Mega Man Zero series fan dub
Project Overview
Hey everyone, this is my first project, that I'm trying to cast for rather than strictly voiced, so I'm learning as I go. As the name of the project says, this is an attempt at a Mega Man Zero series fan dub. For now it'll be just the one episode to try and see how much interest it gets, I don't want everyone to put in a ton of work only for the idea to not get much traction. The plan is to eventually voice the entirety of the Mega Man Zero series and perhaps beyond, but again for not it's starting small to not needlessly get everyone's hopes up. Also, if we do cover the whole Zero series I would like to have everyone casted continue with those roles for the whole project, as long as everyone is willing. For those unfamiliar, the Mega Man Zero series takes place roughly 100 years after the Mega Man X series and the world is in a post apocalyptic state, after an event known as the Elf Wars where the ruling government, Neo Arcadia, which is supposed to be a safe haven for humans and reploids is trying to put down any they deem as Mavericks. The story focuses on one such group of "Mavericks" known as the resistance, and to try and survive they turn their hopes to the legend of a Legendary Red Reploid who was said to exist a century ago, known as Zero. For now I won't say more to keep certain things for as the series unfolds, but if you did want more information for either the Zero series or the Mega Man games leading up this it, I'll put a link below to a summary. You will notice that in the roles list Zero is missing, and that's because I already have, for many years, had an idea in mind for how I want Zero to sound, and also because I plan on voicing a character in this project and because I'd rather get frustrated with just myself if I don't do the performance right, I'll be voicing Zero.
For any questions about this please feel free to reach out and I'll answer them as best as I can. Also, please include your discord, as I'll be using that to talk to everyone once the castings have been made.

Not much to say about this character but you're just giving a recap of the prior games' events, at the beginning of the game. (Will be asked, if comfortable for narrating Zero 2 as well)

The legendary Reploid Zero awoke from a long slumber...
With Ciel's Resistance defeated Copy X, the ruler of Neo Arcadia.
The terror of the Neo Arcadian regime ended, but the energy shortage remained a constant problem.
Ciel devoted herself to researching new forms of energy.
Elpizo became the newly appointed Resistance leader.
However, overcome by his desire for power, Elpizo awakened the Dark Elf
whose magic had once nearly destroyed the world.
Elpizo, thirsting for the power of the Dark Elf, lost sight of his true duty,
and was finally defeated after a fierce battle.
However, the Dark Elf fled, her destination unknown.
The battle over the Dark Elf had only just begun
Background/Personality
Ciel is a gentle, kindhearted person who is always concerned about the welfare of others. She has an issue with insecurities as a result of Neo Arcadia's pressure on the Resistance, but Zero's continued support gives her the motivation to move forward. She cares greatly about Zero and often regrets requesting his help for dangerous missions. She is also close to Alouette, having named the girl and given her the stuffed animal she is always carrying.
Despite her age, Ciel is a genius scientist, already capable of creating a replica of X merely by observing the methods used to create the Four Guardians. Her study of Cyber-elves also allows her to develop a new energy source in the Ciel System, an important discovery that starts a new age in the field of energy research. Ciel believes in solving problems not through fighting, but through the power of science; she can be very dedicated to her research, to the point of staying up late. Ciel also has an emphatic connection with Cyber-elves, and illustrations often depict her alongside them in order to reflect this. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 1-4)
You may be asked to sing in the future, but not required for the audition. It just really depends if I end up wanting to try a cover of this song here. Also, while it says cover, for those unfamiliar, the woman singing actually did sing the song in Mega Man Zero 4 (so basically did voice Ciel for this one scene) and is this just the newer take on it when they released the Mega Man Zero/Zx Legacy collection 6 years ago. It's also one of the few fully voiced parts of the game and don't feel pressured to use her performance as vocal reference. https://youtu.be/AY47KMNs4SI?is=DHjiVzkL_lXed5j_
One final note the song, linked above, is played right before Ciel's third listed line, if it helps get a better feeling for the intended way she would be feeling when saying it.

Zero! Ah, what a relief! I was so worried about you...
I know you're not worried about a thing, but...Even if your body is a copy... As long as your heart is your own, you are Zero. The one and only, Zero...
(Emotional just was crying before this, so while you don't have to cry while reading this line emotional vulnerability and occasional breaking of the voice is alright)
Zero... You believed in us... Now it's our turn to show you that your faith in us was not misplaced... Watch Zero... I'll make this world a better place... One where humans and Reploids can walk hand in hand, living in peace... Just come back someday... I... I believe in you!
Among the many unnamed Reploids of the Resistance. These two (Resistance Soldier male 1 and 2) in particular are male, however there are some female ones in different scenes and games. Since there are so many the option to double up with any Resistance Soldier and your main role will be open.

Soldier 1: It sure is quiet... There haven't been many Neo Arcadian attacks lately. Things are almost too peaceful now...
Soldier 1: Get down! Neo Arcadians!

