My Hero Academia Dubs and Stuff Casting Call
Project Overview
Yeah so I know I did the Blazblue Casting Call a long time ago but here's the thing no one really seemed interested in auditioning and I'm just eh idk. But I recently finished binging My Hero Academia and it has pretty much become my new favorite anime and I'm still kinda iffy on talking to people I know to do lines and I'd rather branch out and work with newer people to have more fresh start! Now you can audition regardless of whether or not you watched the show though be aware I might do scenes that contain spoilers but the main one I want to do is the Dorm scene from the second half of season 3 which doesn't have many spoilers. Even if nothing is really done it'll be nice regardless to have people I can go to if needed! Link has samples of the English voice cast for a reference and more characters will be added later!
Rules:
You should know how this goes by now good mic quality, stay dedicated the works, and I also don't want you to feel like you have to match the characters dub voices you can do an original take as long as it's fitting!
And also note that I do have some characters cast to people who agreed to voice characters for me as well as I am doing Deku, Bakugou, Todoroki, Best Jeanist and Tenya now I have a good amount of experience doing them and I've done dubs of them if you need to hear them, but most characters are up for grabs so have at it!
Also the lines in the auditions will be from the Dorm scene!
Have fun ^^

What To Do If Cast!
Hey guys, I know it's been less than 2 days but I came to say I am amazed with a lot of these auditions, you guys are really blowing me away with your performances and are honestly making it hard for me to decide when casting comes ^^, but anyways the point of this update is to specify what will happen should any of you guys be cast! Tell me your Discord Tag if your someone I haven't previously worked with and I will most likely make a Discord server for better organization! My plan is to dub scenes from MHA as well as some comic dubs and other material and I am open to suggestions you guys would have on things to dub. As for deadlines my set one is about a week to get lines done but if you need more time just let me know and we'll work something out :D! Alright that's enough updating for now, best of luck to all you guys and make sure to always go beyond PLUS ULTRA!!!!
For Mina I'm looking for a very energetic and spunky female voice in the in the mid-mid high range! She is voiced by Caitlin Glass!
Character Description:
Mina is cheerful and most of the time seen with a smile on her face. She is easily excited, but also very emotional and easily brought to tears in various situations, out of relief, out of sadness and out of frustration. However, she is still very easygoing, having no problem being completely naked in front of other people, however, she still doesn't appreciate being peeped at by Minoru Mineta.
Mina is also very sociable and eager to engage in social situations and is shown to become very upset when she is denied an opportunity to be at a gathering or event she looks forward to.
It is shown that before entering U.A., Mina would condemn bullying in middle school. She is capable of standing up for people even when she herself is scared, going as far as to put herself between her friends and a dangerous, intimidating figure in order to keep them safe, doing whatever she could to prevent the situation from escalating further.
(Flirtatious) "Hiya boys all done packing?"
(Enthusiastic) "The girls and I have been talking and...we thought it'd be a good idea to judge each other's rooms!"
(Amazed) "That cake was so delicious!"
For Denki I'm looking for a fun and energetic teenage boy voice in around the mid-mid low range! He is voiced by Kyle Phillips!
Character Description:
Denki is a friendly, social and energetic boy. While he is rather casual when interacting with others, including even antagonistic people like Katsuki Bakugo, Denki also becomes quickly distraught when put into stressful situations. He may come off as blunt and reckless sometimes, but is always well-meaning.
Denki is somewhat flirtatious towards the girls of his class (and even the ones from other classes), trying to pass himself off as a smooth talker. He is not very lucky with his approaches though, frequently getting ignored or outright rejected by everyone, although he does seem to have a steady friendship with Mina Ashido and, occasionally, Kyoka Jiro. He is also slightly mischievous, joining in pranks occasionally. Overall, it appears that Denki has an interest in looking cool in front of others, but has a shallow understanding of how to do so. As such, he gets easily influenced by what's popular at the moment.
