Eros, the winged god of love and son of cruel goddess Aphrodite, meets and saves the pure mortal Psyche. The two slowly begin to fall in love with each other. Unfortunately, Eros lets it slip that she might just be more beautiful then his mother, which sends her into a vicious rampage to find this girl. Unaware that her son was the man who uttered these words, she sends him to go and find her and shoot her with one of his arrows, making her fall in love with the ugliest beast in the land. Eros follows his mother’s orders but is also unaware that Psyche has been convinced by her best friend Zinnia to find out who this man she met is. After Eros is unable to shoot Psyche, she learns the man’s true identity just before he is swept away and kidnapped by his mother. Soon enough, Psyche, with the help of two hopeless romantics (Apollo and Hermes) and her under appreciated nymph friend (Zinnia), they set off on a journey to save Eros.

The lead of our show, Psyche, is a mortal girl living in Thessaly, the city resting just beside Mount Olympus. With a stubborn personality, and an axe to grind with immortal god Aphrodite, we follow her journey as she tries to save her true love.
Psyche is one tough mortal to crack, for the girl is easily irritable and wickedly clever. She’s a headstrong female, who will stop at nothing until she right’s her wrongdoing. While she can be incredibly strong-willed, Psyche also has a sweet and tender side to her. She cares deeply about her friends, and is truly a kindhearted person. Not only that, but she can kick some ass when needed. But like any human, she can also get angry, sad, and frustrated, especially with Zinnia, after blaming her for Eros’s capture. Anyone who plays this girl better be fierce, sassy, yet also delicate.

It’s your fault he got captured! You were the one that told me to look at him! If I hadn’t listened to you, and your stupid advice, we wouldn’t even be in this situation! You wanna turn back now just because you’ve finally found someone who loves you. Well, the person who loves me is locked up, thanks to you. So I’m going after him. With or without your help.
(Pause for Zinnia's line: "You don’t need my help, apparently.")
Fine then! I don’t! Your help is what started this whole damn thing! And if he’s dead... that’s on you.
Look, I don’t know your name, but I can’t lie and say I’m not... drawn to you. If you could just let me know who you are... please. You know who I am. All I’m asking for is to know you. To see you. To see the person who saved my life. To see the person I might be falling in love with... I mean, the person I think I might be falling in love with. You get to see me, don’t I deserve to see you?

The leading male of the show; Eros, the god of passion and love, and also the son of Aphrodite. After mingling with mere mortal, Psyche, Eros finds himself falling in love with the girl. But after being kidnapped because of this love and a slip of words, it’s up to Psyche to save this captured angel.
An angelic god with a sweet demeanor, Eros’s warm, friendly manner could burn through even the iciest of hearts. He’s an outgoing guy, with a series case of mommy issues. While Eros is incredibly kind-hearted, he also has a flaming hot protective side to him. Whoever is casted to portray Eros must not only make him the gentleman he is, but also play on his blunt, friendly type side. He’s as sweet as a bumble bee, but can sting like a wasp.

Do you have a heart, at all, mom?! Do you care about anyone besides yourself? You’re supposed to be the god of love, and yet... have you ever really loved anyone? People love you. I love you. Do you even love your son? Do you love me?

The god of light, plague, music, etc, Apollo begins as the narrator of our story. After being quickly recruited by Psyche and Zinnia, he assists the team throughout their journey. Not only is Apollo devilishly handsome, but he also is madly in love with fellow god, Hermes.
Apollo is wickedly quick and clever. With a winning smile, and flirtatious comments, the god desperately continues to try and win over his crush, Hermes. He is also best friends with Eros, and wants to help and rescue him. Apollo is witty and remarkably charming, not to mention humorous and courageous. Whoever plays him must be confident and act through their words well.

Now, don’t get your tails and horns and extra body parts in a twist when I say our story begins with a mortal. But not just any mortal! Our story begins- Wait. You know what? I’m the god of music for a reason!
This, is Thessaly. Resting in the cold dark valley beside Mount Olympus, Thessaly is a god's playground. Sure, the water isn’t exactly filtered and the food is probably not safe for consumption, but hey! They have a charming view of Mount Olympus!

