Primal Kingdom (Lego Series)

Primal Kingdom (Lego Series)

Project Overview

Primal Kingdom is a big budget, grounded, TV-14 LEGO stop-motion survival horror series, built around large-scale, immersive sets and driven by a suspenseful story packed with tension, mystery, and unexpected twists. 🦖🦕

“It is Christmas of 2022 in New York–When visionary physicist Teo Wang unlocks a stable method of time travel, he sells it as humanity's last chance-a way to start over in a prehistoric world untouched by modern collapse. Funded by the calculating and secretive Martin Hines, a group of twelve strangers is assembled and sent back in time with one goal: survive, study, and prepare for those who will follow.

But from the moment they arrive, something is wrong.

The ecosystem doesn't behave naturally.

Species that shouldn't coexist roam the same territory. The jungle goes silent at the wrong times. And the deeper they explore, the clearer it becomes-this world isn't just ancient... it's unstable.

As the group struggles to build a fragile camp and maintain order, personalities clash and survival instincts take over. Troy, a paleontologist, tries to make sense of a world that defies his own expertise. Kirby and Cecil emerge as steady leaders under pressure.

Daniel, a wildlife biologist, risks his life to protect others despite being out of his depth.

Across the season, the survivors must navigate not only prehistoric predators, but the consequences of human ambition and the cost of playing with time itself. Every choice carries weight. Every step forward reveals something far worse…”

Aiming for a 2028 release (6 Weekly Episodes)

Personality: Emphatic, Optimistic, Deeply earnest, Socially awkward, who matures into a self-sacrificing hero.

Character Description:

Troy is a dedicated paleontologist, used to life knocking him down—but no matter how hard it gets, he faces each day with a forced smile. Between the museum’s steady decline, Mae’s battle with cancer, and a fractured home life shaped by his father’s alcoholism and his sister’s absence at college, Troy often feels like he’s carrying more than he can handle—especially with his younger brother Greg left behind in the chaos.

He loves his family and friends deeply, but takes that love for granted, never fully realizing their value until it’s too late. As everything around him begins to fall apart and loss becomes unavoidable, Troy is forced to confront the weight of his choices.

During the expedition, surrounded by strangers in a brutal prehistoric world where survival is never guaranteed, Troy begins to change. Facing death at every turn, he learns to appreciate the people beside him, forming bonds that grow into a new kind of family—one built on survival, trust, and the understanding that any moment could be their last. (Be sure to record at least 2-3 takes)

  • “I promise I wasn’t ignoring the perimeter warning, I-I was correcting a very enthusiastic misunderstanding.” (Vernon looks somewhat amused) “I mean, what you thought was a stalking pattern was actually just herd displacement from wind direction shifts along the ridge.” (He gestures lightly toward the ground, catching his breath) “It’s not personal. The terrain just… makes everything look like it’s plotting against you.”

  • (Slowly getting up and light headed, in a high pressure situation, his voice breaks as he can barely speak) “Dad?… No… That’s not—You’re not real. I didn’t— (Then shouts) I didn’t bring you here!” (After a moment, he gets emotional) “Zoe—This isn’t real, This isn’t real, This isn’t—Stop. Stop talking like that. Please—I’m sorry!” (Then after another moment) “I was wrong to come here, And nothing I do now will change that… The only thing I now know is… That I will always love you guys…” (Troy slowly turns around, with a tear coming running down his cheek, with a few small deep breathes) “I’m sorry—“

He’s not trained for combat, not built for a world like this. But when danger comes, Daniel doesn’t run. he steps up—willing to risk his own life to protect others and guide them to safety. She’s excited, driven by the promise of discovery—of seeing prehistoric life with her own eyes, proving theories, and finding answers no one else ever could. It’s the kind of opportunity people would risk everything for.

But the reality is far from what she imagined. Like the rest of the group, Kenzie quickly learns they were never meant to be here—and that some discoveries aren’t worth the cost. This isn’t an opportunity—it’s a mistake. (Be sure to record at least 2-3 takes)

Age: Late 60s

Ethnicity: Chinese

Personality: Intelligent, Compassionate, Wise, and Oblivious to the dangers…

Character Description: Doctor and Expedition Leader.

Teo Wang is the architect behind the entire mission—the man who made time travel possible. After more than 40 years of research in theoretical physics and temporal mechanics, he finally achieved what was once thought impossible. Driven by the belief that the modern world is in irreversible decline, Teo developed a method to send people back through time using a stabilized temporal gateway.

His system, however, comes with strict limitations. Through extensive modeling, he determined that no more than twelve individuals can pass through at once—any excess mass risks destabilizing the wormhole, potentially triggering catastrophic temporal collapse or unpredictable spacetime anomalies. To maintain stability, expeditions are launched in four-month intervals.