Denki is not very academically bright, requiring help when it comes to studying. He does not appear to show much interest in classes and tests tend to make him anxious. Despite this, he can show surprising knowledge about certain areas such as literature, art and music, possessing a large vocabulary. His overall lack of wit often makes him a common victim of snark, in particular from Kyoka.
During combat situations, Denki is very quick to panic, which leads him to activate his Quirk in anticipation. He also becomes more reluctant to use his full power when there are allies close to him, being afraid of hurting them through collateral damage. When he is assured that all his allies will be safe from his powers, he becomes more confident in his fighting abilities. He does not tolerate others looking down on him or his classmates and will defend them if necessary.
When Denki exceeds his wattage limit, he loses his ability to use his Quirk and his entire personality and becomes a giggling idiot, until he turns back to normal. In this form, he is always giving thumbs up, as a way to let others know that he is fine.
(Excited) "I know we could've died, but it's kind of exciting to be living here!"
(Happy) "Yup, we're just unwinding now!"
(Nervous) "Wait? Does this mean that, they'll be checking our rooms too?"
For Yuga he has a very flamboyant teenage voice in around the mid-mid high range! He is voiced by Joel McDonald!
Character Description:
Yuga is a vain and prideful person, thinking of himself as superior to the rest of his classmates, especially in regards to his Quirk. He exhibits extremely flamboyant mannerisms, is fond of posing and likes to grab the attention of those around him, although he frequently gets ignored. His expression rarely changes from a closed smile, even while he speaks or gets hurt, and he's also prone to getting upset if interrupted or questioned. Yuga's sentences often end with a star (☆) symbol, indicating a lofty tone. He also tends to give the impression that he's French, occasionally implementing French words into his sentences. He wants people to notice him. He looks up to Izuku as a role model.
However, this persona is shown to be mostly a farce, as Yuga holds severe insecurities about his Quirk, and in reality, he doesn't see himself as above anyone else. In fact, he appears to think of himself as different from everybody, due to the "defective" Quirk he was born with. Yuga has been struggling with this since his childhood and wishes to become "normal" one day.
Yuga does possess a compassionate side and is shown to sympathize with Izuku Midoriya due to the both of them having what he perceives as highly self-harmful, uncontrollable Quirks, although the way in which he displays this sympathy initially startled Izuku. Izuku has stated that he’s never been able to read Yuga due to his unpredictable nature, although he still ended up befriending him.[2][3]
Yuga is also easily frightened by danger and prefers to hide rather than fight, though he can still help out a friend as long as he remains safe and isn't above sacrificing himself, which was seen when he attackedMr. Compress from taking Fumikage Tokoyami and Katsuki Bakugo. This brave act nearly put his life at risk but ended up saving one of his classmates from being kidnapped, which highly contrasts his usual self-centered attitude.[4]
(Energetic) "Aren't you dazzled?!"
(Excited) "No no it's not shiny it's Mag Ni Fic!"
(Enthusiastic) "Because I got style!"
For Tsuyu her voice is basically that of having a frog in her throat cause she is pretty much a frog though her voice is pretty mature sounding all things considered, for voice range I'd say mid-mid low. She is voiced by Monica Rial.
Character Description:
Tsuyu is a straightforward and laid-back individual who always says what's on her mind and what she thinks about others. She prefers to be called "Tsu", but has stated she only wants people she views as friends to refer to her as such.[1] She commonly refers to everyone with the honorific "-chan". She has proven to be very observant, as she was the first to note the similarities between Izuku and All Might's Quirks.
Tsuyu is noticeably calm and collected, being able to stay levelheaded in stressful situations. Smart and studious, Tsuyu is known for having great judgement and is rarely moved by emotion. She might disapprove rash decisions from her classmates, but she doesn't always act against said rashness, which is something she deeply regretted after the kidnapping of Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya's decision to rescue him. Recovery Girldescribes her as the "perfect pillar of emotional support".[2]
Her usual expression consists of a vacant stare, which makes reading her thoughts and emotions difficult for those around her. Tsuyu has a habit of tipping her finger against her mouth while speaking or pondering. She also says "ribbit" as a replacement for many of her single word replies.
