Project Overview

Hello, we are Portside Studios and are looking for Vo auditions for an animated pilot / potential series called "Port by the Sea." 

The pilot will be 10-12 minutes long and will serve as what a typical episode would look and feel like. Unfortunately a lot about the project is currently being kept quiet and we can't go too deep into detail until a choice is made.  

However we can share a brief synopsis of the series: Two kids Port and Umi have shattered the moon to literal pieces and now must set sail into the vast ocean to collect the fallen pieces and restore what they have broken before a cataclysmic terror takes over. It's an adventure comedy that will hit a variety of emotional beats throughout the story.

We are currently seeking auditions for one of the lead roles, and we hope you will consider sending in an audition. Thank you all so much for your time and we hope to hear from some of you soon!

  • Thank You all and Sorry for closing early

    Hey, I just wanted to make an update post and thank everyone who auditioned for this role/ for the pilot. It really means the world and blew me away with how many incredibly talented people there are. I also wanted to apologize for closing the role early. There was a sooner deadline than what I anticipated and it was more so to have everything finalized by at that date. This was my first post using this site, and wasn't quite used to a few things. So if you or anyone you know of who was planning on auditioning, or who didn't have the time, please feel free to message me their reel/ audition. I will absolutely listen to it and will still be considering everyone for any future roles that may come up if the show is greenlit / or any other show for that matter. All of you had so amazing unique takes and its just blew me away. Thank you all so much again it truly means a lot and you all are extraordinarily talented! If there's anything I can also do to better help the community or for future projects, please message me and let me know! Port- 
A charismatic 10 year old boy, who's goal is to grow up to be like his father, a great fisherman, even though he's not great at it. He loves adventure and helping others as well as making friends when able.  He is optimistic however, his naive view of the world often causes trouble for him and those around him. His actions typically throw him head first into trouble. think Goku from DragonBall mixed with young Link from Windwaker. 

  • (ecstatic) I'll be the greatest fisherman someday! Just like dad was.  

  • (negotiating) Just because people say we shouldn't go in there, doesn't mean we can't! 

  • (apologetic) I'm sorry, sometimes I feel like I just get in the way of everything.
