Midnight Brew | A Creepypasta Parody
Project Overview

Welcome to the casting call for Midnight Brew, an upcoming animated Creepypasta parody series and the official precursor to The Crying Child universe.
This project holds immense personal weight. Originally, it was created by my late co-writer and dear friend, Beau Taipari. Following his passing, I stepped in to direct and produce the series to ensure his incredible vision comes to life. Beau's ultimate goal was to revive the fun, chaotic golden age of the Creepypasta fandom from 2010 to 2016. We are currently looking for passionate animators, artists, composers, and voice actors to help us honor his memory and finish what he started.
The Taipari Universe is a massive, loving parody of the internet horror stories we all grew up with. We are fully integrating major icons like Jeff the Killer and Eyeless Jack, beloved crossover characters like Masky and Hoodie, lesser-known figures like Daisy White, and a few original characters (OCs). To capture that nostalgic magic, our art direction draws heavy inspiration from the classic looks of these established characters, but with a unique twist. The voice actors for each character will actually help guide their final designs. While they will keep their recognizable traits, these personalized changes will give everyone a distinct look that fits both the chaotic comedy of Midnight Brew and the much more serious tone of The Crying Child series. The story itself centers around a cafe and its massive hidden basement known as The Residence, where up to 28 different characters live together under one roof.
Because of our huge cast, the narrative relies on a rotating focus between different groups so every single character gets a chance to shine in the spotlight. Right now, we are producing an expanded 15- to 20-minute pilot episode for YouTube. The script is intentionally paced to showcase the main locations and ensure every character gets at least a line or two of dialogue. Once the pilot premieres, our next step is launching a Kickstarter campaign to properly fund our cast and crew to elevate the production quality of the entire series.
We are currently building our core art, animation, and music design teams. We are also casting for a few remaining major voice roles, including Jenny, Kate the Chaser, and Ani the Wight. If you are ready to help us bring this universe to life and honor an amazing creator's legacy, we would love to see what you can do.
Voice Actor

Voice Type: Young adult female voice; soft and airy, but capable of a deadpan, exhausted delivery.
Accent: Neutral with a slightly gentle tone preferred.
Character Description
Ani is kind, emotionally open, and deeply empathetic. She starts bright, supportive, and eager to please everyone around her. She has a fragile innocence and just wants to find genuine connection and validation. However, in the chaotic and ridiculous environment of Midnight Brew, her sweet nature is constantly tested.
She is trying her hardest to maintain her bright optimism while dealing with demanding customers, the summer heat, and a basement full of chaotic roommates.
It's way too warm out here. If one more customer asks me to chill their iced coffee with my bare hands, I'm going to freeze their vocal cords.

Voice Actor
Voice Type: Medium female voice; intelligent, warm, and approachable on the surface, with an undercurrent of calculation and obsession.
Accent: Neutral English accent preferred, though any clear accent is welcome.
Character Description
Jenny is the kind of person who seems harmless at first.
Friendly, curious, and academically driven, she comes across as a smart college student with a passion for mythology and the occult. She has a natural warmth that makes people trust her easily. But beneath that welcoming exterior lies a far more complicated truth.
Whether driven by ambition, obsession, or misguided belief, Jenny becomes entangled in forces beyond her control. Her fascination with ancient myths and forbidden knowledge leads her to manipulate others, even as she convinces herself that her actions serve a greater purpose.
The actor should balance two sides of Jenny:
- A genuine, friendly, and intelligent young woman.
- A colder, more calculating figure willing to use others to achieve her goals.

Character Description
Kate is a survivor operating on constant adrenaline and extreme paranoia. Heavily tied to the Slender Man mythos as a proxy, she is jittery, hyper-vigilant, and fiercely protective of her territory. In the chaotic environment of Midnight Brew, her survivalist instincts and intense anxiety manifest as aggressive customer service and an inability to relax.
The actor should balance two sides of Kate:
A high-strung, paranoid survivalist constantly on edge.
Someone trying and failing to act like a normal, functioning librarian.
Shh! Keep your voices down! The archives require absolute, complete silence.
Close all the windows and doors. Just... don't let him in.

Animator
We are looking for passionate 2D animators to bring this massive cast to life. You will be responsible for balancing the snappy, comedic timing required for a parody series while maintaining high-quality, fluid movement. Experience with character acting and lip-syncing is a huge plus since our narrative is very dialogue-heavy.
