Voice Actors for Digital Card Game
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello! Thank you for checking out the posting. This casting call is for a digital collectible card game, with elements of fantasy and mythology. We're looking for people to voice the playable characters in the game. Due to the sensitive nature of the project, I can only reveal more information to those who are willing to sign an NDA. For the time being, we're just looking to get 2-3 lines for the characters, though if we like your work then we'll happily bring you on for the later stages of the project.
All roles are in the English language. For an idea of how each character should sound specifically, please check out the individual roles.
We're looking for voice actors for four major roles (you'll voice 3 lines) and 3 minor roles (you'll voice 1 line).
For your wonderful talents, we're looking to pay (INSERT AMOUNT HERE) for three lines. Payments will be made through (INSERT PAYMENT METHOD HERE). As stated before, we may come back to you later down the line to voice a whole slew of lines for your character.
DEADLINE
The deadline is November 9th. We'll inform the chosen actors a few days later. We'd like the voiced lines back by November 20th at the latest.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Communication will primarily be through Discord. If you're selected for the project then you'll be contacted by our writer, who'll organize a date for the recording session and direct you on the date of recording.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
We won't bite, and we're not too demanding. However, we do have a few conditions:
- As this is a professional project, we do require anyone auditioning to have a prosumer mic.
- Please ensure there's as little noise in the background as possible.
- From you, we'll need a .wav file containing the recorded lines.
- Please don't add any effects to your audio. Provided us with a clean, unaltered file.
- As we do plan on bringing people back later down the line, we'd like to work with people who can stick with us for a while (barring extraneous circumstances of course).

Wise. Powerful. Patient. Elas is a being who takes great care to consider any action he makes, knowing full well the ramifications a misspoken word or hasty strike could cause. When he speaks, others silence themselves to listen to him. Each sentence should hang heavy in the air. We need to feel the weight of every word. His is a commanding voice, and yet he will never be a leader. An observer, passing judgment, yet doing little to act.
[Slow, confident, weighty] Challenger. Bold of spirit. Foolish of mind. Overcoming me? Impossibility.
[Commanding, authoritative] Patience.
[Bordering on annoyance] This tests even my resolve...
A battered spirit, dedicated to duty, and divorced from love. Her speech should border on emotionless, though ring with a certain hollowness and pain. This is someone who has pushed aside emotional attachment, not out of some unwillingness to get hurt, but out of necessity. Her powers allow her to view the future, and guide it along the path she wishes, though the destination often takes her past the fallen corpses of those she would once have called friends. Tinged with sadness, yet pushed on by an unfaltering resolve.
[Emotionless, yet confident of herself] The path of destiny is set. Your defeat is certain.
[Self-motivating, with a bit of sadness breaking through] I brought this world back from the brink... I shall not falter now.
[Nearly emotionless, though maybe a tad regretful of what's about to happen] Don't challenge me. I've seen how it ends.
Powerful, yet bitter. Mellit wields terrible magic, and at a first glance seems childish and needlessly cruel. Yet that cruelty stems from past loss and false accusations. His voice is angry, beaten, and hinting at a pain never resolved. Whilst destructive and borderline mad in some instances, he respects those who hold out in the face of adversity, which can earn rare praise from this broken spirit.
[Progressively louder, facing a worthy opponent] Stand in the face of the storm. Brace against the volcanic hellfire. Prove to me your unyielding spirit!
[Confronted with an old enemy, so he's pretty pissed] No falsehoods this time? I've nothing to fear of a blind seer.
[Accusatory] Another false being, come to pass judgment? What do you know of me?
Cruel and vengeful (hence the name), Nemesis demands that those who slight another be paid back tenfold. Whilst not maddened by bloodlust, her voice is one of quiet cruelty. Not one that screams at you, but instead slips into your ear like the whispers of an assassin. Haunting and capable of hinting at all kinds of horrors without saying it out loud.
[Not at all welcoming] The city of spirits welcomes your arrival.
[Soft, subtle, yet also trying to teach someone] There's an art to vengeance. A fine brush stroke between cowardice and bloodlust.
[Like she's just found the person who killed her friend and she's about to unleash centuries worth of pain, though at the same time she's sad] For Eria (EH-RYE-AH).
Idealistic and hopeful of a better future, Princess Eve rejects the cruel isolationism of her mother and seeks to mend old wounds. Her voice is bright, and equal parts true and nervous. She doesn't quite yet possess the vocal arts of her peers, but still fights for the betterment of all people in the land.
[Arguing with her mother] We are not the sole people in these lands.
[Annoyed] [Just been told that humans deserve to die] Must you exhume the past again and again? We would commit the lessons of history to memory, yet you would dig up its festered corpse and present it for all to see.
Uxon is the brother of Nexon. A pair of necromancers who once served a Sauron-esque entity, they are the sole survivors of their clan. Uxon's voice is one of reluctance, nervousness, and yet a desperation to aid his brother in his endeavors. As he pulls the strings of the undead, so too does Nexon pull his strings.
[Nervous, surprised he actually managed to raise the dead] You are my brother's puppets now.
[Reluctant, but he's gotta do it anyway] I'm sorry... but you are worthless in death.
Cruel, malicious, and desperate to restore the past. A loyal servant of a dark being, Nexon is anxious to maintain the world he once knew. His voice is one of quiet promises and seductive whispers, sometimes buried by mighty anger that could crush any foe in his path. Yet for all his powers, it is his brother who is truly capable of stirring the dead. He hopes to use him to craft a mighty army... and bring back the one he loves.
[Mixed with quiet laughter] Let not death be an ending. It shall be my beginning.
[Annoyed] Do not deny me. Give your death a purpose. Let not your spirit languish in the dark.
