Original Character Voice Exploration - Andrew Everhart (Male Kid/Teen)
Project Overview
Original Character Voice Exploration - Andrew Everhart
This is my third project. I'm doing the Protagonist of my story this time. As I've stated on my previous projects, these are only voice explorations, however it is also true that I am going to be picking a final voice actor for each character as I did for my previous two characters. Project wise, these are listed as animations solely because I was planning on creating short clips, however my first plan is to publish my story in Royal Road in the near future. Think of this voice explorations more as a hobby for the time being as I'm curious to explore my characters' own voices. And though I say that, I am in fact planning on contacting the final voice actors again in the near future for further voice developments of the characters they were assigned, meaning that those who will end up getting the roles will be hired for small/minor voice acting projects (e.g recording a small segment from my book, reading in character) and those will be in fact paid, as I respect the time and effort that each of you is contributing to bring my characters to life. Finally, even if I end up not picking some voice actors, it is also true that I'm keeping the contacts and follow each and everyone who is contributing to any of my projects. Seeing as I have a big cast in my story, some voice actors can end up being fit to play another role which has already happened once with one of my previous projects.
Lastly, I want to say a big thank you to everyone yet again, those who came before and contributed and all those who might come after and contribute yet again.
Please enjoy!
(Edit : I had made a small mistake and mixed the voice lines (external/internal so I'm fixing it right now)

About Andrew
Voice DirectionAndrew is the protagonist of the story I'm writing. He is originally a 15 to 16 year old kid at the time of his regression. Going back around 10 years to prevent the same future, where he loses his brother, from occurring yet again. Story wise, I thought it'd be ideal to have two voice actors for Andrew. One for his actual speaking voice (during 5 - 6 years old at the debut and later on after the time skip 10 - 11 years old) and also one for his thinking voice, meaning that whenever he is thinking, the voice of his past self is going to be the one being heard. Now, in regards to Andrew as he is presented after the regression (Since little is known about his overall personality before the regression) he becomes a rather manipulative and bizarre kid, despairing too little too often at the thought of being incapable of changing the future. Additionally, he's more or less frightened internally, trying his best not to show it externally, though seeing as he has already witnessed many of the events that play on the story beforehand, he is rarely caught by surprise meaning that his overall default in conversations is a display of a weirdly immature kid as he's poorly attempting to not sound suspicious to everyone who isn't aware of his regression. Any additional information that might be needed can be provided, so do not hesitate to ask me in case you wonder about anything extra!
RecordingExternal Voice : Seeing as Andrew is just a kid (around 6 after he regresses and 10 to 11 after the time skip that follows in chapter 1 (after the prologue) he'll obviously need a voice actor who's "expertise" is in essence, Children voices. Generally speaking, I don't think that Andrew should sound any special at all other than having the actual voice of a normal 6 - 11 years old kid (Side note : Since he's only 6 for the prologue, the main focus should be on adjusting for an 10 - 11 year old voice so do not give too much attention on trying to imitate a 6 year old. Still, regarding his external voice, the only thing I'd like to hear is a more (leaning towards) high pitched voice than a deep one (which will be the main asset for his internal voice. Finally, in regards to how that high pitched voice is implemented, should be relatively easy, considering that Andrew is mostly sounding like a full-of-energy kid when he's actually speaking (even though he's mostly pretending in many of the things he's saying) so in other words, a forced speech can be ideal for his speech in this case paired with some sort of emphasis on the way he's talking about things. Any additional information can be given at any time so if you have any sort of additional questions about his External Voice, feel free to ask!
Internal Voice : I feel like that it'd be ideal for Andrew's internal voice (his thoughts in other words) to be voiced in a more mature voice. When thinking, Andrew is mostly planning out things, recalling events of the past timeline and admiring things of how they've come to be this time. Unlike his external voice in which Andrew is constantly heard either throwing minor tantrums, being bizarre and rather loud, his internal voice is characterized by his seriousness that he is incapable of producing when speaking. Now, even if I do mention that I'm imagining a deeper voice in comparison to his external voice, I still feel like he should not sound very deep as to avoid his face not matching his actual internal voice. That means that the voice can be imagined as a more calm "sophisticated" one, completely opposite to what he is sounding like when he is articulating his words in real time. I'll leave the overall voice selection ambiguous, as I'm not certain 100% like I was with my very first Project, so that you Voice Actors can have the artistic freedom to do the thing you're doing, so don't be scared to try any sort of interpretations that you think might fit in either case.
One final piece of information. There's no gender requirements for this role, seeing as it is a kid that can be voiced by anyone who's capable, so feel free to voice for ANY of the two that you like or both if you're up for it!
SubmissionMuch like the previous Project, anyone who's interested is welcome to give it a try! There's no need for a professional microphone. A quiet recording environment is appreciated, but please once more, don't let your equipment stop you from auditioning if you'd like to participate."

Internal Voice : "Hasn't this story been told before?" "If reincarnation was a thing, I would like to forget everything. The life I lived, the people I loved, even the things that made me who I was. (Context : These two lines are from the prologue, the first one is the very first line while the second one is a different one in the middle of the prologue. In the first one, Andrew is defeated and on the ground pondering about life in his last moments like a story that seems way too familiar, moments before he is sent to meet the Creator. The second line is the exact line said before he actually regresses after meeting the Creator, at a moment of acceptance where he wishes that he simply forgets every single thing that has ever occurred seeing as he had witnessed his own brother's death first-hand))
External Voice : “Milo! Are you okay?!” “Milo why are you late? Why are you jean creases up? Who is this girl?” (Context : These two lines are from different chapters and highlight mostly what Andrew is outwardly saying the majority of the times when he's actually speaking, seeing as his External Voice is used more in the book. Milo is his brother Myles whom he calls like that and even more during the second timeline, seeing as he is even more of a frightened child that doesn't want to lose his brother Myles. However, as Andrew highlights himself, he sounds peculiar/bizarre in the way he phrases things that make him sound almost way too off when he is rambling nonstop)
Internal/External Voice : “I can’t win! Even if I repeat tens of thousands of times, the outcome will remain the same! You, of all powers, are the one capable of changing outcomes… Why won’t you help me?!” (Context : Even though this one is an External Voice line, I'd like to hear it with the Internal Voice too if those who voice the Internal voice want to do so. The context in this line is that Andrew is being hysterical after realizing that there could possibly be no way of actually changing the future. Speaking to his own power which is practically a book capable of changing outcomes within a specific framework only, he lashes on it, screams at it and ultimately throws it in the ground as he's deeming it useless if it's not capable of genuinely helping him changing that future)
