Project Overview
Down Ros Lane is an animated series that follows Taylor Ros as she navigates college, friendships, romance, and unexpected growth of her blog, Keeping Up with Taylor. This will be a 2-3 minute video. If selected, will be considered for future media posts that utilize the characters.

College: Sophomore
Background: Biracial — Black and Asian
Role: Main Character
Personality: Taylor is a soft spoken, thoughtful, and naturally takes on a leadership role within her friend group. she doesn’t need to be loud or demanding to take charge. She has a quiet confidence that makes people comfortable listening to her and coming to her for advice.
She is strong willed and determined once she decides she wants something. Taylor cares deeply about the people in her life and often wants to help solve their problems, even when those problems aren’t necessarily hers to solve.
Her biggest weakness is that she can get carried away. When Taylor becoming passionate about an idea, project relationship, or goal, she can become so focused on it that she doesn’t realize how much of her attention to consuming and can feel very defeated when things do not work out the way she hopes it to.

Personality
Sammy is Taylor’s younger sister and a determined go-getter with a long list of things she wants to accomplish.
She’s currently studying psychology with the goal of becoming a psychologist, but music is another major part of her life. Sammy loves singing and dreams about the possibility of becoming a professional singer.
She’s ambitious, passionate, outspoken, and willing to chase opportunities when they appear. Unlike Taylor, Sammy isn’t particularly interested in keeping her opinions to herself. If she thinks something, there’s a good chance everyone else is going to know about it.
Sammy also has a temper. She can react quickly when she’s frustrated, hurt, or passionate about something and sometimes speaks before she’s had time to think.
Despite her fiery personality, Sammy genuinely cares about people. Her ability to recognize emotions and understand why people behave the way they do is part of what draws her toward psychology.

Personality
Sophia is sweet, bubbly, adventurous, and always ready to do something.
She’s the kind of person who hears, “This might be a terrible idea,” and responds, “Okay, but when are we going?”
Her bubbly personality and Valley Girl way of speaking can sometimes cause people to underestimate her intelligence. In reality, Sophia is incredibly ambitious. She’s studying toward becoming a lawyer while also working as a yoga instructor.
Sophia is a go-getter who doesn’t like waiting around for opportunities to find her. She’s willing to put herself out there, try new things, meet new people, and encourage the people around her to do the same.
She’s also genuinely kindhearted. Even when she’s being dramatic or overly enthusiastic, her intentions usually come from a good place.
Okay, wait. I’m literally obsessed with this idea.
I have yoga, at nine, class at eleven, and about six chapters to read tonight. So obviously I’m free.
I can be spontaneous and responsible. Those things are, like, not mutually exclusive.

Personality
Eli is sweet, kindhearted, hardworking, and naturally funny.
He’s studying engineering while working part-time as a plumber for his family’s business. Growing up around the family business has made him practical and comfortable fixing things with his hands.
Eli doesn’t try particularly hard to impress people. A lot of his charm comes from the fact that he’s simply comfortable being himself.
His humor can come out unexpectedly, especially when he’s trying to make someone feel less awkward or nervous. He’s caring without being overly serious and tends to show people that he cares through his actions.
Eli’s easygoing nature also makes him a good balance for Taylor. While Taylor can overthink situations or become consumed by something she’s working on, Eli has a way of bringing things back down to earth.
I like you. I figured saying it normally would save us both about three weeks of awkwardness.
