Welcome to La Mano dei Ferrero! A cinematic audio drama series.
This is a scripted audio drama series, styled more like a cinematic story than a podcast. Think of it as a movie for your ears. It's scripted, dramatic, and character-driven storytelling told through voice acting, immersive sound design, and music. The world is gritty, emotional, and rooted in organized crime, where power and loyalty become a blur.
You’ll be voicing characters who live in the shadows of syndicates, families, rivalries, and blood-soaked promises. These roles carry weight, are emotionally rich, narratively sharp, and never just background filler. Some characters are recurring. Others leave a lasting impact in one scene.
General Rules for AuditionsMic Quality — Please record in a treated or quiet space. No heavy reverb, background noise, or distorted audio.
Multiple Takes Welcome — 2–3 variations per line are encouraged so we can hear your range.
File Format — Submit clean, raw audio in .mp3 or .wav (no effects, no music).
Deadlines — Respect project deadlines. If you need more time, communicate early.
Pronunciation Notes — Some roles include short Italian phrases. Pronunciation guides will be provided. If more help is needed, paste the words in Google Translate in Italian to get a good idea of the pronunciation.
Respect & Professionalism — This is a serious, cinematic project. We expect professionalism and communication throughout.
Note: Payment is a flat rate for the entire role/episode and not an hourly session. CCC auto-labels it “per hour,” but actual pay is $25–$100 total, depending on the role. The final rate will be confirmed after casting based on role size and performance.
Forms accepted are PayPal and CashApp. If you prefer another method, let me know, I’m happy to work with what’s comfortable for you. :)
Primary contact will be through Discord (preferred). Please include your Discord ID in your audition notes or be ready to connect if cast.
More roles may be offered as the series unfolds. I'm looking for voices that bring tension, subtlety, and intimidation. To have silence feel dangerous and dialogue hit. Strong performances may be considered for future supporting or recurring roles.
There is no NSFW content, vulgar language, or AI replacement included in the making of this story.

First off, I want to thank everyone once again for the incredible turnout. La Mano Ferrero received over 800 auditions, and I can’t say enough about the talent and dedication that came through.
Every submission brought something greatly unique, and this project wouldn’t have had the same energy without all of you. While only a select number of actors will be cast for this first episode, I want everyone to know this is just the start of the stories.
There are additional projects and storylines currently in development within the same and different universes, and many of the voices I’ve heard here will absolutely be considered for those future roles.
This includes those who auditioned for the Narrator — I’ve heard some fantastic storytelling voices that may fit perfectly in upcoming audio stories with different tones and genres. So if you don’t receive a role this round, please don’t take it as the end; it’s simply what I would call Round One of the much bigger world being built. I’m taking note of strong auditions for future casting calls and will be reaching out as those projects progress.

Narrator
Age: Flexible (late 20s–50s depending on voice)
Affiliation: Neutral (omnipresent storyteller)
Personality / Style: Steady, engaging, and expressive without being theatrical. The Narrator should sound like they’re guiding the listener through an intimate, cinematic story, with gravitas when needed, and restraint when silence or atmosphere speaks louder.
Voice Style: Warm, rich, and commanding, but not overly dramatic. More of a voice that can slip in between calm reflection, suspenseful tension, and sharp emphasis when the scene calls for it.
Role Importance: Central to the project. The Narrator ties together episodes, adds weight to transitions, and conveys themes the characters themselves cannot say.
[Opening, calm but inviting] “Every deal begins with a promise. But promises are fragile things… easily broken, easily buried. Tonight, we learn the price of one such promise.”
[Building suspense] “He thought he could outlast the storm. He was misled; storms wouldn't wait for him. They break what’s in their path… or they bury it.”
[Closing reflection, solemn] “In the end, it wasn’t loyalty or love that kept him standing. It was something far colder… survival.”
Marcelo Vescari
Age: Mid 40s/early 50s
Affiliation: Vescari Syndicate
Personality: Stern, commanding, loyal, but pragmatic. Marcelo balances ruthlessness in business with a personal code of honor.
Voice Style: Deep, grounded, with subtle authority. The kind of man who doesn’t need to shout to be respected.
Role Importance: A major character in the first chapter/episode who plays a pivotal part in shaping a family’s future.
[Measured, calm but firm. Explaining his worldview] “The business runs on respect. You give it, you will get it back. But when someone forgets that rule… I remind them, and you wouldn’t want my reminders.”
[Speaking to an ally, tone more towards a friend, but his demeanor is edged with steel] “Now, listen, I don’t like enemies. Enemies slow the money down. But if a man forces my hand… then, I’ll show him how quickly respect turns into fear.”

