Project Overview
Miraculous: Shadows of Destiny expands the universe with a darker, more mature tone while keeping the heart of teamwork and hope. The story explores themes of grief, trauma, and self-doubt, with Papillombre’s powers turning emotions into dangerous illusions. It highlights diversity and representation, including LGBTQ+ undertones, cultural inclusivity, and complex friendships. While Marinette takes on a mentorship role, new heroes step into the spotlight, navigating responsibility, trust, and identity. The result is a bold yet heartfelt chapter that balances action, emotional depth, and the message that even in the shadows, light can still shine.
This is a non-profit fan project inspired by Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, which is owned by Zagtoon, Method Animation, and associated rights holders. I do not own the characters, logos, or concepts from the original series. All new characters, designs, and story ideas are original fan creations and are not part of the official Miraculous canon.
Logline:
When a new supervillain rises in Paris wielding the Butterfly Miraculous, Marinette steps into her full role as Guardian. For the first time, she entrusts the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous to two new teenage heroes, whose partnership will decide the fate of the city. Together, they must face twisted illusions, emotional battles, and the shadow of destiny itself.

An action-packed, heartfelt animated feature with themes of trust, friendship, and courage, blending the humor and heart of the original series with a darker, cinematic edge.

Supporting Roles: Diverse teens and young adults to voice new Miraculous holders, classmates, and Parisians transformed into “Phantoms.”