Hermes, the god of trade and transportation is close friends with Apollo and Zinnia, and also helps on the journey. During most of the musical, Hermes tries to ignore his romantic feelings towards Apollo, but in the end reveals them and receives them in return.
The god can get rather nervous and jittery, usually always fidgeting and worrying about his friends. Hermes hides his inner feelings towards Apollo because he’s afraid. He’s afraid of a lot of things. But when it’s time, Hermes can stand up and help save the day. He is also rather smart and adorably geeky in his own way. Whoever plays Hermes needs to be steady in his dorky, anxious side, while also rather romantic and flirtatious at times.

Because I’m in love with you, Apollo! That’s why I care so much! You keep looking at me with those sad puppy dog eyes, and I can’t handle your stupid ass smile- gods, I’m sorry.... I’m sorry I can’t handle my own dumb emotions anymore, I just I can’t hold it in! I’m in love with you, Apollo! I didn’t need any arrows to realize it. I’m in love with you!

A humorous secondary/lead role, Zinnia, a playful flower nymph and best friend of Psyche, also lives in the pleasant city of Thessaly. With the power to control plants, she assists her best friend in the journey to rescue Eros.
Zinnia is a loyal friend with a optimistic value on love and life. Through this positive demeanor, she also shows her rather obnoxious and annoying traits, not to mention, her selfish actions occasionally, and lack of bravery. But she’s do anything to protect her friends, and in the end, she does. The person that plays Zinnia needs to be able to show off her headstrong, sweet and loving best friend side, while also switching to her more vulnerable traits.

Psyche, can you please for once think straight? I’m sorry. I’m sorry Eros got captured, but we have to be logical! You want to go up against Aphrodite? She’s immortal, and Eros is her son! You really think we can get him back? You saw it, we could barely fight Ares! You really think we can take on a pissed immortal goddess?
Redbull... why do they call it Redbull? Like bulls aren’t actually red, so why make them red? Why not.... blue? Blue bulls.... hah... blue bulls.

Our secondary antagonist is Ares, the god of war, and also Aphrodite's current husband. Aka, Aphrodite's current minion. Sent out to kill Psyche, Apollo, Zinnia and Hermes during their quest, he is accidentally shot with a golden arrow. Because of the arrows magic power, he falls accidentally in love with Zinnia, only to enrage Aphrodite even more.
With a bloodthirsty demeanor, Ares is desperate for conflict and chaos. A quick temper, a sword and immortality do NOT mix. Much like Aphrodite, he’s incredibly handsome and deadly. But because of the golden arrows ability to make anyone fall in love with anyone, his entire personality has to flip on a dime. From an aggressive and feisty bull, to a sweet and loving puppy dog. Whoever plays Ares has to capture his fierceness, yet be able to switch it into adorableness after being shot.

You have a pretty smile, Zinnia. Hah, I love your name, Zinnia. What’s it mean, Zinnia? Pretty? 'Cause you are pretty, Zinnia. Very very very pretty, Zinnia.
Darling Psyche, Aphrodite has told me all about you. You aren’t as pretty as I was expecting, but I can see why Eros has taken a liking to you. Now, put the bow down before I gut you like a fish.

Aphrodite, mother of Eros and the antagonist of our story, is a hot headed bitch who takes nothing from no one. The god of beauty, an immortal beast with a thorn in her side. Named Psyche. After her son says that this mortal is more beautiful then her, well... she can’t have that, now can she?
The goddess of love... hasn’t seemed to ever really love anyone, but herself. As sad as that seems, that is the basis of Aphrodite's personality. She’s gorgeous and she knows it. She is a mythic bitch, and she sure as hell knows it. Currently, she is married to Ares, the god of war, who is almost as cruel as she is. Whoever plays Aphrodite will have to keep a strong, selfish front... with a tiny spark of love for her son; Eros, which is only revealed at the end.

Someone said it. I can sense it from anywhere in all of Greece, someone said that this girl, Psyche, whatever the hell her name is- dammit! SOMEONE SAID THIS MORTAL IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN I AM!
The ugliest creature you can find, of course! Make her fall maddening in love with the beast. And once it rejects her... haha, that’s when the fun will really start.
