Pokémon Legends Arceus Vocalised

(Pondering how the main character could travel in time, and is also in admiration of Sinnoh's power) "So if you fell through the space-time rift, that might mean...you traveled through time— by almighty Sinnoh's own power! Think of it! You must've been just swimming in its divine might! Well, I've got a favor to ask of you, oh amazing time traveler. Don't just study Kleavor. Quell his frenzy!"

(Scolding) "What were you thinking, doing all this yourself? Did you think I couldn't help you? Though...(calmer tone)...no one would blame you for thinking so. (feeling shameful) Not much of a leader, am I? I've never even seen almighty Sinnoh with my own eyes. (Concerned) And I failed to imagine that Lilligant might have become frenzied, too..."

(slightly fed up at this point) "All right, all right! Open your ears, shut that big mouth, and listen well, my friend! (Recites Diamond Clan motto like he's done it a thousand times) "Give not into sorrow. Give not into anger. Offer only friendship to those around you. Give not into sorrow. Give not into anger. Bring not almighty Sinnoh to sorrow. For that is when time's flow will cease." And there you have it."

(Concerned for herself and their own abilities) I suppose I'm hardly one to talk—I've had some trouble with Pokémon myself. I was hit by a Pokémon move called Thunder Shock not long ago and had to take to my bed. (worried for professor) But the professor...well... I do wonder how long he'll last."

(Upset and unimpressed) "Excuse me? You plan to appoint them to the Survey Corps? You can't just slap a badge on whoever you like without Captain Cyllene's permission!"

(showing maturity to the professor) "Th-that's blowing it out of proportion! I don't think it's appropriate for an adult to make things up just to hide their embarrassment. (quickly changing the subject) But, um, where is the captain? Wasn't she coming along with you, Professor?"

(Proudly) "Well done earning a place in our team. (Politley) My name is Anthe. I'm the local clothier."

"The professor asked that I ready you a change of clothes, so here you go! I do hope they fit."

(Polite customer service voice) "I hope you'll avail yourself of the village's humble shops!"

"Welcome to my realm, located beyond both time and space. It is well that thou art here. I am that which humans call Arceus."

"Soon thou shalt find thyself in a world strange to thee... A world inhabited by wondrous creatures that humans call “Pokémon.” ...Seek out all Pokémon, and thou shalt find me once more"

"Thou hast done well to seek out all Pokémon. Unflagging devotion to a goal shalt see it through... So hast thou proven by thine actions. Much as that ancient hero once did. He and the Pokémon that walked beside him. To see such truths proven anew, beyond the bounds of time and space, bringeth joy to me. I am glad that I chose thee to call to this world. As thou walkest onward upon thine own path... Upon thee...and upon this creation where thou now dwellest... I bestow my blessing. And I bestow upon thee a part of myself. I would walk this world together with thee. Show me how it appeareth in thine eyes."

(Full of self-loathing and shame) "My luck's run out, though...as you can most likely tell. I got chased by a Pokémon and sprained my ankle pretty bad as I was running away. It's almost like the world wants to punish me..."

(Concerned for her Pokemon, yet is downtrodden about her own abilities) "What happened, Lilligant? How'd a kindhearted Pokémon like you end up all frenzied, huh? Though it's not like I’m perfect... I hid things and lied and couldn't even keep you safe. I'm real sorry about everything..."

(bearing a lot of stress and perhaps some mental preparation for approaching others for help) "Adaman's got his hands full running our clan and all, and Ursaluna's warden wouldn't even give me the time of day... So the Galaxy Team are the only ones I could turn to about this."

(suspicious and distaste for outsiders) "Well now, aren't you awfully suspicious?" "The Wallflower's for Galaxy Team folk only. We don't have seats for outsiders. Move along!"

(revealing himself to be more adept than first thought) "I'll make myself plain. As Kamado's right hand, I'm charged with executing all the gritty deeds Kamado can't or won't do himself. I gave him my word I'd get rid of any fools that might dream of getting in the way of his plans."

(Sharing his motives with the MC, perhaps as a test to see if you are capable of bringing sense to Kamado) "Kamado and I saw our hometown burned to the ground by maddened Pokémon running amok—we lost plenty of friends and comrades that day. That's why Kamado came here to Hisui to try to build a new home where people could live free from fear. But to achieve something truly great, you sometimes have to take extreme actions."

