Fallout New Vegas Mod: The Hype is Real
Project Overview
Hey, I'm Jchrispole and I create mods for a video game called Fallout New Vegas.

The main antagonist of my mod, Tony Mozzarella runs the trade of a drug called "Hype." Though as a reference to the main antagonist of the first mod, he is initially angered and the main character for wrecking his drug trade and then marching right into his office unannounced, but becomes even more aggravated as the main character continually asks him questions despite his demands to stop.
"Ah, well it looks like you've finally arrived. You know, I was going to send someone down to get you, but looks like you found your own way in."
"So let's recap: you fuck up my trade operations, you fuck up my factory, you fuck up my dinner party, now you're here to fuck up my new casino."
"So let me ask you this buddy, cause I'm a bit confused. Just who the fuck are you? What do you have against the Mozzarella family?"
Smudge is a disinterested African American male who's known in the Wasteland as a guy who gathers intel on targets sought after by Hitmen. People usually pay him to dig up and give bounty hunters whatever information he can find regarding the people they are trying to find and kill.
"Sup? You looking for someone? Preferably someone famous so that I don't have to dig that deep for info?"
"Okay, I see what this is about. Look, I didn't put the bounty on your head. I'm just the guy people go to when they're trying to find their targets."
"Bounty Hunters kinda need guys like me though: most of the time, all they have to go on is a name, or even a raw description. I fill in the blanks."
Provolone is the first character the Player meets: a rugged bounty hunter who's been doing this for so long that it really doesn't phase him anymore. In fact, he's planning to hurry up and kill the player so that he can get back to his soap operas. He becomes aggravated with the player after talking for a bit, sure that they are actively stalling him from seeing his shows. He also has a thing for mannequins.
"What's up, Courier 6? Beautiful day to die, am I right?" (spoken very casually)
"Well, I'm in a bit of a rush so I'll give you the short. I'm a "bounty Hunter" who's been hired to "kill you." Now do you see where this is going?"
"Oh come on, do we really have to do this? My Soaps are on in like...ugh, okay. Fine. As a dying wish, I'll let you know why this is happening."
Cafe is a strange traveler with multi-personality disorder (her other personality appeared in the previous mod so I wanted to include her again.)
"Stop right there: what are you? Are you one of the Eyeless? Saying something! Say something or I'll shoot you." (said with a sense of slight panic)
"You're back. Why?" (said with a hint of irritability.)
"An exchange? Maybe. There is something I want but would be too dangerous for me to retrieve. It belongs to someone I hate."
A girl who's currently hopped up on the story's main drug: "Hype" which has made her jittery, energetic, and completely insane. I need an actress who can do a character who's clearly on some of kind of heavy stimulus. She speaks fast and often times shouts certain words in one sentence no matter the context.
"Hey, hi, hey, HI! Wanna try some hype?"
"This Hype stuff is AWESOME. I've been turning up the stove to the hottest tempature and touching it with my fingers. Don't even FEEL it anymore."
"By the way, isn't it funny how some basements and attics aren't just called ROOMS? Why is that? Who made that up? They're crazy!"
Gorgonzola is a member of the Mozzarella family, using his standing in society in order to go to parties in Vegas every night. He's snooty, stuck-up, and a little bit effeminate. Though he loves to have a good time and will share it with anybody who comes to talk to him. I also want him to have a bit of a nasally voice. A good vocal inspiration would be Count Olaf from Series of Unfortunate Events (Jim Carey's version) but even more snooty.
"Hello, hello, HELLO! So good to see a friendly face in this backwater town. Want a drink? I tell ya, I'm usually seen without atleast two glasses."
"They call me Gorgonzola, baby. I'm the brother-in-law of a man by the name of Tony Mozzarella. Ever heard of him? He is SUCH a doll."
"Ah yes, you want to meet the Big Cheese himself? I understand. He's going to be at a big dinner and party at the Ultra Luxe sometime soon."
Grana serves only as a way to keep the player out of a Dinner Party until they have reached a certain point in the quest. However, he is a bit in of an easter egg in that the player can stick around to hear him say some rather strange things. More of a joke character than anything.
"This way to the Mozzarella Family Dinner Party. Wondering why the doorman is a bouncer? That's just how intense these dinner parties get."
"It's cause I'm taking this new medication. It makes you forget your past. I don't remember why I'm taking it though..." (Player asks why he can't tell him anything about his past.)
"Actually, wait: I do remember one thing. Last year, I went on a camping trip with my buds up in the mountains near Jacobstown."
Major Cornelius is a member of the NCR (North California Republic) stationed at the local outpost in response of the growing use of Hype in the Mojave. Though he's less concerned about the people's protection and more of his own. He is a nervous, easily frightened man who's typically only thinking of himself. His quest in the story revolves around a bomb that's been planted in the barracks of the outpost.
"Oh, uh, good evening? Ranger Jackson made sure to let you know that if you have any issues currently, please address me instead."
"Holy hell, a bomb!? I knew that Plumber looked suspicious! What are we going to do? That was hours ago: who knows how much more time we have left?"
"It may be too late to call in a bomb squad, but I can't tell Ranger Jackson: I'm already on thin ice with him 'over something I'd rather not get into right now' (that part said under his breath) and this incident won't help matters."
A rather dimwitted but still friendy super mutant, Cotija was tricked by the Munsters into selling Hype to others of his kind. In order to get this role, it would help to understand the way in which Super Mutants in the Fallout games talk: they have deep, gruff voices but also talk like cavemen kinda. Cotija isn't much different, except he's more lighthearted in the way that he talks.
"Squishy human: buy Cotija's drugs. You won't be disappointed! Cotija sell best drugs in wasteland!"
"Well, Cotija was standing (pauses to look down)...here...and human in trenchcoat walked up and asked Cotija if he want to make everybody in Jacobstown happy."
"Cotija has wares if you have caps."
Deputy Pickles is the newest defender of the town of Novac, however he clearly isn't fit for the role. When the player first meets him, he is incredibly wasted off of cheap whiskey. Though that doesn't stop him from having an upbeat attitude. If you do this role, remember that he is completely drunk through out most of the dialogue, so he speaks slowly, slurs his words, and pauses a lot.
"...uck...good...good afternoon civilian...don't you just...love this town? "
"Yeah...I like walked into town and was immediately given position of deputy...who'd a thought?"
"I hope that...you're ready for a fire fight boy...cause I got a gun, but I'm swaying so much I'm starting to feel motion sickness..."