Soldier 2: Ms. Ciel completed her research on the new energy... And if it solves the energy crisis, Neo Arcadia won't have a reason to fight us anymore
Soldier 2: Ms. Ciel, look out!
One of the Four Guardians of Master X
Originally, Harpuia was a stubborn and loyal follower of X and later his duplicate Copy X. He was proud to serve such a heroic leader and fulfilled any task given to him with absolute obedience and without any hesitation. However, things began to change when he suffered his first defeat in decades at the hands of Zero. His pride fell down to Earth and he slowly began to realize that battles couldn't be won if one didn't have the will to truly do so.
Harpuia matured during the course of the story, becoming more and more like the real X in terms of character and determination, sharing the same opinion that humans and Reploids in fact can live in peaceful coexistence, but will still destroy every Reploid who tries to threaten humanity. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 1-3)

You must be Zero. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Harpuia, one of the four Guardians of master X. Such foolish behavior for a legendary hero to side with Mavericks... You shall repent and atone for your sins, Zero
Zero... I don't think that justice is destroying Resistance forces. But, as long as they try to disobey humans, destroying them is my goal
I am a warrior, born to protect humans. I am a proud warrior of Neo Arcadia! I don't need any help! Even if my body should fall into ruin... I will still gladly fight for humanity!
One of the Four Guardians of Master X
Fefnir loves battle, and he gets disappointed upon being told to step back. Like the other Guardians, he is unquestioningly loyal to "Master X", though he may not be quite as fervent in this loyalty as Phantom was. He is proud of his position in Neo Arcadia and sees it as a true peaceful utopia, an ironic position given his own love of violence, but one he holds nonetheless. Fefnir sees Zero as a rival mostly due to his skill in battle, but he envies Zero's past with X as well. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 1-3)

I heard there's a highly skilled Reploid in the Resistance... But I never expected you to be this good... You are amazing, and that is what excites me the most! My name is Fefnir, one of the four Guardians of master X! Now don't let me down, kid!!
Huh huh huh... Whew. That was really fun! Thank you, Zero. I enjoy a challenging fight like this one. Hee hee. Next time, let's go for even more! See ya!!
Now you're askin' for it! I'll blast you to pieces!
One of the Four Guardians of Master X
Fairy Leviathan is a playful, sadistic, and mischievous woman. She is easily bored, but takes pleasure in killing Resistance soldiers to pass the time. She prefers to stay underwater, stating that land is "too dusty" for her. Like the other Four Guardians, she is deeply loyal to X and follows his every command.
Leviathan becomes obsessed with Zero as she fights him. She warns him not to hold back just because she's a woman, and is offended when he doesn't finish her off. She states that losing to Zero "drives her crazy". However, she also comes to enjoy that Zero is stronger than her, claiming she's been looking for a powerful Reploid to one day overcome. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 1-3)

My name is Leviathan, one of the four Guardians of master X. After hearing so much about you from that pretty kid and the combat nerd, I have been looking forward to seeing you. I can't wait to see their faces when they find out that it was I who retired you! Now don't hold back just because I'm a woman!
(Pretty sure the start of this line is supposed to be a chuckle or something similar)
Fu fu... I'm waiting for you, Zero. I guess Fefnir's disease infected me. Once I start thinking of you... I stop caring about the Dark Elf... Even if the world dies, I will be happy as long as I can defeat you. Now, let's battle! That's Omega. His mere existence defies reality... He's strong, but... He's not as fun to fight as you are. Hehe... I don't feel like fighting him, so he's all yours... See you later, Zero.
Dr. Weil normally displays a clever and collected nature. What he lacks in direct power he makes up for with intelligence. He is skilled at stepping back to work behind the scenes, secretly achieving his true goals while leaving others none the wiser. He is a masterful manipulator and always has backup plans. Oddly, he uses colloquialisms befitting a youthful individual (such as referring to Zero as a "fun guy" or calling the Resistance "losers"), though this may be exclusive to the English translation.
Under Weil's professional façade is one of the most insane, sadistic, and evil individuals in the Mega Man franchise. What he truly seeks is control: Weil is obsessed with the sensation of controlling others, as he loved commandeering all Reploids with the Dark Elf, and eagerly attacked Area Zero to force the humans back under his rule. He is incredibly cruel and malicious, as he enjoyed causing the Elf Wars and admitted to Neige that his subjects' humiliation and rage pleased him.
(Appears in Mega Man Zero 2 (post credit dialouge), 3 and 4)
Also, please say the name as "Vile" whether voicing the character or just saying his name as part of the line. There's different pronunciations out there, but given the original intent of the Japanese name sounding like "Vile" and just so we're completely consistent I'm just saying how we're saying the namehere.