(Confident) "I've had this hero name in mind since Kindergarten! Froppy!"
(Concerned) "Going after Bakugou would break the rules, you'd be acting more like villains, not a hero!"
(Very sad) "That's why I wanted to talk with you guys, even if I don't know how I'm feeling so we can talk and have a good time again!"
For Ojiro I'm looking for a rather normal sounding teenage voice in the mid-mid low range! He is voiced by Mike McFarland!
Character Description:
Mashirao has a very calm and noble attitude as well as a very deep sense of dignity, which prevents him from accepting results that he doesn't feel were earned with his own abilities. He is also described as a hard worker.
Along with a strong sense of dignity, Mashirao can be described as sheepish and bashful, not very often enjoying the spotlight and being easily embarrassed. However, has also been shown to be very sweet and humble, as he is a very caring and empathetic person when it comes to the emotions and well-being of other people. He is also very sensitive and soft-hearted, having his feelings be hurt very easily, such as when he is called "plain," as it upsets him to an extent.
(Embarrassed) "If we're done here can we please leave!"
( Upset) "Ugh, you think your the only one embarrassed?"
( Confused) "Doesn't he realize I use my tail to fight?"
For Sero I'd say a normal teenage voice with a slight surfer dude voice in around the mid-mid low range! He is voiced by Christopher Bevins!
Character Description:
Hanta is a very friendly person and has proven to be one of the more sociable members of Class 1-A. He can be loud and showy at times, often trying to impress his peers with his Quirk. Oftentimes, Sero is the only person to call his classmates out when they are acting crazy. He is quite humorous and often takes part in making jokes with his classmates. However, when push comes to shove, Hanta is a brave hero in training who wishes to prosper on his own while helping others do the same.
(Confused) "Are we seriously doing everyone?"
(Proud) "Hehehe yup that's me always the wild card!"
(Amazed) "So Japanese!"
For Kirishima I'm looking for a rather cool sounding, rough and energetic male voice in the mid-mid low range. He is voiced by Justin Cook!
Character Description:
Eijiro is a boisterous, outgoing guy with a fondness for the concept of manliness, often using the terms "manly" and "unmanly" to describe stuff he does or doesn't like. Those who showcase a noble, brave or determined attitude tend to emotionally move him to tears, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. Similarly, he will call out traits that are the opposite of that, such as cowardice and dirty play. He is also a big fan of Crimson Riot, a retro hero that he takes inspiration from, including his own hero name.
Eijiro is very honest and kind-hearted, with All Might praising his heroic spirit. In addition, he seems capable of making friends with most people, as he is one of the few classmates who is friends with both Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya. Eijiro is very dedicated to his friends and is even willing to break the law and the rules in order to help them, showing regret if he becomes unable to do so.
Eijiro has stated more than once that he does not think very highly of his own Hardening Quirk, thinking that it lacks the flashiness usually found in the Pro Hero scene. In fact, he will get downright offended if he finds someone with a similar Quirk.[1] Eijiro also has concerns about not having a good enough Quirk for hero work, worried that his skills could not compare to the others. A lot of this self-doubt seems to have come from an incident in Junior High, when Eijiro saw Mina stop an underclassman from being bullied and save some students from a threatening figure.[2][3] Eijiro's friends pointed out that Mina will easily become a hero due to her outgoing personality and athletic nature. After this, Eijiro thought of himself as dull and boring.[4]
Regardless, in the present, Eijiro is a more confident and hot-blooded fighter, although not to the same degree as Katsuki. However, he does not shy away from comparing himself to Katsuki, with Izuku stating that the two have managed to develop a relationship between equals. Because of this, Eijiro is notably one of the few people that Katsuki holds some respect for.
