Hello! Before I get onto the explanation, I'd like to forewarn all who will be auditioning!
This story is in a very early stage of development and is subject to change in the future. This means style, characters, format, and more could be altered after you are cast. We will not make any drastic changes.
With that said, lets get into it!
PLOT (Reading preferred, not required)
This story follows Lemon and her best friend Seal and their adventures trying to fit into a town of "demons" since they ran away from home. It doesn't sound like much, but this is because I do not want to give away too much of the story to those who do not get cast. If you are cast, the full plot overview will be given.
RULES AND REGULATIONS (Reading required)
- You're age and gender do not matter for this project, though I would prefer that you are over the age of 13 for maturity reasons. Exceptions can be made.
- You must have Discord to participate.
- Please try to express appropriate emotions when delivering your lines!
- Please do not say things like "I know I'm bad" or "I won't get the role." I will disqualify your audition completely because I don't want a team of voice acting pessimists!
- Read about the character before auditioning! If you are unsure about how to pronounce a name, I have them all listed below!
- This casting call is for the main characters, there will definitely be more calls in the future.
- PLEASE do not audition if you aren't alright with LGBTQ+ content, because yes, you will find it here.

Lemon Lenhart is the focus of the series. She is 19 years old, female, and heterosexual.
Her only family member is her father named Mott. Lemon's mother died not too long before this story begins.
Lemon is kind of neutral in most situations. She can be very playful and humorous, but is serious when she needs to be... which in her eyes is most of the time. She lives in a small village and her only friend is a boy named Seal. They've been friends since they were very young, and get along, despite their opposite personalities.
Her voice should sound about her age. She usually has a soft tone paired with a medium pitch.
(Surprised to find that Seal has followed her, she is slightly panicked.)
"Seal?! Why are you here? And... why are you dressed like that?"
(Enjoying her time, proud of Seal for expressing his thoughts.)
"(Laughs) Seal, I really wish I could see this side of you more!"
(Relieved, tired).
"Whew! That was... way too close."
Seal is the best friend of Lemon. He is 18 years old, male, and bisexual.
Seal comes from the richest family in his home-town. He has 2 brothers and 3 sisters, but he is the oldest.
He doesn't like his pampered life and has always wished his parents would let him do things like climb trees and play in the mud. He gets nervous very easily, but if Lemon can do it, he believes that he can too.
I imagine his voice sounding slightly younger than his age, maybe with a high sounding pitch. He talks in a somewhat elegant way, but don't overdo it!
(Worried about walking through the marsh.)
"Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean... what if my parents were to see? My clothes will be ruined..."
(Admitting, sad, slightly confident towards the end.)
"I followed you because... because I don't like it there either. You're the only person keeping me going, and I'm not gonna let you leave alone."
(Introducing, friendly.)
"My name is Seal Emilie! It's... great to meet you."
(CHECK NAME PRONOUNCIATIONS)
Henny-Willy is a lead character that appears later in the show. They are 13, non-binary, and asexual. They are a demon.
Hen is a bit of an outcast in their town. Unlike others, Hen's parents were demons, so they were born a demon. They are the only one in the town who is like this.
Hen is a very bubbly young character. They look for fun and mischief in almost any situation. Hen can also be very excitable.
Hen's voice should sounds more leaning to a young male voice, but still should sound like it was done by a feminine person. Hen has intense emotions, so try to portray that if possible!
(Talking quickly, happy, excited.)
"Hey! My name is Henny-Willy, but that is a lot, so call me Hen!"
(Confused, a bit disappointed.)
"Huh? Where are you guys going so quickly?"
(Explaining, friendly.)
"If you guys really want to blend in, you're going to have to look like us, and hide your human features!"
Clancy is the main antagonist. He is 28 years old, male, and pansexual. He is a demon.
Clik is in charge of the demon town, and basically serves as their ruler. He has a husband named Fiago who takes care of things he doesn't want to or can't.
Clancy is pretty self-centered. He does what's best for him and Fiago, not the people of the town.
Clancy should have a smooth voice, and I highly prefer that he has a Northern European accent (Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, etc.)
(Talking to Fiago, bored.)
"Oh come on dear... just take a rest for once in your life."
(Mocking, rude.)
"(Laugh) And I was supposed to just- stop because of you? A nobody?"
Fiago Clik is 26 years old, male, and homosexual. He is also a ferret/demon hybrid.
He is married to Clancy Clik and helps him when he needs it. Fiago is pretty much the only person who is suspicious of Lemon and Seal. He attempts to report them, but Clancy blows it off.
Fiago tries his absolute best to be respective and loyal to all, unless he believes that they are up to no good.
Fiago should have a somewhat deep and mature voice. He doesn't like showing too much emotion when he speaks, but when you try out for him, try to make him sound like he's alive still! Haha
(Serious, suspecting.)
"Hey, can you tell me a bit about those kids who were just here?"
(Trying to make Clancy stop fooling around.)
"Clancy, would you please listen to me? This is important."
Mott is 39 years old, male, and heterosexual.
Mott is Lemons father. He mostly appears in the beginning and scattered through the rest.
Ever since his wife's death, he has been working very hard to make enough money to get by. This means he doesn't have much time to spend with his daughter, Lemon.
His voice should sound soft and deep. He almost always talks quietly.
(Attempting to convince his daughter of a better situation, obviously tired.)
"Lem... things are going to get better soon. As soon as spring comes we can open up the shop and we can spend lots of time together!"
(He refers to Lemon as "Lem")
(Calm, asking Lemon.)
"Do you... want me to bring you anything tonight?"
