Obsidian Seven (Original Anime Series)

We are Team Obsidian, a small group of creators who are looking to expand our team to create an anime webseries called Obsidian Seven. We are looking for animators, artists, voice actors, musicians, an audio engineer and an editor.
What is Obsidian Seven?
In Obsidian City, seven young men and women are chosen to become the city’s guardians every thirty years. They are granted unique supernatural abilities, and use them to keep their city and the world safe. The story follows the second generation of Obsidian City’s protectors.
Wyatt, Kacie, Reid, Rina, Tristan, Viola and Chazz have been chosen to become the new set of heroes. Over the course of the story, they gain courage, learn to accept each other and themselves, and discover the potential they had no idea lied within them.

Where will the project be distributed?
The series, along with livestreams, trailers, short videos and more, will be uploaded onto our YouTube channel.
How much will I have to commit to the project?
This will be a long-term, multi-season project. You will need to be able to make a huge commitment to the show. Production will start in January of 2021.
What is the art style of the show?
As mentioned before, we are using an anime style. But to be more specific, we are using a style similar to the one that the mobile game Project Sekai uses (look it up if you don't know what that is.)
Funding. How's that going to work?
After the team is assembled, a Patreon will be launched to build up funding. Payments will be distributed through PayPal. The amount of money you see at each role application will be the amount you'll get after each episode completion.
I want to audition as a voice actor. What are the requirements?
You must have a crystal clear microphone, meaning no fuzz, no background noise, no nothing. Strictly no voice changers. You must also be able to perform things like screaming, crying and grunting.
How will we be communicating with each other?
Discord will be our source of communication. We will all be in a server together separate from the fan server so we can update you all at once. Plus, you'll be able to get to know your crewmates better.
Is there any way I can support the show?
Join the fan Discord server, subscribe to our YouTube, and become a patron when our Patreon is launched. Also, be sure to tell your friends or anyone else you know who might be interested. Every little bit helps!

SUMMARY: Wyatt is the leader of the Obsidian Seven and the grandson of Cecil Collins, who lead the team during his term. He's very brave and passionate about what he does but doesn't take failure well and has trouble facing reality. This causes him to get really bossy and rude at times, but with the help of his grandpa and the rest of his teammates, he's growing to be a better leader and a better friend.
APPEARANCE: Wyatt has black hair with a red-orange streak, reddish-brown eyes and an athletic build.

SUMMARY: Kacie is the medic of the Seven, healing her friends and hurting her enemies. She has a bright personality, a motherly nature, and makes sure everyone around her is happy and healthy. She cares deeply for others and gets very distressed when she sees people she cares about get hurt.
APPEARANCE: Kacie has orange, curly, mid-back length hair, green eyes, freckles on her cheeks, and a slim build.

SUMMARY: Reid is the team's tech expert, and can almost always be found in the computer room. Due to a lot of bullying at a young age, Reid has trouble interacting with people, and it takes a lot for him to trust someone. Although he's not around people very much, he has a big heart and hopes to be a helping hand to those who feel powerless, like he once did.
APPEARANCE: Reid has honey blonde hair, yellow eyes and an average build. He is the shortest male Seven member.
Are you sure about this, Rina? They all seem kind of... intrusive.

ELEMENT: Water

WEAPON: Spear
SUMMARY: Rina is the brains of the team, quick to come up with strategies to save the day. She is the polar opposite of her brother, a social butterfly. Rina was and still is very popular, and has gotten many awards in both academics and swimming. This popularity got to her head and often comes off as sassy and headstrong. However, she's trying to become a better person, which is why she took the offer to be part of the Seven.
APPEARANCE: Rina has grayish-brown hair, blue eyes and an athletic build. She is the shortest Seven member.

WEAPON: Switchblades
SUMMARY: Tristan is the team's stealth, sneaking up on the enemy and attacking when they least expect it. He's a goofball, and is known for making the team laugh. But behind this, he's scared if letting his team down, as he feels as though he isn't as good enough at fighting. He uses humor as a coping mechanism, and hopes that one day he'll be able to prove himself and share a genuine laugh with his friends.
APPEARANCE: Tristan has black, wavy hair, gray eyes and an athletic build.

SUMMARY: Viola is the team’s sniper. She may not be up on the front lines, but she’s deadly from up above. Viola doesn’t show very much emotion, and rarely ever speaks. She isn’t shy, but she feels like she can’t express her emotions because it’ll make her look weak, so she bottles them up. But inside, she has a lot to say and wants to get to know her teammates and her city more.
APPEARANCE: Viola has porcelain skin, black, waist-length hair, purple eyes and a curvy build. She is the tallest female Seven member.

SUMMARY: Chazz is the powerhouse of the team. Although he uses his weapon like the others, he doesn’t need one. He can easily take someone out with his fists. Chazz has lived most of his adolescent life in an orphanage after his mother died. He is very aggressive and short-tempered, but with the right people he can be a big softie (though he doesn’t want to admit it.) He joined the Seven to avenge his mother and make sure what happened to him doesn’t happen to anyone else.
APPEARANCE: Chazz has tan skin, short blackish-brown hair, orange eyes and a muscular build. He is the tallest Seven member.

SUMMARY: Cecil is the founder and former leader of the Obsidian Seven and the grandfather of Wyatt Collins. Cecil serves as a mentor for Wyatt and his teammates, helping them better understand their abilities. He is concerned about Wyatt because of how over in his head he is about being a hero.
APPEARANCE: Cecil has gray hair, reddish-brown eyes, and is very in shape for his age.

SUMMARY: Lailah is Kacie’s adoptive sister. Her mom adopted Kacie when the girls were ten. Lailah is very gentle and very rarely gets into trouble. She’s having a hard time deciding what she wants to do with her life, if she wants to pursue criminal investigation or horseback riding. She admires Kacie for her bravery and passion for what she loves.
APPEARANCE: Lailah has dark skin, blackish-brown hair parted in two braided tails, magenta eyes and an average build.

We will be hiring four people, two male and two female, to play extra roles and background characters.
You only need to submit your demo reel.
Layout artists place the cels and backgrounds in their place. Essentially, you're making the blueprints for each cut. You will be working closely with Cammy, our storyboard artist.
