Petal Crash Fandub

Project Overview

About

Petal Crash is an arcade action puzzle game made by Fairy and Friends where you slide colorful blocks and crash them into cascading combos across a wide variety of game modes! . This is a non-profit project and it's for dubbing one of the character's stories (the purple fairy, Lilibri), along with gameplay. If this get enough attention, there might be plans to dub the other character's stories. Should that happen, you will be asked to respire your role if interested. Otherwise, there will be a recasting.
This project will take place in Discord, but the finished product will be posted on YouTube.


Each character will have the following:

  • A few lines in their introductory story.
  • A few lines where they interact with another character.
  • A victory quote
  • An ideal voice range. That doesn't mean that using a new voice won't get you a part. These characters don't have a canon voice, so there's room to experiment.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older.
  • A good microphone. The lines should have little to no background noise. 
  • Put your Discord ID with your audition. I will send you a friend request as well as the script if you get casted.
  • Be able to commit to this project. If you need extra time, don't hesitate to ask for an extension.

  • PETAL CRASH DUB PREMIERES ON SUNDAY LET'S GOOOOOO

    ITS HAPPENING GAMERS The Petal Crash Fandub will be premiering this Sunday @ 1pm! It's gonna be pretty long playthrough(about 47 minutes), but hopefully y'all enjoy it through it all (and check out the game in the near future! c:) Thank you to all the voice actors for delivering their lines on time and thank you, the person following this project, for being patient.     I feel like an update is necessary. All the lines have been turned in, and all that's left is me recording the gameplay. It's been taking a while because I've been working on getting other stuff done for other projects as well as getting a good run without continues (Yosoti is not to be underestimated). The next update will be the date of the showing of Petal Crash Dub, so stay tuned!

  • Getting the Script Ready to Deliver

    Hello all! Thank you to everyone who auditioned! I'm so glad this went off as it did. Those who are casted, you will get the script soon. Just going through the script one good time to make sure everything's in order. There's alot of lines, but I'll make sure you guys have plenty of time to record them.

Lilibri is a fairy who works as an independent scholar and historian, and keeps her own library - she bears the Sacred Blossom Lily, found in a hollowed out old journal, which she now keeps in a scroll case slung over her shoulder. She is cheerful and passionate about her work, if occasionally a little bit scatter-brained. She's also described as a big nerd.

Her wish is to make the Sylvan Library the best library in all of the land.

Voice: Mid to mid-high. Kinda nerdy.

  • Myth or fact, legend or history...it's knowledge worth pursuing either way!  Maybe...I think so. I'm not sure. I've researched research all my life...when a librarian wants answers, they don't hit the road, they hit the books!

  • A-amazing! The Sacred Blossom Bird of Paradise...it's just as beautiful as my research suggested! (Excited to find the Bird of Paradise)

Strelitz  (STRE-LITZ) is a Tiefling child and self-made delinquent who constantly strives to live up to his demonic heritage, in contrast to his laid-back Tiefling parents. He holds the Sacred Blossom Bird of Paradise, his village's treasure, which he swiped for his own purposes. 

His wish is to become the Demon King of Hell...or so he claims.

Voice: Mid-high to high.

  • Heh. Heh heh. Count your curses, mortal...you just stumbled deep into a world of pain...MINE. I am STRELITZ, the Demon Prince! Tremble, for you face Hell's GREATEST WARRIOR...the heir to it's dark throne! (Monologuing)

    Hm? You want to know more about my royal family? Heh...well, my parents...they're......they're............TOTAL NORMIEEEEEEEEES!!! (slowly becomes embarrassed)

  • Ha...ha ha... I finally lost 'em... I sure hope they were chasing me, so I didn't run and hide for nothing. (Tired)

    Um, I mean, out sped them and fortify my position in this-
    Wait, what is this place...? It's- it's full of BOOKS! (Trying to look cool, then becomes shocked)

  • Heh... there's no safer hands for the Sacred Blossoms than my incredibly dangerous hands! HI-YAH! HOO-WAH!

Penny & Deony are human twins who live on their own, practicing their trade as tailors. Not knowing their birth parents, they were left on a seamstress's doorstep along with the Sacred Blossom Peony. 

Their wish is to find their parents and to give the other twin a well-deserved vacation.

The energetic sister Penny has an eye for business and fashion. She's always trying promotional stunts to attract customers.

  • My twin brother Deony...is the coolest person I know. He's so mature! Adult enough for both of us. He never complains...but I'm sure it's really stressful. Without him always staying calmed and focused, his hard work, and AMAZING sewing talent...I don't know what I'd do. (Praising her brother)

  • We'll take EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT! And if you'll take us to the exit, I'll throw in a Petal Crash for FREE! (Striking a deal)

Daize  (Pronounced DAZE) is a beastkin freelancer who seeks out a precious living, doing odd jobs in a city-state with a sharp wealth divide ruled by an aloof gentry class. His lapel pin is the Sacred Blossom Daisy, which he won in a bet. Despite suffering constant indignities, he always keeps a smile and hopes for the best, and is quick to help others in need. 

His wish is to make money. Enough money to support his people in the city.

Voice: Mid to mid-low. Kinda laid back.

  • No matter how bad things get, no matter how scarce or back-breaking the work 'round here becomes...I can't help but see the good in this place...in its people. Call me an optimist or just a sucker. I'd bet I'm both at times. Must be, to be betting in the first place!

Yosoti  (Pronounced YO-SO-TI) is a legendary centaur dancer, the latest in a long line of performers - all of whom shared the name Yosoti and wore the Sacred Blossom Forget-me-not during their performances. Confident and kind-hearted, Yosoti is adept at capturing eyes and hearts, but secretly harbors complicated feelings about their legacy. 

Their wish is to put on a performance that will never be forgotten.

The Elven Knight, Rosalia

Rosalia is an elven knight who gave an arm and an eye to protect a human kingdom. Though she was rewarded the Sacred Blossom Rose for her bravery, the kingdom she served slowly dissolved over the centuries, and is now a mere footnote in history, leaving her to contemplate her purpose alone. 

Her wish is to bring her kingdom back from ruin.

Voice: Mid to mid-low. Chivalrous.

  • I am Rosalia, last knight of the Kingdom and protector of the Royal Garden. Long have I stood vigil while its glory became ruin, waiting to challenge those who'd stain it's memory. If I must live to watch my kingdom die, then I swear on that life, I'll see it live again! (Introducing herself)

  • You there. Turn back at once. The Royal Garden is no place for a child. (alert)

    Ah, excuse me! Oh! A thousand pardons- Ah, excuse me sir. Yes, I, too, am "walkin' here". Nngh...such busy streets. My years of solitude have left me ill-prepared to handle crowds...   (confused, trying to get through a crowd)
