Project Description
I make comic dubs for my favorite book series, Keeper of the Lost Cities, and I will be doing that for the first seven chapters of the first book, and every first chapter of the rest of the series. So far there are seven books, and the eighth one is coming out this November. There will be a ninth one.
The series is about a young girl, 12 years old when the story takes off, who became telepathic at the age of 5. One day when she's on a school field trip, she meets someone who is also telepathic, and he tells her that they're not actually human, they're elves. He brings her to a perfect world of fairy tale creatures and places, and she has to adapt to her new life while solving the mystery of who she is and why she was living with humans. What her purpose is.

Drawing takes a lot of time for me, so I'm casting in advance, but I can always request lines in advance if you do not want to be a part of this project for as long as it will take (I'm anticipating a few years, I've already been doing it for a year and I'm only on the third chapter, plus I did another scene from the seventh book). You may give me the lines sooner than I need them, but just keep in mind it may be awhile before I actually publish the video they'll be a part of.
Also, many of these characters are not major characters throughout the series. I have another KotLC project with the more major characters of the series, if you're curious you can go check that one out and submit auditions there.

I'd prefer if you have a discord and are open to joining a discord server. If not that's okay, I mostly care about getting the right voices, but it's easier for me to manage all the actors on one server.
Also, I encourage you to try as many of the roles as you feel you're capable or comfortable to do. I might not think your voice fits for the character you do audition for, but I might think it totally fits for a different character. It's hard to know if your voice might fit another character when you're not voicing the other character. And it always saddens me because someone might submit a really good audition, but I don't think their voice fits that character. Also, since many of these characters are minor, I might double cast someone if they can change their voice enough for multiple characters.

Another big sweetheart, the father of Sophie's friend Fitz, and was the lead of the investigation to find Sophie.

I see Fitz wasn't kidding about the brown eyes. Most unusual. (all elves have blue eyes)
There's nothing to be embarrassed about. I think the color is quite pretty. Don't you, Fitz?
Kidnapping is a human crime. I've never heard of an elf even considering such a thing--much less trying it. What made you think it was one of us?
Mr. Forkle is Sophie's guardian in a way, he's her senior next door neighbor. He should sound relatively old, but don't overplay it because he's not actually a senior, is normal voice is more middle-aged. But it shouldn't sound obviously fake, or at least don't play on the fact that it's fake.

Sophie's human sister. Nine-Eleven years old. Shouldn't sound SUPER young. Could sound like a young teen. Fights with Sophie a lot, so should sound like an annoying younger sister for the first line. But later she should sound confused, scared, and agitated.
Yeah, Soybean. Get crackin'

That was Mr. Sweeney calling because he couldn't find you at the museum. What were you thinking, wandering off like that--especially now, with the fires making everyone nervous? Do you have any idea how worried I was? And Mr. Sweeney was about to call the police!
Sophie's human father, also Amy/Natalie's father. Very playful and positive, no negative vibes here. Calls Sophie Soybean.
And how's my Soybean?
You okay, Soybean?
*laughs* Sorry, Soybean, we're your parents--whether you like it or not.
Councillor Bronte is pretty cold and not a fan of Sophie Foster at all. At least, not for a while.
What? (demanding)

So, Sophie (Bronte sneered her name like it bothered him to say it).
Alden tells me you're a Telepath.
That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard.
He's so lovable. He's a big teddy bear. Kenric radiates warmth and love and positive vibes. He is sunshine.
He only has one line... but I may eventually have something to dub with him that's not part of the main story, so I added more lines from further in the story.

We don't know, no one's died of old age yet.

I've never seen such natural talent. You're even a natural at our language. Your accent is perfect. Almost as perfect as these guys.
He is part of an evil organization, and he's pretending to be a random passerby in attempt to kidnap Sophie. He comes to play later in the series, but he's not a major character so he never talks in the first chapters except for one chapter in book one.