Viviana Ferrero
Age: Early 30s
Title: La Mano - (The Hand)
Affiliation: Mano dei Ferrero - (Hand of the Ferreros)
Personality: Elegant, calculating, and fiercely ambitious. Viviana was raised in her family’s mafia with the principles of what family truly means. She grew and molded into a smart, tenacious, enigmatic, compassionate, and versatile woman. She posed as a representative of elegance and a sense of ferocity all at once. Striking a balance between warmth and quiet menace. She respects strength in others but never lets her guard down.
Voice Style: Smooth, commanding, and stern, with a touch of seduction or ice depending on the situation. Viviana’s voice should feel like velvet; pleasant at first, but hiding blades underneath.
Role Importance: A central recurring character whose decisions shape the Mano dei Ferrero's alliances and conflicts. She embodies both business finesse and intimidation, making her a power player who can’t be underestimated.
[Menacing but subtle, intimidation wrapped in charmed confidence] “You speak as if this poses a threat to me. Plot all you want. But you and I both know who holds the knife at the end of this deal. Good to know you like to slash quickly.”
[Reflective, elegant, almost conversational—Menacing subtly] “My family taught me one lesson: It’s not who deserves the seat, it’s who can bear its weight. Age? Blood? None of it matters; the crown crushes the weak. And I’m still standing, unlike everyone else.”

Andre Vescari
Age: Mid-to-late teens (18–23)
Affiliation: The Vescari Syndicate
Personality / Style: Young, conflicted, and quietly observant. He’s sharp for his age, with a determined tone, sometimes respectful, sometimes defiant when pushed too far. His voice should reflect a mix of vulnerability and emerging steel.
Voice Style: Natural, youthful, with a believable emotional range. Must balance fear, hesitation, and moments of boldness.
Role Importance: A main recurring role. Andre’s choices shape the emotional heart of the story, whether he grows into loyalty, rebellion, or something darker.
[Quiet reflection, hint of pain] “No, it's all behind a curtain. They say blood isn’t business. But in this house… it’s both. And it never washes off.”
[Defiant, standing up despite fear] “You think I don’t see it? You call it family and devotion, and all I see are chains. Every part of it.”
[Hesitant but determined, showing he’s learning to wield courage] “It wasn't right... but if this is the price of survival, we have to be willing to pay it... And I will.”
Soldier / Capo (Supporting Role)
Age: Mid 20s – 40s
Affiliation: Syndicate
Personality / Style: Tough, loyal, and business-first. Soldiers are the Syndicate’s enforcers. Men and women who carry out orders without hesitation. Capos have more authority, commanding others while keeping the boss’s business in line.
Voice Style: Gritty, commanding, or street-level natural. Able to pronounce some Italian words. Each soldier/capo should sound believable as a criminal professional, grounded and intimidating, but not cartoonish.
Role Importance: Supporting roles that add realism and intimidation to scenes. Multiple voices may be cast to portray different soldiers or capos within the Syndicate.
[Cold, professional threat] “Boss said you had until tonight. Guess what? Tonight’s here.”
[Capo, giving orders] “Keep the trucks moving. No delays, no excuses. Anyone who slows us down — I deal with personally.”
[Soldier, intimidation] “You think this is a game, spione? Nobody walks away from the Syndicate without paying the price.” - Spione (Italian for “spy”/“snitch” used as a label) — SPY-oh-neh (stress on the first syllable)