(Normal) "So you never relax do you?"
(Embarrased) "I thought this was lame so he went back into his room to sleep."
(Comfident) "I hope you understand what I was going for! Behold a den on manliness!"
For Shoji I'm looking for a very cool and calm voice in the mid-low to low range though his voice is a little higher when he talks through his limbs. He is voiced by Ian Sinclair!
Character Description:
Despite his frightening appearance, Mezo is a very friendly and gentle person who will work nicely with anyone. He is not the type to hold grudges, showing no ill will towards those that harm him unwillingly.
Mezo is quite selfless and willing to risk his life for a friend. He can be empathetic and understanding, but still shows a sense of maturity and responsibility that prevents himself from acting under emotional impulses, even if he feels regretful about it.
It is evident that he is very protective of his fellow classmates, especially if they are hurt or injured. This is shown in his scenes with Izuku Midoriya in the Forest Training Camp Arc and Tsuyu Asui in the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc.
Mezo claims to hold no desire for material needs, being fine with having few possessions of his own. This is a trait he has been carrying since childhood.
"Your not going to find anything interesting here."
"I just never understood why people like to store such useless junk!"
( Sort of enthusiastic) "The Tentacle Hero: Tentacole!"
For Aizawa I'm looking for a very stoic sounding kind of voice, that of a serious mentor in around the mid-low to low range. He is voiced by Alex Organ!
Character Description:
Shota is a very stern and mostly reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily moved by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient and exhorts very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead.[2][5]
As a teacher of high expectations, Shota is known to expel students who he feels are not suited for U.A. High. It is noteworthy that he has not expelled any students from Class 1-A yet despite being well known for doing so.[6] He can be rigid and strict when necessary, and also has little tolerance for disobedient behavior. Shota is not afraid of putting his students through rigorous training and often pushes the more unpleasant parts of Heroism so that his students can overcome their limits.
Shota has proven to be very vocal and unafraid when expressing his ideas. He has mentioned on several occasions that some of U.A.'s choices when it comes to examinations are not practical or challenging enough for real Hero hopefuls and is adamant about having certain systems used by the institution changed.[7] He also blatantly stated that he did not believe Izuku Midoriya could become a hero when they first met.[1] He is also known for lying to his students in order to manipulate them into giving their best, a technique he describes as a "logical ruse".[8]
Despite his apathetic traits, Shota genuinely cares about his students and will go to great lengths to protect them as he saved Tsuyu Asui from Tomura Shigaraki. He has also expressed belief in his students on multiple occasions and is confident that even the likes of Katsuki Bakugo would not be swayed by Villains. Recovery Girl even implied that he allowed himself to be captured by Momo Yaoyorozu during her End of Term Test in order to boost her confidence.[9]
Shota has shown on several occasions that he is not completely devoid of joy or humor. Despite his personality, he often grins whenever he is impressed by one of his students[1][9] or after he tricks them with one of his logical deceptions.[6][8]
"I guess blowing off steam is the best thing you could do I guess."
(Stern) "Their separated by gender and you'll behave yourself!"
"I'll tell you more about your first few lessons tomorrow, now get to work!"
For Hagakure I'm looking for an enthusiastic, bubbly female voice in the mid-high range! She is voiced by Felicia Angelle!
Character Description:
Toru is a bubbly, cheery, and easygoing girl that does most things with an upbeat attitude, even if manipulated to do so. She is very socially eager and appears to like shopping. Her room suggests that she likes plushies and other cute things.
She believes that taking off her clothes during battle is a tactical advantage, much to the awkwardness of those around her. That being said, she seems blissfully unaware of what it means to be invisible, such as displaying slight embarrassment at the idea of being watched undressing; a trait that shows up even when she's wearing her Hero costume, which features almost no clothing in the first place.
