Project Overview
Introduction
Welcome to my fandub for the "Lv 999" manga. These dubs are for fun, but I am striving to create a good quality product for each one, to give the cast involved something to be proud as well as ourselves. We know it's not always easy getting experience, and I want these projects to be a high quality project for people of any experience level to either just have fun doing or so people wanting to get more experience and for everyone to have something they're proud of to share.
What I'm Looking For
Due to this and future projects like this being fandubs, unfortunately I am not able to offer monetary compensation due to copyright. Although it is unpaid though I would like to still have a level of professionalism and quality to the project. So I will be looking for people with:
- Because this is an ongoing series, please audition for the main cast or supporting characters that reoccur later on, only if you are willing to commit to a long term project. Other than the main crew the commitment isn't overly large for supporting characters but we would like to avoid having to change later on. If you aren't able to commit to long term though feel free to audition for extras, minor roles or supporting roles that do not reappear later in the story, so we don't have to recast if you have to leave.
- Good quality microphone, preferably XLR but if you have a USB mic do not let that deter you from auditioning since it is the sound quality I'm looking for and that's still definitely achievable with some USB mics.
- Little to no background noise, reverb or echo. Some we can definitely work with but if there is too much of any of these it greatly takes away from the quality of the audio and can be very jarring to listen to when mixed in with other audio.
- Discord is definitely preferred as it will make things much easier to work on the project as a whole and for table reads.
- A good attitude! I'm hoping to form a great group of people to continue working with me on these projects going forward and that is obviously much easier if you can get along well with me and the rest of the team!

We have also started a discord channel for Echo Audio Productions for this project and many more manga and video game dubs going forward. We do have a designated server already for this project since it was already active before I took over, so if you are cast I will send you a link to that one as well.

David is a bit of a unique character. At the beginning he is incredibly suspicious and is thought to be a spy from the capital, brought in to gain information about the group and the demons. He has many scenes that it's very important that the VA be able to capture the ominous energy, as it's written to lead you into thinking he is an antagonist.
It is later revealed that he was in fact a spy but he was on their side the entire time, sending false information back. From then on he becomes one of their most trusted and important allies. He is very charismatic and has spent years serving the royal family so carries himself extremely well and is very refined and proper in his speech. He does also go through some more intensive scenes where he needs to be able to display different emotions such as panic, fear, anger and desperation. Takako is also extremely attracted to him and makes him very uncomfortable in more than one situation.
How rude of me... Forgive the belated introductions... I am David Foren. As you can see, I am a humble servant of the royal family of the Hekisaldorian Kingdom... I have come to pick up Kururu.
We did receive a report that Kururu and Rex had been deceived by a villager... *dark and ominous*
What?!!? Lies, I am no pervert!!!! Huh?!!? *Shock, confusion and panic*
Might I ask what in heaven's name were you trying to do exactly? I hope that you are not making up mindless excuses just so you can wriggle your way out of this!
Kururu?! My, it does my heart well to see you in such good health! I almost... want to alp at your radiant beauty!! *Over the top and creepily excited, causing the others to think he is indeed a pervert, although he's just excited and a bit awkward*
Take care of Alice!!! Please, run away! Rex and Kururu will be fine... However, if you are captured Alice, you will most certainly be killed... I will buy you some time. Alice... you must escape!!..... *Turns to face enemies* Now.... I will not... let a single one of you past me! *He is fighting the military all alone to try and save his friends, fighting with anger and desperation in his voice*
Please I beg of you Kagami! At this rate Kururu will become someone who exists only to fight demons! And soon she'll forget how to smile as happily as she does now! *Heartbroken, concerned and desperate*
Estellar starts off as the first real antagonist of the series. Later it is revealed though that he isn't actually evil and is putting a lot of hope in Kagami to change the world. He is initially thought to be the number one retainer of the Demon King, but he ends up manipulating him to use the King for his own means.
Estellar is a very special being and pretty much one of the immortal beings of the world that knows how and why things are the way they are. He should should more refined as he is quite calm and cool headed most of the time, with some arrogance as well. Although he is normally quite level headed, he does need to be able to display emotion as well.
