This is the official casting for the JPDE voice-team.

Hello there, I'm Meinos Kaen, and this is my favourite JPDE Fandub Project! Well, it's the only fandub project who's ever existed for my silly fan game but, Devin's passion and some of the auditions impressed me so much that I've decided to get involved with this: aka these now become the auditions for the official JPDE Voice Team.

What does that mean, exactly? It means that I will be personally involved in the creation of the videos, up to and including writing completely original scenes for the voice actors to perform.

Other than that, nothing else has changed. The deadline and rules are still the same. I'd just like to add that the first scenes from the game we're going to record are Pyrrha's First Date and Buildups. So, if you played the game, you can probably guess whose voices are more in request, at the moment. :D Happy casting!

Since this game is not fully developed yet, I will come back at times to make more aditions for characters and other things needed.
The rule here is that you can do mulitple auditions but you can only get at max 3 characters, the deadline will be for 28th February. The mods for the discord-group will help me judge.
If we do not consider any of the auditions to meet up with the quality we expect, I will leave the role empty.

  • The process

    Well, now that the deadline has passed, me and the 4 judges will go through each role to set people as "casted" or "on probation". What that means is that people will either be clear casted and nothing to worry about. The people who gets "On probation" is on the right track but we will need to see something special before we make a decision on casting that role or not. For those who didn't get a role or was a bit late on the news, we will make more auditions on this project as time goes on so you may get another shot in the future with the same character or a different character. Glad to see so many people interested in the project and we hope to recive more of your support in the future.

    Just an update to say that if I do not consider one of the auditions to meet up in quality, I will leave the role empty for the moment.

Penny is amiable, excitable, kind and curious. She shows a distinct lack of social awareness, likely due to not having a lot of experience with human nature. When Ruby made an unconditional offer of friendship, Penny seemed both immensely pleased and somewhat surprised. Another small quirk is that Penny hiccuped whenever she told a lie.

Evelyn is an interesting figure, not just sexually, she loves teasing her friends but is also ready to cut in at anytime to help them out. She knows no concept of personal-space, always teases her friends and people she find interesting but is also not just a bunny that will hide in a hole. Give her the chance and she will make sure to hurt you, both physically and mentally.

Jacqueline B. Ivory (or Jack for short), is the leader of team JADE/JPDE. While she may come across as rough and almost beast-like, she is also caring about her team and friends. She often tries to think of the team over herself, with mixed results between chaos and order. But as most strong characters do, she has a tragic backstory, where her father was killed and her sister taken from her.
Can she keep herself in check, while keeping her own team in check? Well, as long as you don't let het get close to the kitchen.

Ever since she was little, Ruby has had a romanticised view of the Huntsman profession. She is quick to reveal she wanted to become a huntress in order to be like the great heroes in fairy tales, and she has described being one as far more "romantic" than being a police officer. Her mentality is described as "I don't have time for my emotions. I've gotta make sure that everybody else is okay." She has also shown a distinct lack of ability picking up social cues due to being a very open and honest person.

  • As Penny's first friend in Vale and leader of Team RWBY, the coolest Amalgamof future Huntresses currently in Beacon, I have to inform you that I find you lacking as her future teammate. (Accusing in a playful sense, like you are messing with someone for fun)

Blake is shown to be an introvert. Though she reads books to distance herself from the discussion at hand, as the series continues, she is shown to be more facetious and friendly. Blake appears most conversant when discussing the history and plight of her people.
As a Faunus, Blake has faced discrimination in the past and wears a bow when around humans in order to be treated for her character and not her species. However, despite having no hate for humans, she has seen how the real world works and wonders how she can undo so many years of hate and pain.

Yang is described as being a cheerful, energetic and bright young lady. She is arguably the most flippant, carefree and adventurous member of her team, frequently making sarcastic comments and jokes even in the heat of battle and often taking combat and hostile situations lightly. Yang is very sociable and extroverted, even in unfamiliar situations. Blake considers Yang the personification of the word "strength".

Everything has been decided for Weiss in her life, and because of it, she is a bit of a rebel. This manifests itself in her physical appearance as she wears her ponytail to the side of her head, disrupting the symmetry of the rest of her outfit. Weiss felt lonely throughout her life, which translated into a cold nature. Constant attacks by the White Fang added heavy strain to her life, explaining her often difficult personality. After warming up to people, she places a great deal of trust in her friends and confides in them when she feels the need without abandoning her usual strict attitude.

Bella is an interesting character, she seems to have a strong connection to David, claiming that he is her older brother in a brother-complex sort of way. Yet when things go down, she also seems to have a connection with Jack.
Who really is Bella? Will she ever get the chance to explain, or will she just keep on chasing after her big brothers affection?

