This is a multi-stage project, as a long-term effort to dub an entire webcomic series.
Parallect, a webcomic by Colette Woods
Is a webcomic about Angels, Demons, with an RPG Game aesthetic worked into the narrative, focused around an unconventional central protagonist. Much to the opposite of many classical stories, Parallect focuses around the Demon Overlord, Cruxia (pronounced: Krew-shee-ah). A story of a Final Boss gone Hero, if you will.
We will be focusing on dubbing sections of the comic piecemeal, in chronological order.
This promises to be an interesting challenge, that we are excited to work on, and look forward to, and we hope you can look forward to it, too!
REQUIREMENTS
- A means of high quality audio production.
This means a good microphone, and recording conditions. We don't want to hear gratuitous amounts of background hum. Our video production/audio editor is willing to work with the individual to some extent, but there are some miracles he cannot work.
- Responsive recording times.
We're not in any rush, not by a long shot, but it would be nice to get everyone's recordings in post-haste, so time can be focused on editing, and not waiting for lines to come in.
- Willingness to record in a live session on skype, or Discord.
This is actually a good touch. Live recordings lend the director the ability to mold the performance, and get a directed take out of the actor/actress a lot easier. The more available you are, the better.
- Experience
We understand that new talent is exceptionally useful, and are willing to work with new VA's on this project. But we'd prefer VA's who have an ample deal of previous experience with making Voice Over happen.

I-I'm going to kill you!! (Yelling Angrily, but shaky. Unsure of himself.)
I accept your offer. I'd give anything to fix this mess. (A little more confidence.
C'mon boys! This place is just a burning pile of garbage now!
Glad those rumors were true! These people were freakin' loaded!
" Prudish intellectual that likes to eat souls and watch others squirm by her own hands.
Cruxia has an high standard of decorum and formality which is unnatural for most demons; she like to believe she is the pinnacle of civility but occasionally gives into violent demonic tendencies. This oft happens when she interacts with those with weak constitutions and obvious insecurities. She is a master of wits, cunning, and manipulation. Cruxia has an insatiable appetite for souls. It is not required for survival but she greatly indulges in their unique flavors. "
Mature and eloquent; a very honeyed voice.
Devious. Cruxia is the main villainess, after all. When calm, and in control, should sound smooth, but when angered, or frustrated, it would/should be easy to hear her voice getting more grainy, and gravelly.
You need not worry, though. I bear no ill will. I am only here to help. After all, who do you think healed your wounds? (Calm/Explanatory tone, confident)
Such impudence. I will educate you. You see... my pusillanimous friend... only valiant heroes with steeled hearts and iron wills can approach me. You... are not one of them. (Condescending, Annoyed, Angry even.)
Come now. You don't want to let Forsden down again, do you? (Honeyed, but devious.)