In general, it appears Toru's invisible body is primarily used as a source of comic relief.
(Enthusiastic) "Then we'll do your room next!"
(Disappointed) "If I found out my boyfriend had a room like this I'd dump him!"
(Excited) "Next is meeeee!! Welcome in guys! what do ya think?"
For Tokoyami I'm looking for a very stoic and calm mid-low to low voice that also has a hint of edge! He is voiced by Josh Grelle.
Character Description:
Fumikage has a reserved, serious, and focused personality. Though he does not talk very much, he has been shown directly ignoring questions or requests that seem in some way pointless (like Tenya asking him to not sit on the desk) while he talks to other people as some sort of ongoing joke. When Fumikage teams up with others, he becomes more sociable, helping his teammates out, reassuring his trust in them and thanking them for their effort.
He appears to be fond of darkness and other related concepts, sometimes coming off as a slightly dramatic, such as calling a recreational game a "mad banquet of darkness". Despite this, he is also shown to be embarrassed about his interests to a certain degree, refusing to let his classmates see his dark and gloomy room. Fumikage seems to have a certain level of belief in the concept of fate and destiny, sometimes spouting philosophical expressions.
Fumikage also seems to be aware of his own limits and understands when it's time to back down, surrendering when Katsuki Bakugo forced him into a difficult position to fight back. He takes any advice he gets seriously and uses it to try and improve on his Quirk and abilities.
(Serious) "No way!"
(Angry) "GET OUUUUUUUT!!!!!"
(Edgy) "Revelry in the dark!"
For Mineta I'm looking for a perverted young boy voice that has a lisp in around the mid high-high range! He is voiced by Brina Palencia!
Character Description:
Minoru is perverted to the point of infamy, which makes him unpopular with the girls and even some of the boys, who consider his interests and mannerisms depraved. When an opportunity to peep at the girls arises, Minoru becomes very determined to take it, although this often leads to painful results. Minoru can also be very hypocritical, criticizing others for perceived perverted behavior even if they turn out to be misunderstandings. Minoru's interest in women is one of his motivations to become a hero, alongside general popularity.
Minoru easily freaks out in moments of great stress or fear, acting in an impulsive way, crying when the situation does not look favorable and abusing his Quirk recklessly, to the point of hurting himself in the process. He is quite unashamed of those traits, openly admitting them out loud. Minoru has a habit of rubbing salt in people's wounds, both accidentally and intentionally.
Despite all of this, Minoru is shown to actually be surprisingly intelligent, able to score very high on tests, and being in the top half of Class 1-A's grades, despite being considered a slacker by the majority of the class. Additionally, he is quite capable of coming up with creative and competent strategies in order to achieve victory, as seen when he fought against Midnight. He is capable of growing from his previous experiences and becoming braver. He also seems capable of deceiving even a Pro Hero like Midnight to help succeed with his plans. He is capable of pushing through his flaws when the need arises.
Minoru has demonstrated loyalty to his classmates. To complete final exams, either he or Hanta could escape from Midnight and both would pass as a team, but after incapacitating her, Minoru took the time to drag his unconscious partner with him to escape together.
(Mesmerized) "*sniffs* Plus Ultra!"
(Shocked) "How could you have done all this when you just moved into here last night?!"
( Nervous) "Just as I suspected, Bakugou is a total sadist!"
For Sato I'm look for a sort of teenage Sylvester Stallone kind of voice in around the mid-low range.
Character Description:
Rikido has an interest in sweets and baking, the latter being a useful skill to have due to his Quirk.
He is surprisingly talented at making sweets, conquering his classmates with his food. The fact that Rikido was caught off by this overly positive reaction suggests that he himself doesn't think much of his own abilities as a confectioner.[1]
(Upset) "Pretty boys always have tricks up their sleeves!"
(Embarrassed) "Pretty boring room I know."
(A little nervous) "It hasn't been iced yet but, want some?"