"I suppose it means people helping each other, like how you helped retrieve the fragment. I've read this passage many, many times. But this is the first time I've truly understood what it means. Maybe this is almighty Sinnoh's guidance?"

(Dsibelief that someone would help her) "What? You went and retrieved the fragment from those bandits? Why go out of your way like that for a complete stranger like me?"

(Rejecting any help from anybody) "I don't need any help from your sort. Or the Diamond Clan, for that matter. That young lady, Arezu, offered to help, but associating with the Diamond Clan... It just won't do." "Be on your way. There is much I must do, and I'd prefer not to be distracted any further."

(Pondering and sharing her wisdom) "Remember what those ancient verses tell us... "Why is it, in days of spring, beneath the soft caress of the sun, the blossoms tremble and fall, spirits lashed by uncertainty?" (Her mood changes when confronting the player) Your days are also numbered, Galaxy fool."

(Having just kidnapped one of the characters Pokemon, she believes that they are superior to the 2 clans) "We three can't live the kind of lives we want because of narrow-minded groups like the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan. If we want to live freely in the great land of Hisui, we need to have powerful Pokémon on our side."

(Before getting ready to fight the player) I did warn you, didn't I—that I had a score to settle with the Galaxy Team? All the pain and suffering I experienced after coming up here from the Kanto region to work— I'm going to make you pay for every last slight!"

"The weird writing on it made us think the stupid thing was some kinda treasure. But it turned out to be a worthless slab of junk. Tch! All that effort for nothing!"

"Don't worry—we'll make sure this pup grows up nice 'n' strong. We'll even make him a lord for ya!"

"Y'know Abomasnow can't fight at full power in crazy heat like this! It wasn't a fair battle... We were basically goin' easy on you! In fact, how dare you make poor Abomasnow battle in such a stupidly hot place!"

"Your doubt suggest a keen intellect. I see you're not your clan's leader for nothing. Without the mind, were the rift to widen and the very world to end, would we even know it? One might even say the world–time, space, all creation–exists only because our minds are there to perceive it. Perhaps the Red Chain's purpose is to let one see creation as it truly is."

"Kindly spare me your doubts, young man. I know the old words and what they bid us do. How true they are isn't mine to know. And regardless of their truth, I am bound to pass them on. How callous of my ancestors–to leave their legends to their children without a single thought for the hardship it would cause them! But...here we are. You know your duty, and you'll do it. Won't you?"

"There are still other tremendous Pokémon in Hisui—other mysteries to be solved. Whether they are connected to Arceus, I cannot say for certain. But in searching them out, perhaps you'll stumble upon the path you seek. Let me think... There are the Pokémon of the lakes, of course. And the temple giant. The crescent moon, the volcano... And perhaps you might even return to the very beginning..."

"Heads, I win, and tails, you lose—you've got no chance in this game of fortunes. I'm the youngest, Coin, but I'm definitely not your good-luck piece."

"Let's take the mutt to our camp and get to work. No one will bother us in a place so miserably hot."

"You're the one who sent out Abomasnow, Sister. Go on, then, Toxicroak. Pour out some poison for our unwelcome guest."

(Introducing themselves to the character) "I am the captain of the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps. You may call me Cyllene. Professor Laventon has told me how you helped secure his Pokémon when they slipped his control. And now it seems he would like us to feed and house you in exchange for your ongoing labor. Hmm. You look to be 15 or so. Quite old enough to work for your keep. But we can’t simply take on a stranger who wanders in among us, without any idea of their skills or origins. Tomorrow we shall see if you can prove yourself worthy."

(The player having acheived their first rank in the Survey Corps) "That a stranger like you should fall from the sky and yet flourish among us like this is a testament to your native talent and hard work. Most people prefer it when things are simple enough to be judged on face value alone. And proving your worth by moving up through our ranks is something anyone can understand. Keep at it, and even if you did fall from the sky, people may be more willing to accept you. Working your way through the ranks will also be a help if you wish to make a life for yourself here. A higher rank will grant you access to more types of Poké Balls and greater rewards."

(near the end game, despite orders for the MC to be banished from the Village and Cyllene still has orders to follow, there is a slight bit of compassion for the MC) "Don’t die alone out there, that’s an order. I will ensure you have all you need to complete the survey the commander has tasked you with. If I might offer my advice. In this life, you will meet with both admiration and abuse from others. How others choose to view you is a choice only they can make. You cannot make it for them. All that truly matters is that you hold firm to your own values."