This is a royal order... Attack the town of Valmann. *Cold and serious*
So... You're still alive... How quaint... For a moment I had thought it was the hero who had lit the fire under the adventurers... But in reality it was you, was it now? *Intrigued*
How very like you. Faithful to the Demon King until the bitter end... *Mocking*
Even the HP and stamina of a villager is inferior to that of a magician... but his stamina is incredible! Could this also be due to a skill in his possession...? *uncertainty*
*Thinking* This human.... is he really just a villager....!? *Outloud* You... what did you do?!
Dark Dragon... You saw for yourself his true strength did you not? This person's power is more than enough. We've never had someone who could bring us..... Hope.... *Gently pleading with a hint of desperation*
The Demon King is thought to be the most fearsome and terrifying creature in the world, but in reality he does not wish for the destruction or to fight with humans. Kagami met him 9 years ago and grew physically and as a person because of him. His daughter is Alice who goes to find help for him because he has become increasingly ill and weak.
He is manipulated and weakened by Estellar until he is used as a tool to terrify the humans. He comes and goes a few times throughout the series so far. And although he is very ill and seems extremely weak, his magic is still unparalleled. His tone should be strong as wise, although he should sound a bit weaker and ill through most of the series thus far.
It's been a while... I appear to be in your debt... Has it really been nine years...? To be calling a demon like Alice, his "best friend".... *Outloud* As usual, you sure are a strange villager
....A hero...? You... Don't you wish to kill me?
Menou...? You have been supporting Alice all this time... I am proud to have a retainer like you
On the other hand... Estellar, just what are you planning? *Stern and serious*
...Wh-where am I? How... long have I... And... how? But my magic?! *Realizes his magical power is gone*
....Pft! Fuhahahahahaha!!! Villager... you still have a knack for attracting all types of people. You are truly a fascinating fellow. *Begins laughing uncontrollably after watching the other two fight*
The Dark Dragon is a special entity of the world. He exists to foster strong individuals and to carry out God's rules of the world. He is unbelievably strong and hidden in a dungeon where no one but the strongest heroes are able to gain entrance to. He starts off believing Kagami to be just another hero, until he realizes the unbelievable potential he holds.
Him and Estellar are both "singularities" and although he does not have any intention to go against the rules he has laid out before him, he decides to put some hope in Kagami, although he still appears indignant either way.
He is a massive and ancient dragon and I would like his voice to sound incredibly strong, intimidating and on the deeper side. He should be able to instill fear in everyone but the strongest people.
You did well to make it this far and stumble upon my lair. *greeting just like every adventurer before him*
You wished to fight me...? Then I must warn you, I am stronger than even the Demon King
You brainwashed a demon?!!? I Have never heard of such a thing... How's that possible?!
Now it is time we ended this. Valliant warrior, tell me, what have you chosen? This is your last chance to turn back and-
Such foolishness... The chances of defeating me... Are all but non-existent!! *Anger and overwhelming power at the end* Then allow me to test you!!!!! Show me whether your words are evidence of your conviction or are merely for show. Show me if you have the strength to clear the path to your future!! If you wish to overcome all obstacles, show me you can overcome THIS!!!!!
What brilliant power! Speed that is difficult to keep up with, strength powerful enough to blow this large body backwards... Compared to those that have come here in the past, you are far more superior... And yet so close.
King Simon is one of the main antagonists in the majority of the story so far. He is Kururu's father and the reason why humans and demons continue to fight. He is like Estellar in that he is one of the "singularities" of the world, that knows all of the history and about the worlds system. He will do whatever he feels needs to be done to fulfill his role, including having innocent people or demons murdered, manipulating and deceiving anyone he pleases, and even brainwashing his own daughter.
Although he is extremely set in his ways, and incredibly arrogant in the belief that nothing and no one can ever change things, Kagami proves to him that nothing is impossible, and with some coercion from Estellar he does begin to come around to accepting Kagami's proposal. He is still very adamant that he is not on their side but is willing to cooperate long enough to give him a chance, but will not hesitate to go back to his own ways should he fail.