For Koji I'm looking a high pitched innocent kind of voice sort of a gentle giant though he does freak out a bit. He is voiced by Greg Ayres! Sorry for only one line, he rarely talks so yeah hard to find any!
Character Description:
Contrary to his powerful and brutish appearance, Koji is a very shy and quiet person. As such, he rarely speaks and prefers using sign language to communicate with his classmates. According to Fumikage Tokoyami, he is very good at keeping secrets.
He appears to enjoy the company of animals, even owning a small rabbit as a pet. With his Quirk, Koji can interact with them in ways others can't. He also owns a few animal plushies and decorations in his room, implying that he likes cute things.
Koji suffers from Entomophobia, being deathly afraid of bugs, with the mere sight of them making him scream and run away in fear. However, Koji is capable of (reluctantly) putting this fear aside if it means helping his comrades.
(Nervous) "Jirou's ear is bleeding! She had to fight because I ran away, it's my fault!"
For Present Mic I'm looking for a very energetic and spunky adult announcer voice in the mid high-mid low range! He is voiced by Sony Strait up until the first half of Season 2 and was then voiced by Dave Trosko (they pretty much sound the same so don't worry)!
Character Description:
Hizashi maintains the persona of a radio host. He often poses when he talks and keeps a certain level of excitement or loudness regardless of the situation. His attitude made Kyoka Jiro mistake him for a simple announcer rather than an actual Pro Hero.[2]
When in front of a crowd of people, he often attempts to bring his audience up to his level by getting them involved (he sometimes refers to them as his 'listeners', even while on a live stage). He will continue to act this way regardless of the crowds' response. He also has a good people sense, knowing to restrain Shota Aizawa from a crowd of reporters or otherwise risk widespread bad publicity.
Present Mic has a great aversion to bugs, to the point where he faints when too many are in his general vicinity. He admits to much preferring urban areas to forested ones.
(Energetic) "Welcome all you U.A. Candidates! Thanks for tuning into me your school DJ! Now let me hear ya!"
(Enthusiastic)
"The great hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said... 'True heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life.' Plus Ultra!! Break a leg, everyone!!"
(Confident) "For all you students who thought the first obstacle course was easy, let's see how you feel about the second one!"
For Midnight I'm looking for a flirtatious and seductive female voice in the mid low-low range! She is voiced by Elizabeth Maxwell!
Character Description:
Nemuri is a very playful and flirtatious person with a serious and angry side to her. She gets angry whenever someone interrupts her or when they mention her age and insult her.
Nemuri has no shame for dressing or acting sexily in front of young students and appears to act on whims most of the time. When she accepted Mashirao and Nirengeki's request to resign from the tournament, she commented that their naivety turned her on. She was also very excited to see the chivalry displayed by Eijiro during the tournament when he shook Tetsutetsu's hand.
When Class 1-A needed to decide on code names for their internship, Midnight displayed her willingness to help her students by making sure they chose names that would represent themselves well. During the Final Exams, Midnight admitted to Minoru Mineta that she has a sadistic side that enjoys dominating others.
She can be impressed with those who resort to genius plans, as she was amazed by Minoru using tactical thinking to defeat her by leaving her in place before passing the gate.[2]
(Energetic and Flirtatious) "What you pick today could be your code name, so you better choose carefully unless you want to stick with something indecent!"
(Unimpressed) "I'm gonna say that one's a little too violent sounding!"
(Surprised) "To be honest choosing names is going a lot faster than I thought it would!"
For Ectoplasm I'm looking for a low calm demonic voice ( he has a filter so feel free to do one) in the mid-low to low range, he's pretty much calm most of the time so keep that in mind. He is voiced by Mike McFarland!
