OVERVIEW: After his beloved mother was killed by Val, he became determined to get revenge. Gun is extremely emotional, unstable, and temperamental. He's almost always in a bad mood. Though deep down he's good and just wants his mother back, he can make questionable choices and is even unsure himself if he is evil or not. He's selfish, clever, and talented. He has an extreme fear of death.

[tense and angry] Val is responsible for the order that led to my mother's death. I don't know if there is still hope for the world or not, I don't care, but I do know this. I won't rest until the day comes that I find Val... and kill him!
[crying, hopeless] I don't know what I want to do now. How can I let someone like him get away with everything he's done? He's terrible... but how do I know I'm not evil too?
[screaming and begging for his life, horrified, almost sounding crazy] Please! You can't do this!! I don't wanna die! I'm begging you! Please don't kill me!!!
OVERVIEW: Her family works for Val - the show's villain. She feels her blood is cursed and thinks being part of the rebels is her only way to make up for her family's sins. She is almost always in a bad mood, but she has a great spirit. She cares about people and is determined to protect the innocent from Val's persecution. She's brave, strong, and never shy to speak her mind. She privately struggles with self hate.

[neutral, slightly irritable] Relax. Curfew isn't until 9 on weeknights. Don't you trust me?
[holding back tears, angry at herself] My family has done things like that to so many people... all I did was sit there and watch. I'm not any better than Val himself....
[sobbing, screaming] You should've just let me die! Why did you have to save me?! The poison gas would've killed me in a few more minutes!
[dark, pleased] Ah, it looks like you have nowhere to run now. It's over. Show your faces, I'm turning you in.
[speaking bitterly from painful experience] Only fools waste their time lingering in the past. You're wasting my time. All that matters right now is finding those Rebels and killing them.
[angry, threatening] Rebel scum! There's no use resisting any longer! Surrender now!
OVERVIEW: He is Josephine's brother and a student at Acland Academy. Charming and clever, he strives above all to please his parents - even if what they want is bad. He's brain washed and thinks what Val is doing is right. He's nosy and arrogant but deep down he just wants to be accepted and validated by his parents. Trying to meet their demands is sometimes very stressful for him, but he is determined not to fail.
VOICE: Charming and clever.
[charming] I'm student faculty. It's my job to make new students here feel welcome. If there's anything you need, just let me know.
[solemn, conflicted] It's Josephine who chose to stand against me. She's the one who strayed from the path of honor. I'm an Acland, and I will serve the Union... for the sake of the future of this world.
[panicked, desperate] Father, no! I didn't mean for it go this far! Please, stop!
OVERVIEW: The leader of the Rebels. He only goes by Morris. He is a veteran of the Great World War. Due to his painful past, he is extremely serious and stoic. His intensity and seriousness can be intimidating and scary but he's actually very caring and warm - it's just a bit difficult to see this side of him. He is dedicated to fighting for the freedom of others.
VOICE: Deep, broody, serious, authorative.
[calm, serious] The name's Morris - I'm a veteran of the Great World War. I lead this little group of rebels simply because I have the most experience in military tactics.
[frustrated] I already acknowledged that. But flying a Fighter and engaging in combat are two very different things. Josephine, you're going to distract Octavia. That's it.
[very intense and threatening] Get away from my son!!! Gun, get out of here!!!
OVERVIEW: Elise is Violet's older sister. She is graceful, classy, and caring. She has a tendency to worry, but she always keeps her composure. Just about anyone can talk easily with her since she is open and welcoming. She's mature and intelligent.

[kind] Gun Lambton, it's been a long time. Please, come inside. My sister will be happy to see you.
[holding back sadness] With Randolph's information, we will have time to prepare for Annabelle's rescue. It won't be easy, but we have our best shot... thanks to him.
[intense] Violet! Get away!! You're in the line of fire!
OVERVIEW: Lars is Elise's husband. He always sees the bright side of things and never worries too much. He can be serious when he needs to be, but he usually tries to keep the atmosphere light. He's not in any way immature though. He's warm, kind, and mature but he has a playful quality that makes him seem younger than he actually is.
VOICE: Warm, deep, maybe husky, good spirited.
My Fighter's a wreck, and we lost Josephine's. I've got one big repair job in front of me.
[annoyed] Come on now, we're better than this. You've both been up all night, and you're not in your right minds. Let's talk about this in the morning.
[intense, panicked] The mission is a no-go! Octavia found me, and she's almost disabled my Fighter! I need backup!
OVERVIEW: Val is the leader of the Union and the show's "villain." He is so calm and soft spoken that it's disturbing. He always remains calm and composed. While his colleagues are more opinionated and talkative, he sort stays in the background quietly. However, his power and authority is undeniable. He has a strong, intimidating presence. He believes the only way to maintain peace is by forcing everyone to obey his laws. He kills anyone who resists.
VOICE: Extremely calm, soft spoken, polite, mid range, smooth.
[very calm] I don't care if he's a child or not. I want these Rebels found and killed as soon as possible. Though they fight my hand, I will see to it that this world maintains peace and order.
[tense, frustrated] This world will never have peace if I don't punish those who resist order. Tell me honestly, surely even you can't deny that the differences among people are what cause disorder?
[outraged] Stop, Gun! I said STOP!!!
OVERVIEW: He is basically Val's second in command. In ways, he's even worse than Val. His temper is terrible, and he seems more interested in power than in keeping order like Val. He says the Acland family's purpose is to serve the Union.
VOICE: Angry, authorative, deep.
You have committed high treason and betrayed your family. Son, I ask you to carry out her punishment. Then there is nothing more we can do for you. You have sealed your fate.
[angry, frustrated] Oh shut up, Moselle. He should be killed at once! Surely you're not just going to sit here, Val?
[infuriated] She stands against us! Who put those treacherous thoughts in your head?! The girl must die because it is worthless scum like her who make people think they can rebel against us!
OVERVIEW: Her parents were killed by Val when he took over and established the Union. Annabelle has been imprisoned for most of her life now. She has a grace and nobility about her that makes everyone like her. She is very kind, intelligent, and mature. However, there's also a very girly and playful side to her. She has a youthful yet mature personality. While in prison she is very solemn and sad, but in her natural state, she is optimistic and happy.

