Project Overview

Welcome to the casting call for MLA Entertainment's web series, Project Infinity. It is the sixth series I've produced and is my largest scale project to date. Over two years of preparation were required before casting began in 2018. Two seasons are currently planned with 25-30 minute episodes. We're already over halfway through the first season which will contain 13 episodes. Please note that the voice actors' workload is extremely light. In fact, recording only happens every couple of months or so. However, the series will take a year or two to complete so, for consistency purposes, only audition if you can stick with a long term project. I am not offering pay at this time however once the series is released, all the actors will be given a spotlight video to allow them to plug themselves and talk about their work. The series is on Youtube. It is live action in format but dolls are used for the actors. Dolls have NOTHING to do with this show other than being the actors just as puppets are used in stop motion so please don't let this be a turn off. This show's story is serious and extremely well planned so it will appeal to a large audience. The cast is incredible as well.
I am looking for not just people who have good microphones and voices but frankly, people who have real acting chops. I am looking for the best so please read the following information before going out for this project.
REQUIREMENTS
1. You must have a great quality microphone capable of handling yelling and screaming or you will not even be considered.
2. YOU MUST BE COMMITTED since this project could take around 2 years to fully complete. Remember though that recording times are sporadic and not big time commitments in the least. If you don't think you'll be voice acting in a year DO NOT waste my time by auditioning. Continuity is important to me with this series and replacing actors would take away from the project.
3. BE PUNCTUAL AND EASY TO COMMUNICATE WITH! Anyone who misses deadlines will be named and shamed within the group. I understand that life happens and I'm reasonable as long as you COMMUNICATE and let me know what's going on. I'm sick of actors vanishing out of the blue or being lazy and taking weeks and weeks to send in their lines. This WILL NOT be tolerated and will result in your replacement if the problem persists. I'm not paying you to do this, I understand, but if you agree to take on a role I expect you to honor your commitment and have responsibility because a lot is being put into this show.
4. NO TROLLS ALLOWED I don't want trouble makers or people who speak rudely with profanity in this group. I don't curse and I'm not into trashy stuff so if you are cast, let's keep it classy. I'm actually not a stick in the mud, I just don't like that stuff. Also, do not critique or harshly judge the people in this cast. It will be for me to decide what needs to be improved or not.
5. Be active on skype or email! This goes back to my third point. Each episode will take awhile to complete but when the time comes to record lines for a new episode, I expect you to get to it and meet your deadline. 
AUDITION INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS
1. READ THE CHARACTER INFO BEFORE AUDITIONING, THIS IS CRITICAL. 
2. Here's how these auditions will work. Each line will determine what I need to know about you. (1) The first line is to showcase the overall sound of your voice in a neutral delivery, (2) the second line will showcase your acting ability, and (3) the third line will showcase your ability to yell and how well your microphone tolerates yelling which is very important for this show.
3. GO FOR IT. I want you to bring everything you've got and really make the characters come alive. Great acting is essential. If I want to hear an alternate interpretation, I will inform you.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOU ARE CAST
1. If you get cast, I will ask you to add me on Skype or send a confirmation email to begin discussions. I will tell you more about your role and help you prepare for it. I won't bug you though once you've got everything sorted and a good understanding of your role. If you have Skype, you will be added to a group that will comprise of the other actors as well. 
2. You will be given your lines for the current episode.
3. Each episode takes an enormous amount of work to complete so don't think the project is dead when several weeks have passed after you've recorded. I always complete my Youtube series (this is my sixth).
STORY SUMMARY
It takes place far into the future where the world has become one big nation called the Union. The leader believes in maintaining peace and order by means of communism and terrorism. The story follows a teenager named Gun Lambton whose mother was killed by the Union.  He joins a small resistance force in hopes of confronting the guy in charge and getting revenge. That's the basic premise but there are A LOT more layers to it.

OVERVIEW: After his beloved mother was killed by Val, he became determined to get revenge. Gun is extremely emotional, unstable, and temperamental. He's almost always in a bad mood. Though deep down he's good and just wants his mother back, he can make questionable choices and is even unsure himself if he is evil or not. He's selfish, clever, and talented. He has an extreme fear of death.

  • [tense and angry] Val is responsible for the order that led to my mother's death. I don't know if there is still hope for the world or not, I don't care, but I do know this. I won't rest until the day comes that I find Val... and kill him!

  • [crying, hopeless] I don't know what I want to do now. How can I let someone like him get away with everything he's done? He's terrible... but how do I know I'm not evil too?

OVERVIEW: Her family works for Val - the show's villain. She feels her blood is cursed and thinks being part of the rebels is her only way to make up for her family's sins. She is almost always in a bad mood, but she has a great spirit. She cares about people and is determined to protect the innocent from Val's persecution. She's brave, strong, and never shy to speak her mind. She privately struggles with self hate.

OVERVIEW: She is Val's go-to woman for battling. After losing her brother in an accident, Octavia became stone cold. She completely lacks empathy for others and has no problem killing people. She can get very obsessed with her "prey" and will stop at nothing to terminate them. Somewhere deep down she has a heart, but she has convinced herself feeling nothing is best.

OVERVIEW: He is Josephine's brother and a student at Acland Academy. Charming and clever, he strives above all to please his parents - even if what they want is bad. He's brain washed and thinks what Val is doing is right. He's nosy and arrogant but deep down he just wants to be accepted and validated by his parents. Trying to meet their demands is sometimes very stressful for him, but he is determined not to fail.