Character Description:
Ectoplasm is a steadfast and unrelenting hero, which has made him highly popular.[1] As a teacher, Ectoplasm desires the best from his students and isn't afraid to push them. He openly warned Fumikage and Tsuyu he would do his best to crush them during final exams. He also told them he was looking for his students to shine under pressure.[2]
(Threatening) "You may not have realized but we teachers are doing everything in our power to crush you so we aren't holding anything back!"
(Commanding) "Steal your nerves! And show me your resolve!"
( Stern) "Its quite obvious you rely too much on your tail, let's re-examine your fighting style!
For Cementos I'm looking for a deep, calm but booming voice in the low range, he sounds more like that of a mentor ! He is voiced by Chris Rager!
Character Description:
Cementoss is an often serious yet pleasant individual. He is very careful of the well being of others. He did not allow Eijiro to compromise All Might's identity [1] and also wanted to stop the match between Izuku and Shoto, noting that Izuku's injuries were serious enough to stop the bout.[2]
(Concerned) "Should I step in Midnight? Midoriya knows Recovery Girl will heal his wounds so he's recklessly hurting himself!"
(Serious) "So you've decided on a full direct assault!"
(Surprised) "Huh, offers for the first years are still coming in, lookie here!"
NOTE: LINE 1 AND 3 ARE SAID WHEN HE'S IN HIS MUSCLE FORM AND LINE 2 IS SAID IN HIS TRUE FORM!!!
For the Symbol of Peace himself when he's All Might I'm looking for that deep booming and energetic heroic voice that evokes confidence in everyone kind of like a much more heroic and smoother sounding Vegeta, for his skinny form sound much more calm and composed like that of a mentor, think Piccolo from DBZ! He is voiced by Chris Sabat!
Character Description:
All Might's hero persona appears to be derived from western superhero stereotypes. His personality is very colorful and tends to have a lot of dramatic flair. Always sporting a giant smile, All Might usually show off a bright, borderline obnoxious, can-do attitude to inspire others. He tends to be extremely friendly and amicable, due to his popularity and years in the spotlight. However, when he reverts to his sick and scrawny form, he tends to be less energetic. He loses the need to hide his worries about the state of affairs around him behind his smile. Additionally, he avoids drawing attention to himself altogether, afraid that others might learn of his current state of health.
Two personality traits always persist in All Might whether he is in his muscle form or true form: his optimism and his oafishness. He has always had faith and hopes that someone would come along, worthy enough to bear One For All. Enough so, that he was willing to pass the power onto Izuku Midoriya soon after meeting the young man. All Might admitted that he had started losing faith in his ability to protect the world until Izuku's heroism taught him that something can always be done to fight injustice.
Izuku has compared All Might's personality to their mentor Gran Torino. Both apparently have two sides and are often playing dumb. All Might is actually more intelligent than his image would suggest, but he is still sometimes outsmarted by his students. He struggles as both a teacher of Class 1-A and mentor to Izuku. He has to use a script while teaching his class and often fails to help Izuku improve his mastery over One For All. His fellow teacher, Shota Aizawa calls him an idiot on occasion and Gran Torino says that all his strength and fame has not translated well into teaching others.
While All Might is seen smiling, laughing, and cheerful most of the time, he is extremely protective of his students and his rage will show if they're in danger. He was willing to use his Quirk beyond his time limit in order to save his students from the League of Villains. In spite of his anger, he made sure his students felt safe by showcasing his trademark smile before the fight.
All Might has a fatherly attitude towards his students (Izuku in particular) and takes pride in helping better his students as heroes. He is quick to give encouraging advice to them and often says he is proud of their improvements. On several occasions, All Might has tried to help mend Katsuki's pride and his relationship with Izuku. All Might was not afraid of pushing Izuku and Katsuki during their final exams and pulled no punches because he knew he needed to do his best to teach them both a lesson. He even used a villainous persona during their battle to get his point across, which both Izuku and Katsuki described as very intimidating.[3] He also has a habit of adding "young" (少年 Shonen?) to the surname of his students whether he is speaking out loud or thinking to himself (ex. "Young Midoriya").