He should sound like a dark and menacing sounding king. He almost appears completely unhinged at points and goes from seeming almost motionless and weak, to zooming so fast around the room and attacking with such strength and speed that no one but Kagami can even hope to keep up with.
To think that Kururu would.... I can hardly believe it.
I cannot bring myself to believe in your words so easily. However you know too much for this to be nothing more than a hoax...
To have been able to bend the will of Kururu that had been conditioned to despise demons, what type of human is that villager? She was conditioned with the strictest of education...
So that her resolve will not be shaken a second time, I intend to apply my brainwashing to the deepest parts of her mind. Once my skill has been activated the other party has no way of fighting against it...
...... Demons... and humans working together to get to the throne room, this is certainly a first.
pft.... FUHAHAHAHA!!! Yes! That is indeed the most important part!! In order for the reset to occur, I sent our most powerful individuals off to defeat the Demon King!! *Totally crazy and insane*
Militaria is an incredibly cruel, cold hearted and sadistic person. He is the King's right hand man, and although he is not someone that is naturally privy to the rules of the world, he is so trusted by the King that he has entrusted him with that information.
He appears to be bordering on insanity almost through a large portion of his role thus far. He is so absorbed in his role at the King's side that he does not care what or who he hurts to do it. Going as far as to have his only son murdered and cause the slaughter of an entire village of humans, just to continue to harbor the hatred towards demons.
The sound of his voice I am not as particular with as long as the VA is able to capture the character. He needs to seem like he is completely and utterly insane but with some composure still, just balancing on the edge.
How exactly do you plan to explain your way out of this one David? I could hardly believe the nonsensical words of a witch, that was once a part of this hero troupe... And yet here we are, David.
I would like to have Kururu and Rex return to the royal capital. It's up to the King what will become of them. Regarding their demonic ties... There is a chance that they are somehow being brainwashed into submission.... As for the demon child... Once we have captured the other demon, they will both be put to death.
Enough! In the face of my skill, you are no more than an infant throwing a tantrum. Enough of your futile resistance, surrender peacefully!
I went to one of the demon settlements he was fostering a relationship with... and killed a single demon. *Shrugs* ... That's all it took. With that one simple act, any relationship they once had fell apart.
Everything I do is for the sake of my King... That is how important the loyalty I swore to my King is. My King is everything to me!! Because I can understand his majesty's desires and his pain... Even if it is my own child, I can eliminate anything deemed a dangerous existence! *Beginning to start to over over the edge* His majesty is absolute... We mere humans cannot even compare to his greatness!!!!!
Simply known as "Master", he is the sole reason that Palna absolutely despises demons. They became close friends when Palna was younger and he taught her many things. He was an extremely gifted young scholar and had a dream to create a world where humans and demons could live together in coexistence.
He has endless positivity and optimism, and no matter how many times he's turned away or shut out from the demons, he never waivers in his goal, until he's finally even able to win over an entire tribe. Palna looked up to him and he had a knack of making everyone around him not only listen, but believe in his dreams.
He is later killed at the end of the flashback in a horrific massacre, destroying the dream he had worked so hard to build.
I picture his voice being a bit on the medium-higher teenage voice, with a more intellectual but extremely positive energy to it.
Do you hate books? If you don't really like them, I would recommend this one.
If humans and demons can get along, life would be even richer than it is now
Because you have all taught me so much about yourselves, I would like to teach you about the ways of humans. I would like to introduce you to a human village.
*Stabbed and shocked as he drops to the ground and dies*
With the amount of work we are currently producing we are very open to having help with the editing. Because of the nature of the project, we aren't able to provide compensation for this role either unfortunately, but if you are interested in gaining more experience and credits to your name, or just love the content and would like to work on a project for fun, we would love to hear from you!
We have this along with many other projects on the go at the moment and we are mainly assigning each VE their own project.
The editing for the manga's is going to be fairly simple, just lots of transitions and words loading as speech is being overlaid. As well as inputting the audio tracks into the video as well obviously. Some of the mangas with more action it would be great to have more effects like shakes, speed lines etc as well.