(Seeking to finding out MC intentions) "Answer me this, would you? On what grounds do you come here seeking to quell Lord Avalugg?" "That leads to my next question: What is wrong with him being frenzied?" "Then I have another question: Setting aside any orders, what is it your heart tells you to do?" (After his questions he is enraged to suggest that there is something wrong happening)) "Our mighty Lord of the Tundra, Avalugg, has done nothing to trouble any person or Pokémon!"

"Then if you insist on quelling Avalugg’s frenzy, you’ll want to claim some of that Eternal Ice he likes and bring it to my Lord’s seat. Good luck!"

(In great disbelief that the noble has been tamed by a child) "B-but seeing mighty Avalugg quelled—and by such a slight child…" "A child that fell from the sky…" "Is this some kind of monster in disguise?!"

(Ingo is escorting you through a cave and recalls his similar experiences) "Professor Laventon told me how you fell to this land from the sky. For my part, I simply found myself one day here in Hisui, a region whose name I'd never heard... All I could remember was my own name. I was still standing there in bafflement when the Pearl Clan came to my aid. I showed a natural affinity for taming Pokémon, which is why I eventually became a warden. But still I wonder what my true purpose is here... Ah, but now I've sidetracked us with this talk. Let's hurry onward!"

(Doubting the things he says and struggling to properly remember anything)(Talking out loud to himself) "What am I saying? Hidden moves? There are no such things in Hisui, surely... Yet I feel as though I was on the cusp of remembering something just now... Just who was I before I came to Hisui? If you fell from the sky... you come from another world altogether, most likely. (Directed to MC) Perhaps a Pokémon battle with you would jog this memory loose... Would you honor me with a battle?"

(Having recovered most of his memories, Ingo shares how Pokemon and humans cooperate in the future) "Only to say that I recalled some things after did the honor of traveling with me. Things to do with a world where I believe I lived before my memories were lost. Most people there caught Pokémon, lived with them, formed supportive partnerships with them... And then there were the Pokémon Trainers... The ones we called Pokémon Trainers were truly devoted to their craft. They always looked toward the next challenge and had Pokémon battles every chance they got, all to help themselves and their Pokémon grow. Through battle, Trainers forged bonds of understanding with their Pokémon, and with their opponents and their Pokémon, too. With everything, I suppose. If Pokémon and people work together, we can forge new paths forward. We'll be lost to history if we go on believing only Pokémon can be strong— or if we go on fearing them instead of understanding them."

(Irida's first spoekn line is in argument with Adaman) "There you go again, insisting on your false image of almighty Sinnoh as a ruler of time! My people follow the true almighty Sinnoh—the font of all creation and ruler of space!"

(Irida trying to stand true and firm, formally introduces herself to MC)"I'm Irida, leader of the Pearl Clan! Caution and foresight are my watchwords. Which is why I have trouble believing such a tale. (slight skeptical yet somehow believing MC) Could you really have passed through that rift?"

(Irida is very caring of others and shows it here) "But Lina—that is to say, Palina—she's very dear to me, no matter what anyone might say. We were both in the running to become leader of the Pearl Clan. We strove to surpass one another, but...she taught me a great deal, too." "Having said all this, I have a favor to ask of you. Please help her raise the Pokémon she looks after into a true heir to his father—the late lord!"

"So you...you want to go to Firespit Island? W-well, if you insist...then you'd probably need Basculegion's favorite snack. That should help him warm up to you." "But preparing his favorite... Oh... It's, um, more than a little difficult... More like an impossibly high hurdle... Or...really...just impossible, if I'm being honest..."

(Helping to prepare the special food, Iscan finds the process very scary) "R-right... I guess...I guess I've got to do my part, seeing how, um, determined you are...to go to that island...with Basculegion..." "Usually I, um, ask Palina if the Growlithe she takes care of can help me with this bit." "But this time, you need to help since... Well, since we're making this snack so that you'll be accepted by Basculegion." "O-once I give the signal, you...have that "dust bops" of yours use its Dark Pulse..." "Three..." "Two..." "Waugh! No! (Before battling him at the top of Mt. Coronet) "You again..." "I heard that this Red Chain of yours will "bind the world." I assume that to bind the world means to hold the world together, keeping it as it's meant to be. A welcome idea...but can I truly put my faith in such tales?" "...Perhaps you are right. But if I were to simply place my faith in this boy/girl, and that faith were to be betrayed, then how could I possibly face my people?" "Fine! Enough!" "Let fate decide what happens next! Whichever of us is stronger will prevail!" "Face me with your Pokémon, ! Today we battle in earnest!"