(Heroic and enthusiastic) "Its fine now! Why? Because I am here!"
(Serious) "You remember when I said if someone without a quirk can become a hero? Well young man, I do believe you can become a hero! "
(Powerful) "DETROIT SMAAAAAAASH!!!!"
For Endeavor I'm looking for a deep and energetic voice that gives off that feeling of power, he's a very energetic character so keep that in mind (think of a much more serious Ragna the Bloodedge that's a bit deeper being more of an adult than a late teenager) he is voiced by Patrick Seitz!
Character Description:
Enji has been described by his son as a prideful and ambitious man driven by his goal to surpass All Might. His desire to surpass the number one hero has driven him in family matters too, having "created" his children in hopes of having an offspring that could surpass All Might.[7]
This drive has followed him his entire life, and repeated failure has plagued him from a young age. He had no interest in the title or the fame of the position, instead wanting to have earned it on merit and ability.[8] This divide in ability and ambition influenced his adult life and decisions regarding his family. Some signs of regret are shown when he contemplates on how his ambition drove his family life into pressure and abuse.[9]
Endeavor constantly pushes Shoto to try and surpass both himself and All Might so he can achieve his own goal of becoming the best. This ambition can be seen in how he ignores the rest of his children and focuses only on Shoto while preventing him from interacting with his siblings.[10] He appeared proud of Shouto when he used his flame side during the U.A. Sports Festival,[11] and when he chose Endeavor's agency for workplace training.[12]
Enji has a bad temper which has been demonstrated on several occasions such as when he saw All Might's true form and shouted in rage at the number 1 hero for hiding such a state, angered that his lifelong goal seemed so pitiful.[13] This was shown again after All Might was forced into retirement and Endeavor would be given the No. 1 spot by default. He destroyed his training hall, furious he was being put into the No. 1 spot without having earned it himself.[14] Then storming off and demanding Hawks foot the bill for the meal they shared after believing he had wasted his time.[15]
Endeavor's behavior does not go unnoticed by the public, his dismissive and aggressive behavior is a selling point to his fans.[15] While he is a hero and possesses an amount of supporters, there are those in the public who recognize his less charismatic nature and comparing him to All Might brings doubt to the position of No. 1. According to Present Mic, Endeavor is usually not a sociable person. Despite this, his competence at solving crimes and defeating villains is unquestioned, with Endeavor having dedicated his life to studying and training to attain the top spot of the Hero rankings.
During Shoto's retake of the Hero License exam, Endeavor asks All Might for advice on what it means to be a Symbol of Peace, showing a rather calm expression towards the former No.1 Hero instead of dismissing him and his advice as usual.[16] After hearing All Might's response, Endeavor accepts this information, and resolves to work towards that ideal. After Shoto gets his hero license, Endeavor tells him how he is proud of his son and vows to become a proper father and a better hero, much to Shoto's happiness. He is also shown to be more respectful of Shoto's boundaries, having backed down from physical contact after Shoto knocked him away.[17]
During the Hero Ranking Ceremony Endeavor is shown to be more dedicated to the goal of becoming worthy of the No. 1 rank and the new symbol of peace.[18]
It also appears Enji has come to see the effects that his personality had on his family. He seems to want make up for it as he sent his estranged wife a flower that she liked and secretly visits her.[19] When confronted about his change from his second son, Enji remained calm in the face of the rants and simply told him that he was going to atone for his past which caught the latter off-guard. He even admitted to his daughter that he said the wrong words to Natsuo.[6]
(Serious) "It's my Shoto's duty to surpass All Might as the number 1 hero!"
(Proud and Determined) "So you've finally accepted it! Yes! Excellent!! It all starts now for you! With my blood pumping through your veins, you will surpass me... you will fulfill my ambitions!!"
(Serious and a bit Sinister) "Ah so good to see you again, All Might!"