Funded for years by Martin, Teo was given the resources to turn theory into reality. After countless failed attempts to recruit volunteers, and thousands turning the offer down, he finally assembled a group of no more than twelve. For Teo, it was the culmination of a lifetime’s work—a breakthrough that would change humanity forever. But what he created wasn’t a new beginning… It was the start of something far more dangerous. Harper Revis was always an above-average student, active and disciplined from a young age. When Teo recruited her, she wasn’t a top candidate. After countless rejections, though, he was willing to take anyone who could handle a weapon and follow instructions. Harper fit that requirement well enough.

After that incident on the high dive and losing his trunks, and emerging out of the pool like-like nothing happened, (She whistles at dog)—Hey… he didn’t even notice, acting like he wasn’t—completely naked—” (Subtle laughs while responding to her friend) “yeah.“ (Subtle laughs) “I mean, like—too bad we were sitting on the opposite end. We could’ve gotten a really good look at his pen—“ (Dog pulls really hard on the leash) “Ch-Charlee— …Charlee, There’s nothing over there—There’s nothing over there, relax…” (tries to refocus on phone) “Sorry—yeah, I’m still outside. The dog’s acting weird again. Can I call you back when I get back home?” (Then a response to her friend) “K, Thanks, I’ll talk to you then, Bye.”

Kirby Ahrens
open
Paid: Flat Rate 30 USD

Role Type: Supporting

Age: Early 30s

Accent: American

Personality: Uneasy, Empathetic, Experienced and Smart

Character Description:

Kirby doesn’t hesitate to say no when asked to be one of the twelve sent back in time to colonize the past. She sees it for what it is—a reckless, near-suicidal mission. But when her former mentor, Cecil—the hunter she spent over a decade with—chooses to go, she changes her mind, honoring an old debt and joining him.

Cautious and always alert, Kirby rarely lets her guard down. She often takes first watch, sharing shifts with the mercenaries, staying awake while the others sleep. And when it’s finally her turn to rest, sleep doesn’t come easy. The fear of not waking up, of being caught alone in a world that never stops hunting, weighs heavily on her.

She understands the reality of this place better than most—every moment is a fight to survive. Still, she holds onto the hope that another group of twelve will arrive, strengthening their chances. Deep down, though, she knows that day may never come. (Be sure to record at least 2-3 takes)

This is how our fate is determined. Okay?” (Then response to Troy) “You did do it, you did help. you have any idea?” (Then response to Troy) “Oh my god—we wouldn’t have made it to a mile without you.” (Then response to Troy) “N-No you shouldn’t—“ (Silence for a second) “No you shouldn’t.” (Then response to Troy) It is not your fault Troy. and don’t ever— “…We are a team and we said we were gonna rebuild ourselves after what happened to our camp, the people we lost here and after everything we left behind before coming here… But you know what we knew this day was gonna come. We knew we were gonna lose and struggle but we didn’t want to…” (voice cracks slightly) “And it sucks but you gotta be strong in your heart.” (Then response to Troy) “And I don’t blame you, Daniel doesn’t blame you, Kenzie doesn’t blame you, none of us blame you” “None of us are built for this world. Paid: Flat Rate 250 USD

Compensation ranges from $200–$250 per episode (20–24 pages), depending on the quality of writing, level of skill, and strength of dialogue. This rate also includes contributions beyond the script itself—such as developing plotlines, shaping character arcs, and crafting action sequences and key story moments.

I’m currently looking to bring on one additional writer for this season. At the moment, episodes are being written by myself alongside one other writer, but the team will expand as the series progresses.

Even if you’re not selected this time, you’re encouraged to audition again for future casting calls, as more writing opportunities will open up. One tip I always use: characters shouldn’t sound perfect. They interrupt each other, talk over one another, and sometimes can’t even finish a sentence—especially when they’re stressed, in shock or out of breath.

-For those who want to go the extra mile, I’ll provide 3 optional writing prompts—Be sure to write around 5-6 lines each—to help you showcase your take on the characters, dialogue and setting.

1, The group sets up camp for the first time in a valley, Troy studies the environment. Cecil and Kirby focus on securing the perimeter, As night falls, strange sounds echo through the trees—reminding them they are no longer at the top of the food chain.

2, After a sudden raptor attack forces the group to scatter, Troy, Kirby and Martin are separated from the Cecil and Kenzie as they make their way to the cliff side.

3, During a rare quiet moment at camp, the group talks—really talks—for the first time. Small talk. Fears come out. Regrets. What they left behind.
