Pokémon Adventures: English Dub | Multiple Roles Open!

Project Overview

What is this?

A fandub of Pokémon Adventures, also known as “PokeSpe”! This is a long term project and we do plan on voicing the Manga series as much as we can, so keep that in mind! This is only the First Casting Wave, so only the characters of Arc 1 & 2 are here.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pokespe: Pokémon Adventures is a Manga Series based on the game of Pokémon - You have to catch strange creatures named Pokémon in order to complete the Pokédex, with fighting with other trainers along the way and become the Champion, the strongest trainer in your region. Unlike the Anime, the Manga is much more darker!

Requirements:

  • Be dedicated. We want voice actors who will submit work in time.

  • High Quality Mic and setup. Please state your setup in the audition.

  • Have Discord. This will be our main method of communication. If you’re casted, you will have to join our server so please put your discord handle in the audition.

  • Record multiple takes in the AABBCC format.

  • You MUST be 16 or older.

Payment:

This isn’t guaranteed but if our fandub goes incredibly well, I may open a Patreon so people could support us. If I do open a Patreon, I would split the money equally to everyone. Again, this isn’t guaranteed and I might give up on the idea.

A few final notes:

Each character doesn’t have an official voice since it is not officially dubbed. So feel free to create your own impression of how their voice would be!!     Ah, looks like I’m a little late, huh? My apologies! Anyway, let’s get right to the announcement!

    First of all, thank you all so much for 117 auditions!! Every single one of them was amazing - I was seriously impressed listening to them all?!

Red is the main character of Pokemon Adventures, he’s confident, outgoing and an talented trainer. Though he was a bit arrogant (and too impulsive) in the beginning of the story, he eventually matured. By the public, he is generally known as ”The Fighter” of Kanto’s champion.

Green is the Deuteragonist of Pokemon Adventures. He’s stoic calm, and highly analytical, however, like his game counterpart, he likes to mock Red in the beginning, serving as Red’s main rival. Blue was trained under Chuck, so he knows a lot of martial arts, and that helps him in his Pokémon battles as he acknowledges the opponent‘s weaknesses easily.

Blueis the Deuteragonist of Pokemon Adventures. She’s mischievous, teasing and cheerful. She likes to trick people and used to scam people back in the beginning of the RGB arc. As the time went on, she became a bit less of a troublemaker, but she still has the same personality.

Yellow is the main character in The Yellow arc of Pokemon Adventures. She’s sweet, kind and selfless, but she can be quite Naive. She hates when Pokémon are injured, even her opponent’s. She was foreshadowed in the RGB arc, with Red saving her. She disguised as a boy for a huge part of the story, and nobody even suspected it.

Misty is the second gym leader in Pokemon Adventures, her specialty is water-type Pokemon. She’s first seen fighting a Gyarados, but then she was quickly saved by Red (which was highly implied she started having an interest on him after that) She wants to protect all Pokemon from any harm at any cost, going as far as fighting The masked Man.

He firstly appears in the RGB arc for a short while, but he becomes an important character in the Crystal arc.