OVERVIEW: The leader of the Rebels. He only goes by Morris. He is a veteran of the Great World War. Due to his painful past, he is extremely serious and stoic. His intensity and seriousness can be intimidating and scary but he's actually very caring and warm - it's just a bit difficult to see this side of him. He is dedicated to fighting for the freedom of others. 
VOICE: Deep, broody, serious, authorative.

  • [calm, serious] The name's Morris - I'm a veteran of the Great World War. I lead this little group of rebels simply because I have the most experience in military tactics.

OVERVIEW: Lars is Elise's husband. He always sees the bright side of things and never worries too much. He can be serious when he needs to be, but he usually tries to keep the atmosphere light. He's not in any way immature though. He's warm, kind, and mature but he has a playful quality that makes him seem younger than he actually is.
VOICE: Warm, deep, maybe husky, good spirited.

OVERVIEW: Val is the leader of the Union and the show's "villain." He is so calm and soft spoken that it's disturbing. He always remains calm and composed. While his colleagues are more opinionated and talkative, he sort stays in the background quietly. However, his power and authority is undeniable. He has a strong, intimidating presence. He believes the only way to maintain peace is by forcing everyone to obey his laws. He kills anyone who resists.
VOICE: Extremely calm, soft spoken, polite, mid range, smooth.

  • [very calm] I don't care if he's a child or not. I want these Rebels found and killed as soon as possible. Though they fight my hand, I will see to it that this world maintains peace and order.

OVERVIEW: He is basically Val's second in command. In ways, he's even worse than Val. His temper is terrible, and he seems more interested in power than in keeping order like Val. He says the Acland family's purpose is to serve the Union.

OVERVIEW: Her parents were killed by Val when he took over and established the Union. Annabelle has been imprisoned for most of her life now. She has a grace and nobility about her that makes everyone like her. She is very kind, intelligent, and mature. However, there's also a very girly and playful side to her. She has a youthful yet mature personality. While in prison she is very solemn and sad, but in her natural state, she is optimistic and happy.

OVERVIEW: Milo is a very intelligent student at Acland Academy and Gun's roommate. He is younger than Gun because he skipped a few grades. Milo is very upbeat and optimistic. He sees Gun as a big brother despite being treated rudely by him. He secretly wants to join the Rebels and fight against the Union.

OVERVIEW: Lettie is a student at Acland Academy. She is very pretty and even dates Gun for a time. Her personality is very girly, boy crazy, and flirtatious. She's not very smart but deep down, she has good instincts. She can be overdramatic and whiny too.

CAST TO IRISDRAGON
OVERVIEW: L.I.A. or Living Intelligence Android is a robot created by the Union for combat and other tasks. There is an entire army of these robots. They all look very similar and have the same voice and abilities. One particular L.I.A. gets involved with Gun Lambton. She will become a major character in the second season. L.I.A.'s  can fly, shoot with their hands, and communicate intelligently with humans. They lack personalities and only carry out orders.
VOICE: Extremely lifeless, calm, she never shouts DON'T ADD A ROBOT FILTER.

Dr. Calanthe Lambton

Dr. Calanthe Lambton is Gun Lambton's aunt who was supposedly killed in a laboratory accident many years ago. However, she reappears in Episode 9 of the series to the utter shock of Val Winthrop and Gun Lambton. Val, the "villain" of the series and leader of the Union, rarely shows any emotion, but the one person he is afraid of is Calanthe. This is due to the disturbing work she did in her laboratory concerning something called Infinity. Calanthe appears in 3 episodes of this first season, but in the second season, she will become a very important lead character.

VOICE: Calanthe is frighteningly intelligent. She comes across as charming and confident in what she does. She ranges from a smooth and almost flirty sound to a cackling, hyper-evil lunatic. She loves her nephew Gun and treats him like he's her own child. She may seem charming and even kind at times, but she is actually quite evil and insane. She has well intended but horribly messed up plans for the world with her scientific project - Project Infinity. Therefore, this twisted and insane quality needs to be shown in her voice when necessary. She laughs insanely from time to time as well. In summary, her voice needs to convey charm, intelligence, and insanity.

  • (charming and confident) Well, well, well, isn't this a meeting for the books? I must say, I never dreamed it would be this perfect. (then gets sweet and motherly) Hello there, my sweet Gun. I've missed you so.

  • (intelligent, dark) I honored his life by continuing his work. Together with a small group of scientists, I worked for the Kingdom of Earth's Abnormal Science department. We performed experiment after experiment with the stardust my father had collected... on plants, on animals... and even on ourselves.

  • (pleased as she fights) It's like fighting a baby!!! (maniacal laughter)

Panthea Thorald

Panthea Thorald is the captain of the Orion - a ship of rebels fighting against the Union. They team up with the existing rebels to increase strength and numbers. They're the good guys. Panthea fought decades ago in the Great World War alongside Morris. They were good friends. Personality wise, Panthea is extremely confident and good natured. She is a natural leader who never backs down and always takes good care of her followers. She is able to be a proud fighter while also being very warm and caring at the same time. She almost always has a good attitude and sees the best in everyone and every situation.

  • (confident, brave) We're not rebels. We are defenders of freedom. And now that our Princess is safe, the Union's days are numbered.
