Game Synopsis:
Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled high school students - the protagonist and a collection of compatriots he meets in the game's story - who live dual lives as Phantom Thieves.

About:
Who is in charge of this Project? Crystal Blitz will be the Editor along with being the main Director of this project. Along with Joseph Frost as Co-Director and Voice Director. What is the Project? This project will have characters doing things drawn by the fans of the series in various art styles. Your job as an actor is the bring the character a voice along with bringing them to life.

Audition Rules and Information:
1) All actors must have a clear microphone and overall good audio quality! Avoid recording in large or echoey rooms, and rooms with air conditioning, fans, or other appliances running in the background. Pop filters or angling your microphone slightly to the side are also helpful to avoid unwanted noise, puffing, or popping. Be careful to avoid audio clipping and buzzing. Please don't use any vocal-altering effects, or any filters that might majorly change the sound of your audio!
2) This project may include some questionable subjects, in regards to same sex relationships along with swearing. If this is a turn off for you we apoligize in advance.
3) Many of these characters have official voice actors, so please pay attention to what sort of voice is preferred in the character descriptions. Matching the Japanese or English actors that appear in Persona 5 is encouraged however is not a requirement we would like your own take on the character basing it on the official Va's.
4) This project requires cast members to be 15 years of age or older.
5) Deadlines will be implemented upon having a full cast -- we will be expecting lines from all cast members once every two weeks! Checking your notifications for announcements regularly is a must. If you think that this schedule will be too difficult for you to adhere to on a regular basis, please do not audition. Vivid Crystal Dubs has a deadline policy in place to keep our projects running smoothly.
6) A Discord account is mandatory so as to keep everyone up to date with proper updates and announcements. This is non-negotiable.

The protagonist is a second-year high school student who meets Morgana and transfers to Shujin Academy in the spring in Tokyo near Aoyama-Itchome. He lives in a coffee shop called Cafe Leblanc, located in Yongen-Jaya and owned by Sojiro Sakura, an acquaintance of his parents. He becomes classmates with Ryuji Sakamoto and Ann Takamaki, who join him in his endeavors alongside the mysterious Morgana. Additionally, he is the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a group whose purpose is to steal the hearts of corrupted adults in order to create a reformed society. Later, more members join the Phantom Thieves: Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura, Haru Okumura and Goro Akechi.

With a case of social anxiety bordering on agoraphobia, combined with the trauma of losing her mother Wakaba Isshiki, Futaba is strongly discomfited by going outside. She communicates with the world remotely via the Internet, and her adoptive father Sojiro Sakura enables her lifestyle out of guilt that he could not protect her from trauma. Having disconnected herself from humanity and the world beyond her apartment, Futaba is lonely, lives without passion and enthusiasm, suffers from suicidal depression, and questions the point in her living. When first encountered, Futaba is so consumed with self-loathing that she suppresses her desire to live.

Despite being the student council president, Makoto is an extremely unpopular student at Shujin Academy; due to her not doing anything to stop Kamoshida's abuse, she is considered by all the students to be an arrogant, selfish control freak who knew about the abuse but chose to do nothing about it because she only cared about getting a good letter of recommendation. While she does give off the impression of this during the Phantom Thieves' first few encounters with her, these rumors are ultimately revealed to be just that: rumors. In truth, the abuse outraged Makoto, but she didn't feel like she had the power to anything about it. In fact, Makoto holds no real authority in the school, with her position merely making her a glorified tool for the principal to use however he sees fit.
"I may be a phantom thief, but that's no excuse for me to start ignoring my presidential duties."

Ann is a very kind, sweet and compassionate girl, enough for it to be noted by both Morgana and Sojiro Sakura. Years of isolation due to her looks has left her very withdrawn and with a belief she's lost her place in the world, but that doesn't stop her from opening up to the people close to her and making jokes. This is because she's learned not to care what other people think of her, a lesson taught to her by Shiho Suzui, who was her only friend before joining the Phantom Thieves. She is shown to be a good judge of character, as she was the first person able to look past the rumors of the protagonist and see him for who he really is.

Initially, Morgana is extremely rude, arrogant, sarcastic and condescending. When in battle, he is also smug, frequently declaring "It's almost scary how good I am!" after scoring a critical hit or hitting a weak spot. He seems to really enjoy looking down on Ryuji, as he never passes an opportunity to insult his intelligence and often expects him to know things he has no way of knowing, making him something of an insufferable genius. Even on the rare occasions he gives a compliment, he nearly always follows it up with a snide remark e.g. "That's not a bad idea... for you, Ryuji!"

Haru is generally very shy and reserved. At school, she is viewed as eccentric due to her tendency to keep to herself and avoid contact with others as much as possible. She has serious trust issues, finding it difficult to differentiate between who truly values her as a friend, and who merely wants to use her for her family's status. This is due to her past, where not only friends, but adults and teachers would be kind at her just to please her father and smiled at her for their own personal gain. Despite this, Haru is an incredibly kind-hearted girl.

Ryuji is known as a disruptive "problem student" at school whose bad behavior causes all sorts of trouble for the teachers. He is quite proud of his status as a self-proclaimed "troublemaker" and his rebellious, mischievous and disobedient nature are the perfect qualities to be a Phantom Thief. He is very vulgar and aggressive, using by far the most foul language of the group and often tearing into people with no concern for their feelings.

Yusuke’s entire life’s passion is comprised of and surrounded by art. He searches for the aesthetic everywhere in his surroundings, from people to places. He sees every opportunity or challenge presented to him as a way to broaden his horizons, and primarily considers how it will benefit him greatly as an artist. He is captivated by the painting of “Sayuri,” and seeks to capture the sense of beauty that it portrays. This passion extends to his mentor, Madarame, who he believed created the painting and who took him in when he was young.

Sojiro is serious and a bit cold to the protagonist in the beginning, begrudgingly taking him in as a favor to a friend. Like many characters in the beginning of the story, he is cautious of him due to his probation, even stating that he will do very little if the protagonist gets himself into trouble. However, the longer the protagonist lives with him, Sojiro slowly builds trust in him and even begins teaching him to make Leblanc's signature coffee and curry. He also begins to joke around with the protagonist more, seeing that the protagonist is not a delinquent as the probation makes him seem like.

Kawakami is a highly competent and professional teacher who never lets her ever-mounting stress and exhaustion show visibly in either of her jobs. She is laid-back and outspoken, once saying "crap" in class. While she initially acts very coldly towards the protagonist, this was because she thought he was a problem student and felt unsafe around him. After he stands up to Suguru Kamoshida, she realizes that he was given a poor reputation for no good reason and becomes far friendlier, showing her more compassionate and involved side.

She originally worked for a university but was fired after she was scapegoated for a disastrous medical trial she advised against, and it is eventually revealed her clinical trial is actually an attempt to perfect the drug and regain her credibility.

Bullied, abused and ignored, Mishima is an isolated individual who craves freedom from his day-to-day tortures. Initially nervous and scared, once given a listening ear and a bit of support his excitable and loyal nature undoubtedly shines through. While his enthusiasm can become annoying, at times Mishima will still be hesitant and respectful, often apologizing for texting when he is sure the protagonist is busy.
