Introduction
Lost Nightmare is a comic about the young nightmare Ink who is supposed to be the next Boogeyman. However, Ink does not want to be scary so he seeks the Sandman's help.

We are usually pretty flexible with schedules. But please please make sure you turn in lines on time for the projects if you get cast.
Rules
Young Ink is a little nightmare. He doesn't want to be the next Bogeyman, so he travels to the Sandman in hopes to change his fate.
A very innocent character, and doesn't understand the real danger of things. Will easily cry over anything if he is scared, sad, or confused.
Voice - Soft, high pitched (not squeaky though)
(Shy) Can I keep a bunny, please? I'll take really good care of it! I promise!
(Verge of tears) But Jasper said bunnies are the scariest! And Jasper is really smart!
(Happy) That sounds like Jasper and the foxes!
(Crying) I don't want you to hate me, Jasper!
I've always wanted to help you. And I want to keep the nightmare in the forest safe, too.
Ink's friend and older brother figure. Cares for Ink very much, though his traumatic memories prevent him from showing it at times.
In the beginning, he is more of the typical older brother that gets annoyed with their younger siblings. Jealous, not wanting to associate with them, or not understand what others exactly see in them. Later on, we see he is just as sensitive and loving as Ink. But this comes through the hardships of finding out his lost memories.
Voice - Medium-high pitched
(Annoyed) You're so annoying! Father should've let me be the next Bogeyman instead of a foundling like you.
Why would the Sandman want to kidnap Ink? That's ridiculous! Maybe he just ran away. It's not like he's needed here anyway.
Uhm, excuse me. have you seen a little nightmare with a striped scarf?
So you won't help me... I hope the Sandman doesn't get to Ink first.
(Crying) I've always... I've always wanted to be like you, father. I hate being a dream. I know you hate dreams.
A straight-faced man who is very harsh or blunt with words. Comes across as angry or annoyed, when once again, in reality, it's just to protect his nightmare-ish family. He is a strong father figure to Jasper and Ink. Raising Jasper since he was a child and Ink since he was created. Because of the choices his children make, he often doubts himself and his actions. Were they really helping in the end?
Voice - Deep-medium pitched
What is the meaning of this? You have to be stricter with the nightmare. It's abilities must be controlled.
(Angry) Do not talk about things you don't understand. Send out the guard, Doll! We need to find that nightmare...
Tell me, Doll... am I a bad protector of nightmares? You don't have to answer that.
The Sandman changed ever since he started devouring nightmares. I tried keeping everyone away from him, but he kept luring bad dreams to his realm. I couldn't really help anyone.
(Younger version of him) Oh. no! Did a dream get caught in it? I'm so sorry little one! Are you alright? Don't worry, I won't hurt you.
A robot or "doll" who cares for Ink and Jasper. Not exactly a mother figure, but more of a caregiver. Assisting the Bogeyman by helping them in their studies and teaching Ink the ways of how nightmares work. Very intelligent, often seeing other character's internal problems before they do themselves.
Voice - Always calm, medium-high pitched
No Ink, I told you to conjure up something scary. Bunnies usually don't cause nightmares. As the future bogeyman, you have to know everything about the most common fears. Now, let's repeat from the top.
I think you are a good guardian. You have always been protecting Master Jasper and Little Ink.
Master Bogeyman. do you still refuse to see the Sandman? Master Jasper and Ink might have already reached his realm. In that case... I will find a way to bring them back.
Good evening, memory dreams. I was hoping you could answer some questions. I am afraid some knowledge about the Sandman had been kept from me. So it is true...
Was once a kind man who gave dreams to the world, who turned crazy and insane once he began to corrupt himself with nightmares. It has created two entirely different sides of him. While one side is his manipulative, incurable, corrupted, and filled with fake-kindness self. Sounding more "innocently twisted". While the other side of him is sweet, has true kindness, and more innocent curiosity.

There's nobody here to protect you anymore. I'm sick of being your Sandman. That's why I chased away all you winey dreams.
Welcome to my humble home, little nightmare. I am the Sandman. (Slowly starts laughing) Sick? Me? Pfft- How sweet of you to worry about ME! I'm super fine! Just a lil' hungry!
I'm terribly sorry for making you wait! How rude of me not to welcome uninvited guest right away.
(Kind and sweet, a past version of Sandman) You've been following me for quite a while, haven't you? What's your name? You remind me of a story about someone called the Bogeyman. It's nice to meet you. I'm the Sandman.
A cute little bunny used to guide and lure Ink to the Sandman's realm. The Sandman's disguise. Adorable and unsuspecting.
Voice - Soft, ominous at times, medium-high pitched
Hello, Ink. You seem sad. I've been watching you from the moon, little Ink. I want to help you. If you don't want to become the Bogeyman, you should see the Sandman!
Just follow the moon and everything will be fine, Ink.

I will keep the hunter away from you. Just keep following the moon! The Sandman will take care of everything.
Nila's twin brother. Both siblings are friends of Ink and Jasper, as well as fox nightmares. Often playing pranks or teasing their friends. When together (which is most of the time) both of them can become easily distracted or easily worried. Both Nila and his sister Moki are one in the same.

Voice - medium-high pitched, extremely playful nature
(Teasing) Hey, Ink, how was your training? Did you get scared of your own shadow again?
(Playful) Yay! We finally found Ink! We missed you! And the Bogeyman's pretty mad about you running away! He's furious! Outraged! Boiling mad!
(Laughing and joking) I got it! Jasper wants to be a pirate!
(Scared) Jasper! Jasper! Ink got away! And then the moon turned really creepy! Creepier than usual!

Come to think of it, we just like to tease people but I'm not sure what Jasper's problem is. Must be an exciting story! Or maybe something really embarrassing?
(Frantic) We told you! He got away! We don't know where he went! We just followed his scent! Maybe he already reached the Sandman?
A mysterious hunter who roams the forest outside the kingdoms. Their mission is to hunt down the beast, and protect those who live in it. In front of nightmares, they come across as bruting, and threatening. While in front of dreams, they show concern, and passion.
Begone! Monster!

If you follow the moon out of this forget you will find the Sandman's realm.
A mysterious beast who roams the forest outside of the kingdoms. While the beast looks quite threatening, they are but an animal constantly on the run from a hunter. Empathetic with the little nightmare, Ink, and their struggle to run away from their current lives.
I'm sorry, little one. I did not mean to startle you. Are you not afraid of me, little nightmare? No, I don't mean you any harm.
Is Jasper your father? You don't know who has created you? Don't worry, Ink. You will find out eventually.
The hunter is coming.
Jasper as a young, innocent child. Once the Boogeyman found and took him in. Jasper was a happy kid. For such a small child, they latched onto depressing topics quickly. Already wanting to prove themselves to their father, and wanting to become the next Boogeyman. Jasper hated that he was a dream, because he knew that his father hated them. But that didn't stop him from trying.