[calm, pensive] I was only a child when the LIA army began storming the Kingdom. Val killed my parents but spared my life. It's hard to believe I've been in this cell ever since. It's difficult to remember what life is like outside of these walls.
[crying with gratitude] Thank you, I had no idea people were coming to save me. I was ready to die and then there you all came like angels sent from heaven.
[speaking loudly to a crowd] Hear this, loud and clear! I, Princess Annabelle Siegfried of the Kingdom of Earth, declare war on the Union!
OVERVIEW: Milo is a very intelligent student at Acland Academy and Gun's roommate. He is younger than Gun because he skipped a few grades. Milo is very upbeat and optimistic. He sees Gun as a big brother despite being treated rudely by him. He secretly wants to join the Rebels and fight against the Union.
VOICE: Higher pitch, happy.
[pleasant] I'm Milo Mellinger, pleased to meet you Morris. Everyone calls me a genius around here because I skipped a few grades, but I'm not bragging.
[serious, persistent] I've thought about it every way I can, and it makes sense! I've overheard Conner talking about the Rebels and well... the three of you are always disappearing when stuff is going on. One of you is always showing up to class looking like you haven't slept in ages. Josephine even had that bandage on her arm!
[worried] But curfew is in an hour! When they come for the nightly room check, you'll be missing! You'll be in big trouble!
OVERVIEW: Lettie is a student at Acland Academy. She is very pretty and even dates Gun for a time. Her personality is very girly, boy crazy, and flirtatious. She's not very smart but deep down, she has good instincts. She can be overdramatic and whiny too.
VOICE: High and girly with a Southern/Country accent.
[calm, slightly flirtatious] There, it's just the two of us now. What was it you wanted to talk about?
[giddy, boy crazy] Wow Look at those eyes! On second thought, I guess I have some time to kill. Meryl, give us some privacy, sugar!
[sobbing melodramatically] Don't deny it! I know you're always spending time together! And now no one knows where she went and you're ignoring me in class like I don't even exist! Please don't dump me for her!!
OVERVIEW: L.I.A. or Living Intelligence Android is a robot created by the Union for combat and other tasks. There is an entire army of these robots. They all look very similar and have the same voice and abilities. One particular L.I.A. gets involved with Gun Lambton. She will become a major character in the second season. L.I.A.'s can fly, shoot with their hands, and communicate intelligently with humans. They lack personalities and only carry out orders.
VOICE: Extremely lifeless, calm, she never shouts DON'T ADD A ROBOT FILTER.
I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I am Living Intelligence Android First Generation Model 001. I am pleased to finally meet you, Gun Lambton.

OVERVIEW: There will be a ton of extras and minor characters throughout the series. Even though these characters will be smaller, you still need a good microphone that can tolerate shouted lines.

Dr. Calanthe Lambton is Gun Lambton's aunt who was supposedly killed in a laboratory accident many years ago. However, she reappears in Episode 9 of the series to the utter shock of Val Winthrop and Gun Lambton. Val, the "villain" of the series and leader of the Union, rarely shows any emotion, but the one person he is afraid of is Calanthe. This is due to the disturbing work she did in her laboratory concerning something called Infinity. Calanthe appears in 3 episodes of this first season, but in the second season, she will become a very important lead character.
VOICE: Calanthe is frighteningly intelligent. She comes across as charming and confident in what she does. She ranges from a smooth and almost flirty sound to a cackling, hyper-evil lunatic. She loves her nephew Gun and treats him like he's her own child. She may seem charming and even kind at times, but she is actually quite evil and insane. She has well intended but horribly messed up plans for the world with her scientific project - Project Infinity. Therefore, this twisted and insane quality needs to be shown in her voice when necessary. She laughs insanely from time to time as well. In summary, her voice needs to convey charm, intelligence, and insanity.

(charming and confident) Well, well, well, isn't this a meeting for the books? I must say, I never dreamed it would be this perfect. (then gets sweet and motherly) Hello there, my sweet Gun. I've missed you so.
(intelligent, dark) I honored his life by continuing his work. Together with a small group of scientists, I worked for the Kingdom of Earth's Abnormal Science department. We performed experiment after experiment with the stardust my father had collected... on plants, on animals... and even on ourselves.
(pleased as she fights) It's like fighting a baby!!! (maniacal laughter)
Panthea Thorald is the captain of the Orion - a ship of rebels fighting against the Union. They team up with the existing rebels to increase strength and numbers. They're the good guys. Panthea fought decades ago in the Great World War alongside Morris. They were good friends. Personality wise, Panthea is extremely confident and good natured. She is a natural leader who never backs down and always takes good care of her followers. She is able to be a proud fighter while also being very warm and caring at the same time. She almost always has a good attitude and sees the best in everyone and every situation.
