Epithet OST Lyrical Covers
Project Overview
Seeking multiple vocalists of varying types to cover lyrical versions of the Epithet: Erased OST. These will be made into monetized lyric videos, each with custom artwork. Offering $10-$30 per role based on prominence and length. Songs are 1-3 minutes each.
GENERAL RULES:
- You may audition for as many roles as you'd like.
- Record in mono and save as a .wav file.
- One take only, unless you are doing something DRASTICALLY different for another take (e.x. singing melody for one take and harmonizing for another).
- Only include your voice, not the backing track.
- Listen to the demo provided on the character info sheet.
- Please read the character-specific rules for each role you audition for.

Mera Salamin is a sympathetic villain who suffers from chronic pain and extreme fragility due to her epithet. She wishes to be free from pain; HOWEVER, she is also unwilling to let go of the power that her epithet grants her, due to the amount of time she spent training it and hating the feeling of being powerless. Therefore, instead of taking a peaceful route of getting rid of her own epithet, she seeks to steal a second epithet from someone else that could dull her pain.
CHARACTER-SPECIFIC RULES:
- Powerful, deeper female voices are preferred, but all voices within this range are welcome to apply. I may go with a male voice if there is a particularly good audition.
- This is a deeply sad song, and the narrator is judging Mera for her actions. These should both shine through in your voice.
- There is a little more room for stylization in this song due to how spaced out the words are; however, please be aware that I am personally not fond of hyper-stylized singing (extra trills, riffs, lengthened notes, etc.) If you are going to add these things, it's best to do it in moderation.

- Here is a demo of me singing it so you place the words down correctly (if you misplace words, I'll assume you didn't listen to the demo and you will be automatically rejected): https://drive.google.com/file/d/115tWsfmTdCNviu3t-wV7y3gB_irhYod0/view?usp=sharing
Your cage is open;
There’s a door out
If only you
Could soar
Up above, choosing your route
Could finally see
The spring
It teems full of life
Right now
Why shouldn’t you
Get to be there?
But what, you think,
Might be the price out?
You fly on wings
That you stole…
Percival King is a lawful good cop who is so innocent and pure she cannot fathom that any of her coworkers wouldn't be the exact same way as her. She sees the world in black-and-white, although teaming up with conman Ramsey Murdoch helps mitigate this by proving that even criminals can have a heart of gold.
Her song, "Sunny Museum," alludes to her simple-mindedness and vaguely implies her self-sacrificial nature. It is cheery and optimistic.
CHARACTER-SPECIFIC RULES:
- All are welcome to apply, but NB-identifying voices will get a slight boon. Please include in your audition if you identify as NB.
- You may over-articulate words to a comical degree, if you want to go for an acting-heavy audition. That is how Percy speaks.

- Here is a demo of me singing it so you place the words down correctly. Apologies that this one is lower quality than the others; it was recorded on a different day with a worse mic. (If you misplace words, I'll assume you didn't listen to the demo and you will be automatically rejected): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CdQVmhC_bQStcrwv0w2PE9m8b9gZOQo6/view?usp=sharing
Another wonderful day under the sun
Like a museum display for everyone
The model citizens play and laugh and run
But an officer’s work is never done!
Sylvester Ashling is a prodigy epithet user who graduated college and became a psychologist at the age of 15. Unfortunately, he's also massively gullible and childish, and HATES being called a child.
His entire song is making fun of "smart" characters who use chess motifs but do it wrong.
CHARACTER-SPECIFIC RULES:
- I don't have a specific voice type in mind; all voices welcome to apply.
- This is most a gimmick song, with the humor derived from the lyrics. As long as you're articulate, you may mess around and have fun with it.
- This can be an extremely acting-heavy song if you want it to be. The fun of "stupid teen trying to sound smart" is more important than the quality of your singing.
- The speed of this song makes it nearly impossible to sing without taking huge breaths. You may record in multiple takes and string lines together if this is an issue for you.

For a full 13 years, you studied and pored
You adored the awards they couldn’t ignore
Send the sheep to e5 and beef to d2
Times the square root of 5 divided by blue
It’s occurring to you you don’t know the rules
‘Cuz you didn’t learn chess at medical school
But don’t worry, you’ve still got one secret tool:
They’ll believe anything you say if you just look cool!
Giovanni Potage is a self-proclaimed villain who's actually just a big sweetheart. Every teen in a 500 mile radius has a crush on him, in-universe and out. He probably wrote his own theme song.
CHARACTER-SPECIFIC RULES:
- Leaning towards a male voice, but all voices are welcome to apply.
- The lead singer should be jazzy and full of personality. This does NOT mean getting off-beat.

- Giovanni and his backup singers share a demo so you can get the feel of the whole song. You may leave a long silence when it is not your turn, or you may trim down your voice to just the singing part; either is fine.
He’s gonna steal your heart, a work of art
and drag you down to join him in crime~
With his chin, chiseled win streak, and smile that always shines!
He’s gonna shoot a wink and make you blink and suddenly you’re losing the time~
With his grooves, swankin’ moves, he’s Sexy 02!
Exactly what it says on the tin. Think of the pottery girls from Hercules— they all genuinely adore Giovanni, want to smooch him, and have fun, flirty personalities.
CHARACTER-SPECIFIC RULES:
- All female voice types are welcome to apply.
- Please send the same audition to all three Giovanni's Chorus Girl roles. This is so I can properly credit all the people I choose.
- You may harmonize if you are confident in your ability to do so. If you do, you may record one take where you are singing the normal melody and one take with the harmony.
- Do not add trills, riffs, lengthened notes, etc. You will be singing in UNISON with others.
- I may only cast one person for this role if I like how they sound solo. If this happens, it will not affect the rate.

He’s a master thief, wipe off that look of disbelief
He’s come to steal
Your precious moonlit treasures
Watch your back!
Before you know it…
He’s got a plan, he’s gonna tell you now
To spread his evil reign far and wide o’er the terrain
And with his glorious fame
To show the world evil and self-love!

Phoenica Fleecity is a 12-year-old girl, the latest in a long line of women all sharing her name. They are all magical girls who are each destined to fight the Songstress once in their lifetime— an evil witch who cannot be killed permanently, but resurrects and must continually be defeated to keep her from taking over the world.
The youngest Phoenica Fleecity, however, hasn't shown any signs of manifesting any magical powers. In fact, she might be a Mundie— a normal, magic-less person. Her song is about her being in denial about this potential fate and singing with childlike optimism that her powers WILL manifest before she must live up to her birthright and defeat the Songstress.
In these parts of the song, the Phoenica Fleecity ancestors are all singing, choir-style, to their youngest descendant. They are all powerful, determined women who have already defeated the Songstress and finished their time on Earth.
CHARACTER-SPECIFIC RULES:

- Please note there is a pause in-between verses of the demo.
Stand up, now little Phoenica
You have to prove your worth
And ward the evil from this earth
You’ll have to justify your birth
One day
Little girl
Who’s standing so tall
She’s still waiting for the day
Her destiny will call
Will she rise
Or will she…?
