Amane Sato at roughly 11 years old was in a car ride with her parents after seeing a movie in theaters, Amane doesn't remember much of the film outside of it being about a Princess who saves her Prince from a witch. Shortly after Amane and her family were hit by a second car. This accident killed both of her parents instantly and injured her heavily. Amane was taken in by her Grandmother who while kind also was very negligent of her Granddaughter's needs.

Amane after the accident suffered from a very heavy depression at a young age to the point she felt very little emotion outside of dread and sadness. Her grandmother in an attempt to make her feel better took her to a park to play to which she left her alone. Amane sat at the park still very depressed until a young boy came up to meet her and asked if she wanted to play

This young boy was Sora Haruki, He was one of two sons in the Haruki family, Sora was at the park because he had run away from his family due to always wanting to play at a public park. Amane felt like a light had turned on in her heart and she never forgot about Sora. 

She and her grandmother had moved out of the city to a smaller town just a quick train ride away where the next 8 years Amane and her Grandmother lived and attended a small high school where she was bullied for her anti-social behavior. She began to become much more of a shut in and rarely made friends. Her grandmother was supportive of her choices and never really knew to try and encourage her to leave her hikikomori lifestyle. Amane continued to remember the boy Sora she met years ago thinking about how he was her first real friend.

While she was away the Haruki family within the city had begun the construction of Hanazono Academy, A college prep school for students who’ve graduated high school and if lucky enough to be selected to attend would be guaranteed the future colleges of their choosing. This school had sent out applications to nearby districts and for the school’s first few years the student body was selected by Raffle. Amane was placed into the school in its 5th year of existence and last year of this raffle system meaning this year has to go perfectly in hopes of attracting the attention of richer families applying their children.

Amane is currently 19 and ready to start her new school year in this new school district, she had cleaned up her room, began to accessorize and find a sense of style, and was ready to put her old life behind her . . . until she encounters the same boy she fawned over for years with another girl . . .

At the beginning of the game Amane starts out nervous and meek over her actions. but through the 10 weeks of gameplay she will more and more calculated and almost apathetic to her actions as she gains confidence in her skills and more devoted to her goal of getting Sora. Outside of her Yandere Side she is a average adorkable new school girl in town trying to find her place in the world.

She is the energetic, slightly airheaded cheerleader of the group who constantly teases them about their mutual crush. While she is deeply loyal, her attention span is notoriously short, making her the most easily distracted of the group.

He silently resents Sora for effortlessly holding Jane's attention, but he is far too timid to confess or disrupt the group dynamic. He rarely speaks to the others, preferring to act as Jane’s quiet, lingering confidant.

Asuka is Jane’s absolute best friend and the unofficial leader of their daily excursions. She is fiercely protective of Jane’s well-being and acts as a gatekeeper, filtering who gets to interact with her. While she fully supports Sora, she will instantly shut down anything—or anyone—that stresses Jane out.

The pragmatic perfectionist who keeps the group’s academic and behavioral standards in check at Hanazono Academy. Hitomi acts as the "mom" of the group, constantly scolding Sora for his relaxed attitude while gently tutoring Jane. She values the group's stability above all else and is highly suspicious of outsiders disrupting their routine.

Originally Sora’s childhood friend, Takeru naturally integrated into the clique and quickly adopted Jane as a little sister figure. He is abrasive, quick-tempered, and highly territorial. He doesn't care much for school rules but will aggressively, and physically, defend his friends from any perceived threats.
