE SHOW-

The running working title is Pokemon ZA. It takes ideas and themes from Pokemon XYZ, Pokemon Legends ZA, and Pokemon Brick Bronze.

Kael Ronin was just ten when the world shattered around him, he was supposed to go on a Pokemon Journey like every other 10 year old... until that night. His parents, Dr. Elias and Mira Ronin, were renowned Pokémon ecologists studying the emotional and biological connections between Pokémon and humans. They believed that human empathy could alter Pokémon evolution a controversial idea that attracted the attention of Team Eclipse, a covert organization obsessed with harnessing Pokémon’s “emotional resonance” for control and weaponization. One night, their research facility burned to the ground. The Ronin parents were taken vanished without a trace. Then after 20 plus years, Kael was now 31 years old, and now with enough courage decides to take on his first ever Pokemon Journey, but he wasn't ready for what was in store for him.

    Hello everyone! I am honestly shocked by the amount of attention this project already got in the first few days. I am so grateful! Especially because its my first time doing this.


    Now enough of my yapping, this is mainly just a small announcement to say how AMAZING everyone’s audition is, but also this announcement is that i am gonna be doing Weekly updates, every Thursday I will post updates here, And I will try to keep it consistent, But also don’t expect every Thursday as i might skip a week or two. Short summary of his personality: Kael is a man of empathy and quiet strength. He believes in second chances for people, Pokémon, and even himself. He’s patient, observant, and has a naturally calming presence the kind of person others instinctively trust. And he is very cheerful, playful, and a upbeat guy who just wants what's best for everything. Wanting not just him, but for everyone around him to be happy too. But behind the compassion lies a deep fear: the fear of losing what little family he has left.

Maris is a woman of discipline and quiet resolve. She believes strength means responsibility, protecting others, holding the line, and never abusing power just because you have it.

She is cautious, intelligent, and deeply observant, always weighing consequences before she acts. To strangers, she can seem serious or distant, but beneath that composed exterior is someone profoundly caring. Maris looks after people the same way she battles: steadily, patiently, and without fanfare.

Short summary about her: Lyra is the little sister of Maris, and the youngest child in the family. Lyra is around her late teens and loves Pokemon, but most importantly her dream is to become a Pokevision star. She is super caring and a true sweet heart, always wanting to help and eager to learn.

Cypress is a reacquiring character, his role is very important for season 1's story as he will have a twist. Cypress may not be used a lot, but he is very important, so if interested in this role, please be reliable. The Pokédex is a recurring role that will appear frequently throughout the series, so reliability and consistency are very important. The voice should be fluid, clear, and easy to understand, with an upbeat and energetic tone that feels informative yet friendly. This role delivers a lot of exposition, Pokémon facts, and real-time observations, so strong diction and smooth pacing are essential.


The Pokédex should sound intelligent and helpful without feeling robotic or monotone. The ideal voice actor can switch between excitement, curiosity, urgency, and calm explanation depending on the situation. Since the Pokédex is present in many episodes, the actor must be comfortable recording regularly and maintaining a consistent voice across sessions. A passion for Pokémon and the ability to make information engaging and fun is a big plus.


This role can be done by anyone. And for reference is the Pokemon XYZ show female voice, or the Original show's male voice from Indigo League.