Jaune begins as an outgoing, goofy and all-around friendly person. He treats people equally and has no problems expressing himself to strangers and bonds with them easily, showing a lot of confidence. When faced with entirely new social situations, Jaune’s confidence leads to bold behavior. This can become out of hand and backfire when pursuing romance.
Jaune has shown to care for his friends and the people around him, being protective of them and having a sense of responsibility as team leader. He focuses only on his teammates' well-being physically, mentally and emotionally, disregarding his own to ensure theirs. He steps forward when others threaten his friends, and he has proven himself unwilling to do something that may hurt those he cares about.

Pyrrha is a very professionally-capable, friendly, righteous yet relaxed and selfless person. She is a composed and collected individual who, despite being a celebrity, was modest and patient around people, making her very sociable. Additionally, she tends to be quite formal. In addition to her impressive range of combat abilities, she was a quick thinker, knowing her limits and assessing her opponents before acting.

Nora Valkyrie

A happy-go-lucky, bubbly and playful young girl, Nora is mainly characterized by her boundless enthusiasm. When Nora talks, many of her words may sometimes come out randomly without her actually giving much thought to anything she comes up with. This is caused by her tendency to jump into a different topic most of the time and her rather peculiar imagination. Because of this and her free-spirited attitude, Nora's personality changes according to her mood and she is prone to becoming a nuisance to the people around her, losing the point of a conversation, or even experiencing anxiety attacks. However, Nora is more insightful than one would think and is capable of being serious when mostly necessary. This rare sense of seriousness of hers is most prominently displayed during the battle against the Nuckelavee, where she literally slaps sense into Ren who was consumed in his need for revenge against the Grimm who wiped out his village and family.

Ren is usually mellow and wishes for peace and quiet. He seems very much in control of himself. He is unbothered by Nora Valkyrie's bubbly and contrasting personality, showing a great deal of patience when dealing with his hyperactive, happy-go-lucky childhood friend.

Velvet is a very shy, quiet girl who tends to keep to herself, either by choice or because she is isolated by others for being a Faunus. Even when being picked on by others, she tends to act very reserved and refuses to fight back. One can say that she is very timid.

Coco appears to be very confident: her self-assurance is expressed in the very way she struts down the battlefield. Her experience with Grimm has been consistent enough that their appearance no longer fazes her. Coco is confident enough in her team that she holds Velvet Scarlatina back from combat when she tries to unleash her weapon. She is also seen slapping Fox Alistair on his bottom as she compliments his performance.

As a young girl, Amber received the powers of the Fall Maiden, either by being the last person in the thoughts of the previous maiden, or otherwise through a random selection, if the last person the previous host thought of was ineligible for the title. As the new host, Amber was granted tremendous power and became the next in a line which has persisted for thousands of years.

Roman's personality was a mixture between that of a formal gentleman and a ruthless criminal. He emits charm and speaks calmly even in the middle of an armed robbery. Roman emits hostility when upset or frustrated, as seen in "No Brakes", when he ordered the White Fang to help him shoot Ruby as she escaped, bent his weapon, and slammed a subordinate backward.

Ozpin is typically both stoic and affable towards people he speaks to. It can be inferred from his indifference toward Ruby fighting Roman Torchwick, as well as the way he literally launches new students into the Emerald Forest for the Beacon Academy Initiation, that he has no real problem putting his students in mortal danger, given the right reasons or to accomplish an objective.

Glynda Goodwitch

Glynda has a very stern and sharp personality - one that does not tolerate mischief or needlessly getting into dangerous situations. This is apparent when she berates Ruby Rose for fighting Roman Torchwick and his group in the first episode. She does, however, admit that Ruby might have done the right thing, despite the fact she put her own life and the lives of others in great danger. Glynda is mainly seen as cool and business-like; even her fighting is very systematic.

Her stern behavior is not absolute, however. After cleaning up after the food fight, she sighs with weariness and takes Ozpin's advice to go easy on Teams RWBY and JNPR Her concern in the moment reveals that she's driven by her desire to guide her students into being defenders of the world. Glynda also shows compassion toward James Ironwood on multiple occasions, despite being vocal about her disapproval of him and some of his methods.

Ironwood is courteous to his allies, as shown by his first onscreen interaction with Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch. He is also far-thinking and tactical, wondering about the future, as seen when he speaks to Ozpin about Qrow's message.

Ironwood has a jovial and friendly public persona. His skills as a communicator see him acting as a spokesman for the weapon manufacturers of Atlas. In this role, he is easy-going and humorous, able to draw a crowd into his presentation.
