Trust Me, I’m the Narrator
Project Overview
This is just your typical hero vs villain, good vs evil, very usual very normal story. With one twist. The narrator is a little late to the party.
Join our main character, the narrator, as he figures out what’s going on just enough to give a passable narration. Will he figure out the story in time?
Animators and other production team members are also needed.
Other voice acting parts will be added later, so don’t worry if you don’t get a lead.
This will be uploaded to YouTube. I can’t promise any money will be made off of this, but if there is it will be split evenly amongst everyone who participates.

Pretty much a stereotypical narrator voice. You can think game show host or announcer. He is more of a multi dimensional character than the average narrator, but he should still sound pretty typical.
Oh, am I late to the party? Dang it, I knew this would happen as soon as they told me Little Red Riding Hood was running long!
Behold our hero as he’s... arrested? Can someone get me another script? This cannot be right.
Okay, I’ll admit it, I was wrong. But at this point I think we’ve fully committed sooo let’s just go with it!
Prince Phillip sounds like the basic fairy tale heroine, but he’s fully aware that this is a film rather than real life. When in character he sounds regal and powerful and when out of character he sounds sometimes sassy and sarcastic, but mostly he just wants the movie to be as good as it can be.
Begone, foe! Thine villainy beith detestable! Yeah, that’s basically Shakespeare, right?
Um, sorry, can we do another take? Great, I got it this time. *sudden battle cry* Yeah no, I know, sorry.
Lets put these ludicrous claims to the test. I challenge you to a duel!
Kevin acts as the villain in this story. He has no idea it’s a film until the narrator talks to him, so he’s always completely serious. He should sound fairly normal but have sort of shifty undertones. He’s a master of subtle and not so subtle manipulation. Basically his voice should sound like he’s trying very hard to sound not like a villain but you can clearly tell he is.
Can you quit calling me Kevin?! I’m much more dangerous than someone named Kevin.
You’re the narrator? Can’t you like, lose your job by talking to me or something.
If you’re as on my side as you say you are, I don’t see why it’s such a hardship for you to unlock the door. I mean, if you’re trying to salvage this mess of a story, it could only be a good thing, hm?
This role is exactly what it sounds like. I need someone who can bring the characters together into a cohesive and attractive thumbnail, as this will be uploaded onto YouTube. If you could link artwork and/or thumbnails you’ve done in the past, that will be your audition.
Say something you think would fit
I’ll need someone who can animate the story line fairly smoothly. It doesn’t have to be anything super professional, but I’d prefer it to be as high quality as possible. If you’ve animated anything before, please link that. If not please animate something short just so I know your capabilities.
Say something you think would fit
Please link past work or create something new so I know your capabilities.
