MILGRAM (ミルグラム) English Casting Call
Project Overview
MILGRAM is an interactive music project created by DECO*27 and Yamanaka Takuya.
The story takes place in a mysterious prison with 10 prisoners. You experience MILGRAM through the eyes of the amnesiac prison guard Es, guided by the talking rabbit Jackalope. You will have to uncover the truth behind the prisoners' crimes, and vote whether or not they should be forgiven.
There are 3 trials in MILGRAM; each trial with a song for every prisoner, which contains hints regarding their crimes.
As such, this series is very MUSIC oriented. Though the songs aren’t our top priority at this moment, please be aware that you may need to sing in the future.
It is up to the audience to decide if the crime of each of the 10 inmates is forgivable or not. In this project, you will be voicing one of the inmates through the series MVs, voice dramas, meme posts, and song covers.
WARNING: This series contains themes regarding abuse, murder, death, blood, and violence. If you aren’t comfortable with those things, I don’t suggest auditioning.

This is an UNOFFICIAL fan project. As such, we are not officiated with the actual MILGRAM project and we are not a paid project. We are simply translating it and acting it out in English.
RULES FOR AUDITIONING:
- Must be 16+
- Must have decent audio quality + mic. Minimal background noise is fine, but no excessive peaking or constant static noise.
- Be willing to actively participate in this project. Even if you don’t know the series right now, it’d be great if you were willing to learn about it and talk about it with your fellow cast members!
- Must have discord. Most communication will occur there.
- Must be okay with the themes that this series presents
- Must be at least semi-comfortable with the idea of singing at some point.

Haruka is a timid and quiet prisoner. Although he does not speak often, when he does, he stares at the floor. The more you get to know him, the more he starts to speak.
He is mild-mannered and does not seem to dislike being in MILGRAM. He tries to converse with Es and the other prisoners, but since his communication skills are poor, he is unable to hold a proper conversation.

A young, strong-minded prisoner with fierce-looking eyes. Out of everyone in MILGRAM, he is the most impulsive and has a rough temper. He has a strong sense of justice, and will strongly oppose any wrongdoing. When talking to Es, he protested on his own rights, and demanded better living conditions.
His tendency to get his emotions overcome him and his harsh words make it easy to misunderstand his character, but he isn't a bad person, but rather a good-hearted but cowardly individual.

A bishoujo prisoner who seems to be cut off from the rest of Japan, and has an air of transparency. She appears to be indecisive but is actually very blunt with her words, and can’t accept being in the unusual situation in MILGRAM. When meeting Es, she appeared very wary. Her seemingly well upbringing suggests that she was likely born into a fortunate family. Either due to this or her high pride, when she runs into conflicts with others, she immediately starts to cry or whine.

Michael Aquino
A tall male prisoner with gentle expressions. He is considered to be one of the more senior prisoners in MILGRAM, and he is cool-headed and calm, or at least not easily perturbed. When meeting with the prison guard, realising that they were far younger than himself, he seemed to treat them like a child in an attempt to make them feel comfortable. Despite being in an unfamiliar place like MILGRAM, he still wishes for himself to be consented to capital punishment.

An ordinary prisoner who is confused and perplexed by the personalities of his fellow prisoners. Mikoto always tries to adapt to the situation. Unlike the other prisoners, Mikoto doesn't know what crime he committed and suspects that he got involved by mistake.
Due to thinking that MILGRAM is some sort of reality show, he acts normally, being friendly with the other prisoners, going as far as calling some of them by nicknames.

A woman with sharp eyes and a cool personality. Her physique is like that of a model’s. Among the females in MILGRAM who are mostly laid-back characters, she is a rare case of someone who is logical and rational. She is quick-witted, and speaks up for herself. Due to her appearance, behaviour and words, she may come off as cold, but her blunt attitude does not bear any ill will. It can be said that she observes MILGRAM Prison even more thoroughly than Es themself, she may be gathering information for exchanges