(In his usual commanding tone) "All of you, we must vacate this— (His tone changes into a presumed more natural formGAH! Forget the fancy talk! Book it! C'mon! We gotta make it back to the Summit Camp while we still can! We need to leave...before this other almighty Sinnoh decides it wants to fight us!" "Ya dunce! Ya won't be any use to anybody if ya die up here on this mountain!" "Whatta ya waitin' for?! I'm tellin' ya, we gotta get gone!"

"Perhaps that strange lightning the other day was almighty Sinnoh's divine power... But whatever it was, it struck my lord and left him imbued with awesome might! So I must turn you away, even if it pains me. It's too dangerous for you to meet Kleavor right now."

"I may've been defeated, but my point still stands! It's too dangerous to meet Kleavor now. The only welcome you'll get if you approach him is a flurry of devastating blows!" "Normally, I'd simply try making him an offering... A nice heaped helping of his two favorite foods, served up with respect by his loyal warden— that's me, o' course—is usually enough to please him and soothe the prickliest of moods..." "But even I, Kleavor's loyal warden, can't get close enough to give any offerings now—not with the way Kleavor is rampaging and running amok. There's nothing that an outsider like you can do."

"Some Pokémon are strongly affected by certain stones, which hold mysterious power. With the right stone, you can even evolve some Pokémon. You need look no further than Kleavor for proof of that!" "What I'm trying to say is basically this: if you and the Survey Corps want to learn all there is to know about the Pokémon of this region..." "then the stones you find throughout Hisui will be very important. There's even a tale of a stone that contains the power of creation—the very same power almighty Sinnoh used to create the universe!"

(Meeting the MC for first time) "My, my... A new face in the village? Not that it matters to me if you're new. If you're here, I assume you're prepared to be of help." "I am one of the wardens of the Diamond Clan. You may call me Mai." "I suppose you might not even know what a warden is, if you're new to Hisui..."

"You and your Pokémon fought well together! You practically acted as one with them*. Rather like the legendary hero of old... The one we tell stories of to our children." "I think you're indeed the one for the job. You see, I need someone to deal with an alpha Pokémon causing trouble upon Deertrack Heights." "It is a large, fearsome foe—like any alpha—but you'll come, won't you? To Deertrack Heights?"

"The Hisui region is a land created by almighty Sinnoh for the sake of its Pokémon. As long as your goal is to coexist and thrive together with the Pokémon, then I imagine you should also be allowed to use this land." "The great Wyrdeer has taken a liking to as well. This is a good sign." "You have my thanks for what you did today. Our clan leader will hear of how you aided us. I'll come to show my appreciation with a proper reward as soon as I can."

(Of screen, barging past someone to see Kamado) "Oh, save it! AS if I'll be stopped by the likes of you! Now, out of my way!" (Cheerful as can be, yet informal to the Commander) "Hey ho, Bossman Kamado! I thought it might've slipped your mind to send me an invite, so I took the liberty of stopping by anyway." "Well, there's your issue right there, Adaman! How exactly did you intend to discuss Electrode without me—its mighty warden—here to weigh in?" "Awww, come on! Is it ME you're trying to humiliate here or our entire clan? (Turning sour and angrily to the MC) Besides, do you really think this flimsy little noodle can quell Electrode?" "Hmph!"

"Yes, yes, I know what comes next. You want to know what pleases Lord Electrode so you can make some balms for it. Well, I'm afraid I won't be able to help you... Because I have completely forgotten what Electrode likes!" "What's the matter? Upset? Too bad anger doesn't make balms!"

(To Lian insultingly) "Yeesh... That ugly hat suits you as poorly as this important role does. I don't like this at all. I should be the one consulted for my wisdom!" (Insulted and offended) "Ex-CUSE me?! That "bumbling ball" is more than capable of zapping both of you and that ugly bug of yours all the way back to your stupidly oversized tree! (Even when it seems like she's telling someone off, she is still soft in her approach) "I held my tongue the first time, but now I must insist! Stop calling me Lina in front of everyone! And yes, I'm well aware you're our leader, Irida. How could I forget that you were the one chosen? You, who can use your Celestica Flute to summon Pokémon and have them carry you to even the farthest reaches of vast Hisui..."