Justice!? Freedom!? Worthless ideals! You Reploids are just machines, but you started a war a long time ago in the name of freedom! And humans! Look what they did to me! Driving me away while spouting the word "justice!" Zero, would you insist on saving them!? Controlling the Reploids is nothing! The destruction of all mankind is only fleeting! Not quite alive... Not quite dead... Forever, by my side! I'll make you suffer a fate far greater than anything ever experienced before!
Hehehe... Did my mechanical body surprise you? Did you think that I was a Reploid and you could fight me? I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm pure human... Even with a body that looks like this!
The desire for power. The joy of making everything work for you. You have no way of experiencing this without a human brain. It's the ultimate joy! No mere Reploid could ever understand!
Omega, a Reploid created by Dr Weil, and is a brutal monster who is known by the title of the God of Destruction and Ultimate Reploid. He represents the original personality of Zero, being a ruthless warlord hellbent on destroying anything before him. At first, Omega is depicted as Dr. Weil's mindless servant. He is totally obedient to Weil, reverently addressing him as Lord Weil, and exhibits no desires of his own. He rarely speaks in anything but growls and roars, like a beast. Weil claims he had developed a grudge against Zero and X for defeating him in the first place. Before fighting Zero in Weil's lab, he laughs and calls Zero by name.
Once his true form is revealed, Omega shows his true colors as a megalomaniacal villain in his own right, with a god complex. He doubtlessly believes in Weil's insane purpose for him, and when he speaks his first full sentence, he declares himself a Messiah and laughs maniacally. Rather than a mindless beast, Omega instead imitates Zero's evil persona in his Awakened form, or the berserk killing machine he was before Sigma defeated him. He values the Dark Elf for her power, showing concern when she is reverting back to the Mother Elf. In response to Zero calling Omega his "slave", Weil objects. He claims that Omega is a "bloodthirsty god of destruction" and that he merely upgraded his body, implying that Weil has no true control over Omega, and that he merely works with Weil for the sake of spreading destruction. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 3)
*For Omega's Messiah line the English is fine, but I'll include the Japanese as it is in the game in case you wanted to emulate the game but it's optional to record the Japanese.

I am the Messiah! Hahahahaha!
Ware wa meshia nari! Hahahahaha!
(Just one of many of Omega's growls in the game)
GrrrrrrRRRRRAAWRR!!!
Gaarwl... Lord... Weil...
Built by Ciel to govern Neo Arcadia when the original X no longer could, Copy X is a shallow imitation of the original X sharing X's sense of responsibility to the humans but without any of the mercy, hesitation, or altruism that made him so special.
Copy X is much more arrogant and stubborn, as he was born directly into a position of total leadership. He is prone to violence when enraged, and chooses to dismiss his anxieties and confusion by lashing out, rather than confronting and learning from his uncertainty. Zero calls him naïve, since he lacks the experience to properly understand justice and rule Neo Arcadia as X did. Copy X also never underwent the 30 years of protocols the original X experienced in Dr. Light's capsule. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 1 and 3)
Also, if you audition for Copy X, if you could, please put in an audition for Mega Man X/ (Original X) as they will sound the same

No... A perfect copy of the original X. The new hero who saved the human race from this wasted world. Didn't you notice...? The humans have found happiness more than ever before... The utopia that humans have searched for, is here in Neo Arcadia. This is something that you and the original X could never create... Only I could do this!
N-no! Wh-why-why?! I'm a hero! I f-fight for justice! Weil! Dr. Weil! Use Omeg-Omega! Crush him in your h-hand!
X was designed by Dr. Light as a robot who could think and make his own decisions without programming limitations. Unlike most Reploids, X is unique in that his systems were tested by diagnostics for over 30 years before he was released into the world. This assured he wouldn't malfunction at the time of release, keeping his ability to make his own choices intact.
True to his destiny, X is a very human robot. He is a compassionate and kind soul who wishes for nothing more than peace between humans and Reploids. However, he holds no tolerance for injustice and takes his quest for peace very seriously. In times of conflict, he is a hot-blooded warrior who is compelled by his emotions over logic. He always stands up for what he believes is right and fights to protect the innocent. Even so, X remains sympathetic for the Mavericks he fights and often tries to reason with them before it comes to violence. Unfortunately, X's emotional commitment also makes him easily frustrated when things go awry, and he rarely understands the extreme motives of his Maverick opponents.
Along with that, X is the main character of the Mega Man X series, but during the Zero series X takes the form of a Cyber Elf and has more of a supporting role. (Appears in Mega Man Zero 1-3)
If it helps at all here's a link to how X looked back in the Mega Man X series.
Also, if you submit an audition for Mega Man X, if you could, please put in an audition for Copy X as they will sound the same.

That's right, Weil. Just like a century ago... I worked with Zero to defeat this Omega then... And we saved the world from your greedy clutches.
Why do Reploids always have to fight each other? Darn! Do I have to fight again?!