"No need to worry, Iscan. I only kid. I also heard the voice of the previous lord calling out to us. It seems I wasn't the only one watching over his young pup this whole time..." "You have my heartfelt thanks for helping my dear little one, the new Lord Arcanine. I'm sorry to ask even more of you, but...please look after Irida as well."

"Don't give up! Keep those eyes open!"

"This is what happens when you go so far afield! But the Medical Corps will put you to rights."

"Wake up!" "Ohhh... Do wake up, won't you?" "Are you alive?!" "You gave me quite the shock, falling from the sky like that... But thank goodness, you seem unharmed!"

"Now, the proper technique is to take aim at the Pokémon, then let the ball fly—it's quite simple! Though far be it from me to say so, I suppose, given my own dire lack of skill in this area."

"As a wise man once said, "Trust in yourself, and you will find your way." These words are worth taking to heart! As long as we truly believe in ourselves, I'm sure we'll even complete that Pokédex of ours someday!"

"I've heard about you. You're super talented, right? I bet you're gonna be fun to play with!" "I know why you're here, too!" "You want Braviary's help so you can quell Avalugg's frenzy, don't you?" "Well, you'll get it... if you can catch me first!" "Let's go, Braviary!"

"You made it all the way up here in this cold!" "But the question is... did you catch me? Or did I let myself get caught? Hmmm?" "Oooh, and one more thing: am I even really clairvoyant?"

"You're here to try and find the secrets lurking in Snowpoint Temple, aren't you? That's what my clairvoyance told me." "No matter what we do, this door just won't seem to open..." "It sure seems to be a Pokémon, but let's see what my clairvoyance has to say..." "Yup! Definitely a Pokémon! My clairvoyance showed me a vision of it in motion!"

"You see, ever since I was young, whenever I met with something painful or heartbreaking... I couldn't help but wonder why life was so unfair. Why I was cursed to live through such things. Of course, I imagine we all go through something like that. Eventually, I chose to direct all my energy into my own natural curiosity and ambition. And what tickled my curiosity more strongly than anything were the mysteries to be found in legends, in history, in ruins... You see, I fancied that by unraveling these mysteries, I could find out how the world itself came to be–and with that knowledge, maybe even forge a new, better world!"

(overly friendly tone )"Good work, very good work indeed! You got the fragment back safe and sound! I'm well aware of Calaba's reputation--they say she's stubborn, too old-fashioned, and so on... But she's given the Pearl Clan all she has, ever since she was young. She lived her prime years here in the Hisui region, trusting in the guidance of almighty Sinnoh. I don't think it's that she hates he Diamond Clan or the Galaxy Team--rather, I think she simply loves the Pearl Clan very, very much. Anyway, I do hope you're able to calm Ursaluna's frenzy! A raging Pokémon in the area isn't good for business, I assure you."

(After having lost to MC one last time, his Giratina flees. Volo is anger and annoyed at such events) "Turning tail and running? From this puny HUMAN? Pathetic! I was the one to feed you the power you needed so that you could take on Arceus! I was the one who gave you the chance to claw open that space-time rift, driving the deity of space and time mad so that you could drag the creator out from hiding!" "How? How could this happen?! Almighty Arceus, if you have any heart within you, then tell me..." "The blood of the ancient Sinnoh people flows in my veins, does it not?! What is it, then, that you find so lacking in me?!" "Do you mean to tell me that this world doesn't need to be remade?" "I can't live with such questions... I can't bear not satisfying this ache to know!" "Answer me, then. Do you have some dream that propels you, as I've had?"

"So you're the one? That new recruit everyone's talking about?" "The name's Zisu. Captain of the Security Corps." "I see you've got some fight in you. Figured I'd stop by and give what advice I could."

"On the one hand, you can choose to deliver a move in the strong style. The move will deal more damage, but afterward it'll take longer for your Pokémon to act." "On the other hand, you can choose to unleash a move in the agile style. Such a move will have less power behind it, but your Pokémon can act more quickly afterward. In truly favorable conditions, it might even get out two moves before the opponent can act."

"Strong style moves, agile style moves, and of course, regular moves... Choose which is right for a given situation, and direct your Pokémon with a little nudge." "Oh, one more thing—if you want to teach your Pokémon some powerful moves, just let me know!"
